Following their breakthrough debut album, dubbed “one of the year’s best” by Kerrang! Magazine, and a packed-out headline tour across the UK, Vukovi have revealed a thought provoking new video for their single, ‘Weirdo’, and confirmed UK headline tour dates beginning in May, and festival appearances. “This video is about raising awareness to the victimisation and cultural impact that bullying, and more specifically cyber bullying, has on young people in today's digital age,” frontwoman Janine Shilstone explains. "The idea came after chatting to numerous fans at our shows and learning about the hell they go through at school because they like "weird music" or dress differently. They would tell me that our music made them feel like they fit in somewhere and our shows were a place to meet like-minded people. The girls featured in our video have all been victims of cyber bullying at an extreme level, and for them to be a part of this is not only courageous but a massive fuck you to the people that made them feel the way they did. If these girls can stand up and do it, we all can. And if this video makes any one victim not feel alone, then we've done our job. I want people to embrace their quirks and be proud that they don't fit the mould. Embrace the weirdo in you. #weirdo4lyf” Watch ‘Weirdo’ here - https://youtu.be/0u0yMynjIEw March 2017 saw the long-awaited release of Vukovi’s debut album receive rave reviews. Actress and singer Lea Michele will play a one off show at Shoreditch Town Hall, London on Friday 21st April
The intimate show will see her preview tracks from her new album ‘Places’ which is out 28th April. Tickets can be purchased here: http://leamichele.com/2017 Lea has also launched the preorder for the 11 track album, which features the previously released “Love Is Alive” and her powerful new song “Anything’s Possible,” which USA TODAY says is an “anthem that’s ready to inspire.” Lea recently performed “Love Is Alive” on The Late Late Show with James Corden and also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “When it came time to name my album, I settled on ‘Places’ because this album for me represents a return to form, a return to the stage, and a return to the place I belong,” Lea says. “When you perform on Broadway the word “Places” is the last thing you hear over the loudspeaker before a show is about to begin. “Places” I thought was the perfect title for this music and how it reflects who I am as an artist today and where I come from.” In 2009 Lea Michele debuted in her role as perfectionist firecracker “Rachel Berry” on Ryan Murphy’s critically acclaimed, Golden Globe- and SAG Award-winning series, “Glee.” In 2010, Michele was honoured with an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Actress – Comedy. That same year, the “Glee” cast won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, among other awards. She can currently be seen on Fox as Hester in the dark Ryan Murphy comedy “Scream Queens.” She also received raved reviews for her stage performance in the role of “Wendla” for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of “Spring Awakening,” which earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. While appearing on television and stage, Michele’s love for music has been a focus point in her career. In March of 2014, she released her album, “Louder,” which debuted at No. 1 on iTunes and in the Top 5 on Billboard charts. Her follow up album “Places” will be available April 28th. www.leamichele.com ‘Sentience’ sees the band exploring a darker, heavier sound than before without losing any of their signature trademarks. With the commanding presence of Skarlett at the helm, her powerful and incredibly versatile voice defines Skarlett Riot’s sound and ensures they remain a cut above the rest. Musically the band are exploring a heavier avenue than before; taut guitar lines bolstered by clattering drums but all the while remembering the hooks and melodies that seen this band grow into one of the UK’s finest young bands. The new single Voices - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOQxmAo47gU - As seen on Scuzz TV! Epic, swooning and ethereal, Oslo based duo Anna of the North have unveiled their colourful new video for "Baby" - the wistful, synth-driven follow up single to previous releases "The Dreamer" and "Sway", which were streamed over 21 million times, each track topping the Hype Machine charts. The Peter Pint directed clip features lead singer Anna Lotterud and is a perfect visual representation for the duo's critically acclaimed crafted pop song. Of the video, Anna says: "We made the video whilst on tour in Europe on a day off in Lisbon. We wanted a video that was very graphic and represented the different textures throughout the track. We really like Peter Pint's previous work, he had a real strong connection with the track and we're real happy with what he's done." [ Watch The Video For "Baby" ] "Baby" is out now via Different Recordings ([PIAS]) / Honeymoon (300), the electronic imprint of the [PIAS] family. Having just completed a tour as support to Kygo, Anna Of The North will be playing three shows at 'The Great Escape' in Brighton this week, as well as a couple of London dates as follows:
