Swedish pop star Tove Styrke returns with her new single 'Say My Name'

Swedish pop star Tove Styrke is back and it’s all about getting close (with no clothes) on her forthcoming new single "Say My Name", release April 28th. Almost two years has passed since her album “Kiddo” was released in June 2015 - highly acclaimed by critics and celebrated by fans. This time around Tove Styrke turns her gaze inwards: it’s soft with a whispering, gentle, yet strong voice. "Say My Name" is about wanting to be with a person and that nothing else matters.

Co-written and produced by fellow Swede Elof Loelv who co-produced Rihanna’s track ”Stay" feat. Mikky Ekko and has also worked with acts like Zara Larsson and Icona Pop.

“There's a reason why so much music is about sex and love” says Tove Styrke. ”it is linked to one's worst and best experiences. I have not written about love before because I didn’t want to write another love song. But I have changed. I am tired of being angry, right now I just need to make music that makes me feel good”

”The stronger I sing, the less I can affect the song. The more quiet I sing, the greater the differences will be in the tone and texture. A lot of people are afraid to talk loudly, but there is a strength to talking quietly - people really have to listen to you. There’s no need to try to be a man in a man’s world.”

"Say My Name" (Sony Music / RCA) will be released on April 28th.

Actress and singer Lea Michele will play a one off show at Shoreditch Town Hall, London on Friday 21st April

The intimate show will see her preview tracks from her new album ‘Places’ which is out 28th April. Tickets can be purchased here: http://leamichele.com/2017

Lea has also launched the preorder for the 11 track album, which features the previously released “Love Is Alive” and her powerful new song “Anything’s Possible,” which USA TODAY says is an “anthem that’s ready to inspire.” Lea recently performed “Love Is Alive” on The Late Late Show with James Corden and also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“When it came time to name my album, I settled on ‘Places’ because this album for me represents a return to form, a return to the stage, and a return to the place I belong,” Lea says. “When you perform on Broadway the word “Places” is the last thing you hear over the loudspeaker before a show is about to begin. “Places” I thought was the perfect title for this music and how it reflects who I am as an artist today and where I come from.”

In 2009 Lea Michele debuted in her role as perfectionist firecracker “Rachel Berry” on Ryan Murphy’s critically acclaimed, Golden Globe- and SAG Award-winning series, “Glee.” In 2010, Michele was honoured with an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Actress – Comedy. That same year, the “Glee” cast won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, among other awards.

She can currently be seen on Fox as Hester in the dark Ryan Murphy comedy “Scream Queens.” She also received raved reviews for her stage performance in the role of “Wendla” for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of “Spring Awakening,” which earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. While appearing on television and stage, Michele’s love for music has been a focus point in her career. In March of 2014, she released her album, “Louder,” which debuted at No. 1 on iTunes and in the Top 5 on Billboard charts. Her follow up album “Places” will be available April 28th.

BUY 'CRAZY CRAZY'

Japanese super-producer Yasutaka Nakata today unveils his new single 'Crazy Crazy' featuring j-pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and multi-million selling British pop star Charli XCX. The track is accompanied by visuals directed by Kazuaki Seki, now available to watch on YouTube and stream on all partners.

Kazuaki Seki, the genius director behind OK Go's iconic video for 'I Won't Let You Down' supplies hypercolour visuals for 'Crazy Crazy' that see Kyary, Charli and Nakata face-swapped into the fray for a lip-sync party. The track is a typically high energy, sugar-sweet pop single and is Nakata's latest solo effort. Yasutaka Nakata is best known for his production on global hits by j-pop queen Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, j-pop supergroup Perfume and co-founding the Japanese electro unit Capsule. Nakata's productions have gone on to win awards and sell millions worldwide.

Following her latest single 'After The Afterparty' and previous collaborations with PC Music associated artists, Charli XCX's fascination with the genre lead to her first foray into j-pop. Worldwide, Charli has sold 33 million singles and 1 million albums. "I'm definitely a fan of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's music, her style, her art. I think she's a really incredible artist" said Charli of her co-star. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's history as a genre-defining artist, model and vocalist puts her at the centre of the Japanese fashion and music industries, recently celebrating the fifth anniversary of her debut release with a sell-out world tour and greatest hits compilation '5 Years Monster'.
