After five years, Polish death metal cult Throneum return with their seventh album, Morbid Death Tales, set to be released on October 14th via Hells Headbangers. Throneum have worked with Hells Headbangers in the past - for the vinyl pressing of Deathmass of the Gravedancer as well as split 7"s with Nunslaughter, Destruktor, and Morbid Execution - and this latest Morbid Death Tales with be the band's 39th release to date. On Morbid Death Tales, fans can expect nothing but raw, ugly and morbidly tuned Nightmarish Death Metal full of Darkness and Evil. On the album's last two tracks, Mark of the Devil of label mates Cultes Des Ghoules contributes guest vocals to fill the mood of an old graveyard and create Necrostuprumical Madness!
Throneum was formed in deepest dungeons of Hell back in 1996. Influenced by thousands of '80s and early '90s death and black metal, Throneum is one of the most well-known pure underground bands to hail from Poland. They should need no further introduction for most true blackened death metal fans.
Since the beginning, Throneum staunchly stands in opposition to the mainstream. No originality, no own style, no musical progress, only metal for the Devil as it should be - that's the only stated goal of the band. As the band themselves proclaim, "If you aren't into Necrovore, Sadistik Exekution, Mortem, Order From Chaos, Imperator, Asphyx, Mayhem, and Merciless - keep away from Throneum! That's pure Total Death!" Hear for yourself the first proof of those claims at Hells Headbangers' Bandcamp HERE, with the track "Darkness of Another Circle (II)," where the album can also be pre-ordered. Cover and track-listing are as follows:
With Morbid Death Tales, the album will be the first part of Throneum's trinity of 20th anniversary releases that should appear this year. Also, one gig - and only one, after a five-year absence from the stage - is planned for the Black Silesia Festival, which will also feature Morbosidad, Baphomet's Blood, and Demonomancy among others. Set for November 19th in Gliwice, Poland, more info on the fest can be found HERE.
