Hot alt rockers Blood Red Shoes have just unveiled the dark new video for their song "The Silence and The Drones", taken from their latest album "In Time To Voices’".
Featuring a more disturbing and surreal quality to it than the band’s previous visuals, the music video was shot in Jakarta, Indonesia by Craig Murray and features a dreamlike struggle through deep water with detailed illustrations, and the appearance of a very well known mystery guest.
Blood Red Shoes member Steven Ansell states that:
“‘The Silence and The Drones’ is one of our favorite songs from the last record, partly because it's quite different from what we normally do. So we asked our friend Craig Murray to make a video that was dark and beautiful and nothing like a regular rock video. He went to Indonesia and came back with this.”
In regards to the video creation process, video director Craig Murray explains that
“The film was made in a pretty old fashion way; no after effects were used and it was built partly on a scanner frame by frame with a pencil. The paper moth was animated by folding and unfolding it on the bed of the scanner... pretty much every part of the film employed a lengthy process to create.

Furthermore the band has recently released three exciting new songs in the form of the ‘Water’ EP, recorded with John Congleton (The Roots / The Walkmen / Explosions In The Sky) in Texas.
