"A beautifully intense 10-minute clip" - Rolling Stone "The video is still as intense as can be: the natural, foreboding textures of it seem to leap out of the screen as readily as the song's cavernous beats and limitless emotions." - FADER "An impressive, epic visualization of one of the most gut-wrenching songs on the record." - Stereogum "Harrowing, grand...a draining, memorable viewing experience." - The Verge "The epic opus of her new LP" - Juxtapoz "Captivating" - Consequence of Sound A short film chronicling the making of Björk's "Black Lake" video, produced by Autodesk, is premiering today via The Creators Project. Watch it here. The film includes interviews with Björk, director Andrew Thomas Huang, collaborators at Autodesk, Wolf & Crow, xRez and more discussing the video. After seeing some of the initial storyboards for Björk's "Black Lake" and discussing concepts for the Vulnicura album and MoMA retrospective, it was clear that Autodesk had a lot to offer with its tools and network of innovative minds to help execute Björk's vision. Working with an imaginative artist like Björk and director Andrew Huang was an amazing opportunity to push Autodesk technology beyond what was previously thought possible. This video is a behind-the-scenes look at how the team worked to create various pieces for the Black Lake exhibition and cinema room at MoMA, the "moving album cover" for "Family" and artwork for Vulnicura. "Black Lake" was originally commissioned by MoMA to debut as the centerpiece of Björk's 2015 museum retrospective, and is taken from Björk's Grammy-nominated eighth studio album Vulnicura. Vulnicura was released to widespread critical acclaim and has been named to Best of 2015 lists by Rolling Stone, NPR Music, Spin, Stereogum, Complex, Consequence of Sound and many more. Vulnicura was written, produced and recorded in collaboration with Venezuelan producer Arca and British musician The Haxan Cloak. Of the album's nine tracks, six are written by Björk with two co-written with Arca and one co-written with Spaces. Six songs are produced by Björk and Arca, one by Björk, Arca and The Haxan Cloak and two by Björk. All string arrangements are by Björk. The album was mixed by The Haxan Cloak and engineered by Chris Elms, with two songs mixed by The Haxan Cloak and Elms, and mastered by Mandy Parnell. Vulnicura is Björk's first release since the 2011 album and multimedia project Biophilia. Recent praise for Vulnicura:
New York Times - The Best Albums of 2015 "Even amid the most abstruse music, these songs have an emotional immediacy. The physicality of Björk's voice and the strings are even more striking against the impersonal electronic sounds, all the better to reveal the interior landscape of heartbreak and healing—not a simple story, and all the better for it." Rolling Stone - Best Albums of 2015 So Far "...with Björk, even simplicity is intricate business. Arranged for voice with orchestral strings and electronic beats, Vulnicura is a unified set of nine dark, swarming, melodically distended songs...this may be the most heart-rending music she's ever made." NPR - Top 10 Albums of 2015 "What…Björk has accomplished at the intersection of pop and the avant-garde cannot be summed up in one detail, but one thing to focus on is the way she sings the word "emotional." Climbing it like one of the cliffs she often evokes in her pastoral lyrics, she lets it open up like a vista on its central, circulatory "o." The word becomes a Valkyrie's cry, a statement of purpose both sacred and humanly thrilling." Los Angeles Times - Essential Albums of 2015 "The artist's most personal record in a career full of vocal and emotional drama...it's an exquisite, inspired and typically angular listen, filled with much texture and impatient roaming, with musical and vocal tones built into spatial structures that fearlessly trace the lyrical ordeals...fans like myself will find much to love as we explore its many peaks and valleys." Pitchfork - Best Albums of 2015 "a one-woman rhapsody so radically cathartic it is practically avant-garde." Vulnicura is available at www.bjork.com.

Sometimes things aren't meant to be but that doesn't make it any easier, young love is an awesome thing but sometimes the people you love change before your eyes. If You Can't Hang "Unafraid of the saccharine – blends tender and anguished in equal measure." – Jon Caramanica, New York Times "Pop-punk's punchiest young band offers a hot new take on the classic rock and roll theme of young hearts burning bright."- Ann Powers, NPR Sleeping With Sirens have announced that Live and Unplugged, an album that features their songs performed acoustically, will be released on April 8 via Epitaph. The songs were recorded live during the band's intimate, 12-city "We Like it Loud Quiet" tour in the summer of 2015. On the tour, Sleeping With Sirens performed acoustic versions of songs from their latest album Madness, fan favorites from their catalog, and a handful of special cover songs (Sublime's "Santeria" and Goo Goo Dolls's "Iris") in small rooms for die-hard fans. Live and Unplugged is a documentation of the experience for all to enjoy. Front man Kellin Quinn explains: "Our live dynamic is very different (in a good way) compared to our studio sound. We wanted to give our fans a live experience that they could relive at home over and over! Very proud of this album."
