The extraordinarily talented Rebecca Ferguson has produced her new album ‘Superwoman’. It is set to be released 14th October and her first single ‘Bones’ will be available from 2nd September. Forged from heartbreak and a tale of lover’s abandonment combined with the bittersweet joy of giving birth to his child, ‘Superwoman’ is infused with the strength of a woman who has finally taken control. It is the ultimate soundtrack for anyone who has ever had to build themselves back up after a heartbreak Rebecca is stronger, happier and more fearless than ever before. Rebecca says of the album “This is honest and emotionally complex, I found strength and security writing this album” adding “It’s my most personal album ever and it’s brought me to a place in my life where I feel strong. I called it Superwoman because I learnt to embrace my vulnerability and accept it as a strength.” ‘Superwoman’ was produced by Troy Miller (Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse), and features collaborators such as Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, James Bay), Negin Djafari (Miley Cyrus) and previous collaborator Eg White (Adele, Florence And The Machine, Sam Smith). Perfectly titled, it sees the band unleashing their feral side, pounding through three and a half minutes of perfect power-pop-rock that stomps along like the fortified gates have just crashed down around the zoo and the beasts are free. Vocalist Janine Shilstone reveals that: "Animal is all about karma and the animalistic qualities of it, once you're on its wanted list there's no escaping it. It's a feisty, energetic and powerful song to us, which I think musically, reflects well with the meaning of it.” The video that accompanies the track allows Vukovi to go suitably wild, smeared in tribal make-up, the camera rotates around the band, harnessing their energy and feeding it directly into our senses. “We wanted the video to be visually animalistic as well hence why we wanted to transform ourselves away from our natural look” continues Janine. “I like the thought of us looking slightly demonic to tie in with the karma theme." ‘Animal’ is available to buy from April 15th on the links below. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/animal-single/id1092632115?app=itunes http://labrecs.com/Animal Vukovi’s debut album will follow later this year. "Vultures is a song we are very excited for people to hear, not only cause of the raw power of the track but because it explores another darker melodic side to Yashin” singer Harry Radford points out. “Everyone goes through pain and heartache and everyone needs to learn to cope in their own way. Sometimes things aren't meant to be but that doesn't make it any easier, young love is an awesome thing but sometimes the people you love change before your eyes. The basis of these life lessons was the inspiration behind Vultures". Watch the video below Featuring heavy riffs, big hooks and bursting with melody ‘‘The Renegades’ will mark the start of a new era for the band who are now back from their silence and plan to conquer everything in their path.
