Living Colour is wrapping up work on their fifth album, Shade. In a recent interview with Loudwire, singer Corey Glover said of the new album, “As time progresses, a shadow falls and it’s about the progression of time. We’re trying to dissect and really take the roots of the music that created us and take it to task.” Andre Betts, who worked with has previously worked with the band, returned to produce a few tracks on the new offering. Reid, in a feature for Guitar World, explained the album is influenced by Reid’s interest in how “the blues, hard rock and metal are connected. We’re not going to do a blues-rock record but the blues is very integral and important. So that conversation has been the underpinning of what we’ve been doing.” Living Colour is Will Calhoun (drums), Corey Glover (vocals), Vernon Reid (guitar) and Doug Wimbish (bass). www.facebook.com/livingcolour www.twitter.com/livingcolour www.livingcolour.com
