 Valfreya, the Viking Metal sextet from Quebec have just announced their album release dates and are streaming a montage video for 'Confront Immensity'. Valfreya's debut album ‘Path To Eternity’ will be released in North America on May 22nd via Maple Metal Records. The official worldwide release date will be on July 4th. Formed in February 2009, Valfreya is a sextet from Montreal, Canada. The vocalist, Crook, has a vocal range of symphonic clean vocals to that of guttural growls. Crook is the main composer of ‘Path to Eternity’ along with key contributions from guitarist Graz’zt, keyboardist Shark, and all the band members. Influenced by the likes of Moonsorrow, Equilibrium, Arkona and Wintersun, the band portrays a more aggressive and energetic take on the folk metal genre. ‘Path to Eternity’ was produced by the band, and was recorded, mixed and mastered in the Autumn 2011 at Silver Wings Studio in Montreal, Canada. Thus, Bookaking Productions in Montreal have produced an Epic Movie Battles Montage to highlight Valfreya’s song “Confront Immensity” which is viewable here. The band will play at Hellfst Lanaudiere 2012 on July 21st, the three day Metalfest north of Montreal, Canada. They will also co-headline a Folk Metal Show in Toronto, Canada on Friday June 15th along with Nordheim, Vesperia, and Protocult. Track listing for ‘Path to Eternity’
