UK progressive metal juggernauts, Exist Immortal, return with their new single 'Flare'. The track is taken from the quintet's upcoming full-length, self-titled album due 14th October via Seek and Strike. 'Flare' features crushing dual guitar madness backed with catchy, soaring melodies and hooks. On the new single, vocalist Meyrick de la Fuente states: "Our new single ‘Flare’ is a rallying call to anyone who has simply had enough. We are all fed up of things we’ve seen over the past few years and we won’t be afraid to join together with others and fight back. The song signals a return to our heavier roots, but brings together all the aspects we have explored over our last couple of releases. It came together as one of the first songs for this new album and it was clear that it would be a guiding light for how the rest of the songs would turn out and grow during the writing process. We are EXIM and this is who we are. We are for everyone who wants to join us on this journey." On the upcoming full-length album, the band comment: "We are very excited to present our latest, self-titled, full length album. For us this is a culmination of a lot of work, building and evolving. We bring back a lot of the heavier elements from our older releases while keeping a lot of the aesthetics and layers from Triptych. As musicians we have always struggled with where to place ourselves amongst our peers and always written music we wanted to make over intentionally fitting into existing trends. We feel that this album is by far our most accomplished and self-assured record to date, reincorporating harsh vocals while exploring new territory on the guitar side of things." In celebration of the album's release date, Exist Immortal will be embarking on a string of UK-based tour dates, including a headline set in Camden's intimate Black Heart on release day. "We are bringing our biggest and best headline show we have ever toured with us and will be playing new songs alongside fan favourites, so old and new fans alike will experience something fresh. Our new record is set for an 14th October release, which we feel is easily our best work to date drawing influence from our entire back catalogue of music into the most refined, truest version of EXIM. This London show will be the official launch party of the new album and we are so excited that this show and iconic venue will be the very first time this new era is brought into the world." Birmingham, UK metal quintet Oceans Ate Alaska — James Harrison [vocals], Chris Turner [drums], James "Jibs" Kennedy [guitar], Adam Zytkiewicz [guitar], and Mike Stanton [bass] — have announced their new album Disparity, out on the 1st of September 2022 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it here. Now, the band has shared the video for the new song "Nova." Watch it here. "In an overcrowded and oppressive modern society, it is all too easy to fall under pressure; collapse inwardly until self-destruct," the band says. "'Nova' develops on the aggressive themes that were smashed into the metal world as of recent with 'New Dawn.' Doubling down on chaotic rhythms, overlapping dissonance and vocal hooks that will get your fist pumping in the air. Nova mirrors the inner human disparity, and has you banging your f***ing head to it." OAA previously dropped the single "New Dawn," which was hailed by Revolver as "If this is the sound a new dawn, then we are fucked. The latest from U.K. metal crew... packs a disgusting amount of sludgy heaviness into a concise minute and 48 seconds. Don't look for any of the pretty, melodic hooks of its predecessor, 2020 single 'Metamorph.' This is unfiltered nihilism." It was also lauded as "ridiculously heavy" by Rock Sound. Oceans Ate Alaska have carefully and quietly progressed to this point. Following their 2015 debut Lost Isles, they presented Hikari in 2017. The song "Hansha" amassed over 12 million Spotify streams as the album surpassed 40 million total streams. Upon arrival, New Noise Magazine raved, "Optimistic, empowering, and mesmerizing, Oceans Ate Alaska’s bold sophomore album is a true progressive metalcore triumph." Along the way, they toured with the likes of Wage War, The Plot In You, We Came As Romans, Like Moths to Flames, and more. Throughout 2021, they assembled what would become Disparity. Inspired by a mutual love for the likes of Bonobo and Alina Baraz, collaborator Clem Cherry enhanced the production with airy beat-craft and immersive sonic accents. At the same time, they absorbed the unease of the world, infusing a post-apocalyptic thematic undercurrent. In the end, Oceans Ate Alaska encode an important message inside of Disparity. "For us, it's about uplifting listeners," Harrison says. "We want them to feel empowered to realize they can be the change they want. It's still what we're doing. It's been a long time since we put out an album, but we're here." Indeed it has been a minute since the last OAA album but it was entirely worth the wait. English electro nu-core mob Seething Akira drop their latest fiery single "Punishment Instructions"2/6/2022 Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. Seething Akira continue to rampage forward with their gloriously turbulent nu-metal sound. Hot off the editorial success of their last album "Dysfunctional Wonderland" and with scheduled appearances at the Heavy Music Awards 2022 on June 5, Download Festival on June 9, and TECH-FEST on July 1st, comes the band's fiery latest single "Punishment Instructions." "'Punishment Instructions' expresses all facets, whether that be positive or negative, of hope, wish and desire," states Seething Akira. "The message expresses the loss of hope due to the uncontrollable actions of others. Punishment Instructions are the side effects of when these immoral actions are resisted." "Punishment Instructions" is a hard-hitting metal track that exemplifies everything fans love about the band. As the song's thought-provoking lyrics examine the effects of trying to resist when others are trying to strip all hope away from you, the heavy rhythms, featuring aggressive guitars, coupled with the aggressive vocals, only add fuel to the rebellious firestorm that is Seething Akira. Warning: This single may induce the urge to jump into your nearest mosh pit. Listen wisely, and use as directed. "Punishment Instructions" is out now from independent multi-genre music label FiXT. Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. Seething Akira have developed a gloriously turbulent sound that is uniquely their own. Founded by vocalists Charlie Bowes and Kit Conrad, Seething Akira are a 6-piece electronic nu-core band hailing from the seafront city of Portsmouth, UK that have been tearing venues apart across Europe with their powerful fusion of genres since 2012. The band's first full-length album, "Sleepy Skeletor", dropped in 2018 and made it clear that Seething Akira would be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. In late 2020, the band launched a series of new singles leading up to their second album, the highly anticipated "Dysfunctional Wonderland". With the strength of the band's music and their popularity with fans rocketing skyward, they connected with electronic rock label FiXT and forged a partnership for their future releases. Seething Akira has been featured on the Rock Hard Spotify editorial list, while their single "Firepower" landed on Kerrang Radio and Scuzz. "I Am The Devil" and "The Islander" were both featured on BBC Introducing, and "The Islander" premiered on Soundsphere Magazine. At home and on the road, Seething Akira have also put their stamp on staple festivals such as Bloodstock, Victorious, Camden Rocks, and many more while touring with bands like The Qemists and The Algorithm. The band dropped the latest album "Dysfunctional Wonderland" in late 2021 and plan to begin releasing new singles in mid 2022. English symphonic folk metal clan Bring To Bear reveal second new single "Time To Burn" with accompanying lyric video. A powerful start with a tense anticipation is followed by a single growled word - “Ignite”. Guitars lead the way with a strong riff before the drums and bass kicks in for the verse. “Burn” is the call with growls, answered by the sweet tones of clean female vocals. The chorus follows, giving more space to the clean vocals with support from accordion and the power of the metal pack. The chorus is followed by a playful accordion instrumental like flames dancing, before going back to the call-and-response verse. The second chorus is doubled, reinforcing the message, and ends with the title phrase “It’s time to burn” as the powerful intro comes back heralding the breakdown. The breakdown is big and seems to have a magnetic pull that gets the listener to head bang with it. Growls return over the breakdown like flames roaring, leading the way to the guitar solo. The solo ends with a feeling of release into the bridge, like the passion spoken of through the lyrics being set free. The final chorus is followed by an accordion solo and a reintroduction of the dancing flames instrumental with guitars and accordion harmonising this time. The song’s lyrics are about the passion we feel inside us, the fire within that gives us meaning. We can feel it inside, a powerful force when it is unleashed. It’s time to follow the passion and let the flames rise up within. It’s time to burn. The single can be found on:

Bring To bear is a symphonic folk metal band from England, on an adventure of making metal with meaning and looking to inspire others along the way. The idea came to life during lockdown in May 2020 by long-time friends and bandmates Hristo Nikolov and Ian Tarboton. They quickly put together their first material and set about expanding the clan. One by one the band came together, each with the same desire and a unique set of skills and stories. Bring To Bear combines the ethereal tones of lead singer Izabela Smyt with the harsh growls of keyboard-accordionist Ian Tarboton, using the raw power of drummer Simon Jones as the backbone for a solid metal pack comprising guitarists Hristo Nikolov and Nik Rotas, and bassist Richard Knight. Guitars swap between lead and rhythm, often play-fighting with accordion, to create strong melodies and plenty of opportunities to head-bang. Bring To Bear seeks authenticity and meaning through music that gives a feeling of adventure, discovery, and courage. They love the adventure of going after their dreams and inspiring others to do the same. For Bring To Bear this is the music, but what will their music inspire you to do? The debut EP, "Light and Shadow", contains three songs and was released on 08 October 2021. Two singles followed this - Rising Tide, released on 04 March 2022, and Time to Burn, released on 27 May 2022. Following the release of their highly anticipated studio album Requiem via Loma Vista Recordings in February, Korn shares a new video for the next single "Worst Is on Its Way". The Craig Bernard and Culley Bunker-directed visual shows the band's high energy performance of the song in greyscale as individual members of the band are decomposed into animated particles with a series of visual effects. The 9-track album features the hit single "Start the Healing," which peaked at #1 on the Active Rock chart, in addition to the previously released tracks "Forgotten," which Rolling Stone described as "explosive" and "Lost In The Grandeur," which dropped as a final taste of Requiem just a few days before the record's release. Recently described by GQ as "bold and iconoclastic" and released to high acclaim including recent features on the covers of Revolver and King Kong magazines, Requiem is produced by Korn and Chris Collier. Energized by a new creative process free of time constraints, the band was able to do things with Requiem that the past two decades haven't always afforded them, such as taking additional time to experiment together or diligently recording to analogue tape - processes which unearthed newfound sonic dimension and texture in their music. Additionally, Korn is slated to take their live show across a worldwide run of headline festival and amphitheater tour dates kicking off this summer and running into the fall. The extensive tour begins with a headline performance at Daytona Beach's Welcome To Rockville festival before kicking off EU/UK dates in Amsterdam on May 25th. The tour will see stops in Berlin, London, Stockholm, Budapest and more before returning stateside for dates in Denver, Charlotte, Dallas, Boise and others. Tickets are currently available for purchase HERE. Partnering with this record label is a massive step forwards and we are incredibly excited for the bright future ahead of us. “Before You Drown” is our first EP, conceived largely during the initial stages of lockdown. The project shifts our sound into a new spectrum, with a distinct focus on dynamic song-writing, electronic sound-design and atmosphere, all the while making sure to retain our penchant for hefty riffs and soaring melodies. Lyrically we turned our eyes inwards, reflecting on the personal issues and mental struggles that have permeated our everyday lives over the past year in a way we hope is both relatable and incisive. Bands such as Linkin Park, Bring Me the Horizon, Deftones and Don Broco were always in our minds during the writing process, though we also drew heavy inspiration from a wide sphere of genre influences, including alternative rock, heavy metal, electronica, synth-wave, and modern pop. Junction 28 is a band hailing from Essex in the UK. Aiming to combine huge riffs, dense electronics and soaring vocals into one cohesive aural assault, the group is now ready to show its new face to the world. Junction 28 is managed by UAC management and will be appearing in music venues in the very near future. Line up:
Demonic outfit Cradle Of Filth is proud to release an extraordinary new video, accompanying their magnificently mournful track "How Many Tears To Nurture A Rose?". The video premiered as part of Cradle Of Filth's Infernal Vernal Equinox Deadstream, and now fans all across the globe can also bask in its sublime black magick. Directed by Vicente Cordero, the stunning video winds a haunting tale - sinister, alluring, and deadly. But he that dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose... Infamous front-man Dani Filth stated: "This is yet another great video by director Vicente Cordero, encapsulating the occult essence of the song’s lyricism with great sweeping colourful strokes of total batshit-craziness. It really makes for frightening, yet strangely compelling viewing!" The gates of hell opened once again in 2021, revealing Cradle Of Filth's 13th manifesto "Existence Is Futile". Pieced together in isolation at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk with studio guru Scott Atkins, the record is a pitch-black, perverse and at times absurdly brutal masterpiece, based around the concept of existentialism. Diehard fans were thrilled to learn that horror icon Doug 'Pinhead' Bradley made a welcome return, lending his dulcet tones to the band's most politically astute song to date, the epic "Suffer Our Dominion" as well as the album bonus track "Sisters Of The Mist", which is the conclusion to the "Her Ghost In The Fog" trilogy, started over 20 years ago on the infamous and classic Midian. Hardcore / thrash band Cage Fight have released the video for new single "Respect Ends." Watch it here. The accompanying video, satisfyingly played out by Cage Fight vocalist Rachel Aspe, arrives as a warning to those that attempt to prey on others. The singer explains:- "This song is dedicated to men (or in fact anyone) who thinks it's ok to harass, abuse, make inappropriate comments, or not take no for an answer, both in the real world but also online. It's also a message of solidarity to those who have been victims of such behaviour. The video is symbolic of the frustration and damage this can cause, and it's something we, as a society, should not and will not accept. The final message is clear. If this is how you behave, stay the f**k away. Otherwise, you will regret it."
The band's debut self-titled album is due out May 13 on Candlelight. Pre-order it here. One of the most furious hardcore records to emerge from the UK in recent years, the anger and frustration of Cage Fight's self-titled debut album is the perfect catharsis for our times. The album's artwork — a grabbing hand with the Cage Fight logo tattooed on the palm — visually portrays the violent rage at the core of the band's music. Legitimately inked by Aspe, a tattoo artist by trade, the process of creating the image is as impactful as the final artwork itself.
https://www.facebook.com/cagefighthc/ English symphonic folk metallers Bring To Bear unveil new single "Rising Tide" with a lyric video. "Rising Tide" is an adventurous sounding song led by a bold accordion theme. This theme kicks off the song with a feeling of excitement, but as the theme ends the tone changes suddenly to something a lot darker. The verse is growling on top of hard guitars and drums, and the lyrics tell a story of being lost at sea in a dark storm. Accordionist and growler, Ian Tarboton, describes this as being reflective of those moments in life when we feel lost and confused, like a storm raging in our minds. At the end of the verse it feels like the clouds start to lift a bit as lead singer, Izabela Smyt, sings the build up to the chorus. The chorus comes crashing down like pounding waves from the tide, with growling and singing at the same time. Each vocal style carries its own message, the growling calling out from the deepest parts within us, and the singing bringing clarity of mind. It’s a message to listen to the voice of our hearts to find the clarity within the storms we face. As the song progresses it launches into a soaring bridge of strings and singing, followed by a breakdown that boldly declares defiance against the storm and a determination to not be stuck in the confusion of mediocrity. The song overcomes the storm and returns to the adventurous theme that began the journey. Ian Tarboton describes it as being a metaphor for our lives, where we set out on the journey of life and come up against many storms, but by listening to our hearts (what is truly meaningful to us) we rise above the storms and confusion, and we can continue the journey onwards.
