BUY 'CRAZY CRAZY'

Japanese super-producer Yasutaka Nakata today unveils his new single 'Crazy Crazy' featuring j-pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and multi-million selling British pop star Charli XCX. The track is accompanied by visuals directed by Kazuaki Seki, now available to watch on YouTube and stream on all partners.

Kazuaki Seki, the genius director behind OK Go's iconic video for 'I Won't Let You Down' supplies hypercolour visuals for 'Crazy Crazy' that see Kyary, Charli and Nakata face-swapped into the fray for a lip-sync party. The track is a typically high energy, sugar-sweet pop single and is Nakata's latest solo effort. Yasutaka Nakata is best known for his production on global hits by j-pop queen Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, j-pop supergroup Perfume and co-founding the Japanese electro unit Capsule. Nakata's productions have gone on to win awards and sell millions worldwide.

Following her latest single 'After The Afterparty' and previous collaborations with PC Music associated artists, Charli XCX's fascination with the genre lead to her first foray into j-pop. Worldwide, Charli has sold 33 million singles and 1 million albums. "I'm definitely a fan of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's music, her style, her art. I think she's a really incredible artist" said Charli of her co-star. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's history as a genre-defining artist, model and vocalist puts her at the centre of the Japanese fashion and music industries, recently celebrating the fifth anniversary of her debut release with a sell-out world tour and greatest hits compilation '5 Years Monster'.

English singer-songwriter Tyni releases 'Fighter', taken from her forthcoming EP of the same name

Meet 21 year old star in the making, Tyni – a  singer-songwriter, but no winsome girl perched on a stool with an acoustic guitar. Describing her music as being “like jumping into my very own Wonderland where each song's a different chapter of my very own fairytale” Tyni’s singing, and song-writing, is state of the art pop music.

Fighter is the first track to be released from Tyni’s forthcoming debut EP of the same name. Alongside the atmospheric, glitchy title track and its remix by Frank Ocean collaborator Troy Noka, the Fighter EP will feature the XCX-ecque synth banger Touch Me and the elegantly sparse Cherrytrees. These songs are the result of Tyni having spent the last few years between LA, London and her home town of Sheffield, recording with the likes of Wayne Wilkins (Beyoncé, Jordin Sparks), MNEK (Zara Larsson, Little Mix), Sophie (Charlie XCX, Madonna) and Britney collaborator Ana Diaz, all of whom have provided the perfect foil for Tyni’s nuanced balance of style and substance.

Tyni grew up in Woodhouse, a small village in Sheffield, with her pharmacist technician mum, gas man dad, and elder sister. School was hard work, “To be blunt, some girls wanted to beat me up.” she says. “Was it the fact I had a unicorn on my bag? I don’t know. I wasn’t quite like everybody else.”. Rather than withdraw into herself or confirm to fit in, Tyni decided to ignore it, continue going about things in her own way and on her own terms and throw herself head-first into her life-long passion of music.

By the age of 9, Tyni was signed up at Sheffield’s Joy Reynolds theatre school. A music industry showcase followed some years later. It was themed around one of Tyni’s other passions – horror films. Present that day was a manager who’d worked with the likes of Lily Allen and Estelle. She saw something in Tyni and introduced her to Wayne Wilkins.  There’s not much Wilkins doesn’t know about the diversity of female pop talents out there, and with Tyni he’d found his muse.

Now here we are in 2017, and Tyni’s unicorn bag is stuffed with irresistible, original but accessible pop songs that establish her as an exciting, innovative new artist. Fighter is available to download at iTunes and stream across all platforms.

Today sees the release of Grammy nominated troubadours The Lumineers' festive single 'Blue Christmas', available on all major platforms via Decca Records. The rework of the Elvis Presley festive classic sees the band in true holiday form, crafting their own sweetly-tinged yet distinctive take on one of the holiday's most endearing anthems. You can listen HERE.

Last night saw The Lumineers perform 'Blue Christmas' while partaking in one of the most exciting events of the holiday season, the prestigious 94th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in President's Park (White House). This notorious American Holiday tradition took place on the Ellipse at President's Park and saw the band amongst other notable performers such as Garth Brooks and Chance the Rapper. You can visit www.thenationaltree.org for more information about the event and its history. The event follows the band being personally invited by President Obama to perform at the White House for this year's South by South Lawn festival in the summer.

Due to overwhelming demand The Lumineers have announced a second show at legendary New York venue Madison Square Garden, selling out tickets for the February 2nd show in mere hours. Renowned for their impressive live show, The Lumineers recently wrapped their second sold-out UK headline tour of the year to huge critical acclaim, with Evening Standard (4*) stating ""The Lumineers rootsy rock was endlessly entertaining, as each member demonstrated an impressive versatility" and The Times (4*) highlighting the fact "[Lead singer] Schultz shone and his band played out of their skins to keep up his momentum".

Multi-talented, award-winning artist, actress and activist Kate Nash has released a brand new track and official video titled “My Little Alien.”

Shot in the Californian desert and staring her very own pet pooch Stella, “My Little Alien” is a loving tribute to her rescued “fur-baby” and as the holiday season approaches, comes with a friendly reminder to “adopt not shop” when it comes to rescuing a four legged friend.

"My Little Alien" was written after a trip to Rachel, Nevada, where I saw a UFO for the first time.”
Explains Nash. “I took my rescue pup on the trip and I realized she is my best friend and although I have never met an alien she is like my little alien in a way. When I rescued her from a man in a coffee shop who wanted 20 bucks to get off drugs, she saved me at a time when I needed it most. Sometimes it feels like we're both from another planet. This song is about loving the strange.”

On the video, directed by Tyler Monsein, Nash continues. “We wanted to recreate the feeling of being the nomads that we are. Neither of us quite fit into the boxes we should but when we are together it makes sense. So we got back on the road in a vintage Chinook and drove to Area 51!'” Watch the official video for “My Little Alien” here and listen to the track on iTunes and Spotify from today.

In other news, Kate Nash has been confirmed to play Rhonda is the upcoming Netflix Original series “G.L.O.W.” Produced by award winning Jenji Kohan (Weeds, Orange is the new Black), “G.L.O.W” (aka Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was created by Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange Is The New Black) and is a 10-episode comedy inspired by the real story of the 1980's female wrestling league.

Amongst filming her Netflix Original debut in Los Angeles Kate Nash is also busy working on new music, set for release in 2017.
