Sumerian Records continues to celebrate its 10 year anniversary, announcing the “10 Years In The Black Tour” featuring label artists Asking Alexandria and Born Of Osiris. I See Stars, After The Burial, Upon a Burning Body and Bad Omens round out the North American tour, which launches on Oct. 25 at Seattle’s Showbox Sodo and wraps up in early December. “I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a tour,” Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce said. “Not only is this our first true North American headlining tour in two years, as well as our first real U.S. headliner with Denis [Stoff] as our vocalist, but this is also a tour celebrating the incredible 10 year journey of Sumerian Records. We couldn’t be more proud to headline such a pivotal tour package and to celebrate the music Sumerian has released. The tour will include our biggest production to date and the first trek out in support of our new album, The Black. This is going to be something incredibly special.” “To see the celebration of a decade of Sumerian culminate with this tour is a true reflection of the communal spirit and vision that this label was built upon,” said Sumerian Records Founder Ash Avildsen. “Fans will get to see five headliners all go out together, which is very rare these days because of tour politics, egos, money and everything else that gets in the way of giving music lovers an unforgettable line-up. The fact that these five bands are sharing the stage together and still bringing an opening act to kick off the show makes this a truly special tour. I comment them all. Stay tuned for for lots of upcoming announcements about different activities for bands and fans to interact at at these shows that go beyond just watching them perform on stage. Mark my words: This will be the most progressive and interactive tour we have ever done. See you on the road.” 10 Years In The Black Tour: October 25 Seattle, WA Showbox Sodo October 27 Spokane, WA Knitting Factory October 28 Boise, ID Knitting Factory October 29 Salt Lake City, UT The Complex October 31 Omaha, NE Slowdown November 1 Chicago, IL House of Blues November 4 Cleveland, OH Agora Theatre November 6 Montreal, QC Metropolis November 7 Toronto, ON Phoenix November 9 Buffalo, NY Town Ballroom November 10 Philadelphia, PA The Electric Factory November 11 Portland, ME State Theatre November 12 Worcester, MA The Palladium November 14 New York, NY Webster Hall November 15 Clifton Park, NY Upstate Concert Hall November 16 Baltimore, MD Ram’s Head Live November 18 Norfolk, VA NorVa Theatre November 19 Charlotte, NC Amos Southend November 20 Orlando, FL The Plaza Live November 21 Ft. For Today have put out the following statement: “After over 11 years as a band, 6 full length albums and 1 EP, we have decided to make 2016 the last year of For Today. When we started this band in 2005, we never imagined that our music would make it out of Sioux City, Iowa, let alone take us all around the world multiple times. Our lives have been hugely impacted by the time we've spent making music and touring. We met our wives, had kids and moved to different states because of For Today. It's been an incredible experience, but we feel like now is the time to close this chapter of our lives and move on. There's no behind the scenes drama happening or disagreements between band members. We're all still best friends and will continue to be long after the band is over. We want to thank everybody who has made this possible, especially the fans who have kept us going for so many years. That's why we're excited to announce that we're doing an extensive farewell tour, hitting all our favourite cities. Come hang out with us one last time and let's make these last shows some that we'll never forget!” Their final UK show will take place at renowned London venue - The Underworld, on 27th October.
