Mallory Knox are back with a brand new single ‘Sugar’ to fuel your summer. Full to the brim with the band’s signature driving hooks and the epitome of a sing-along chorus, ‘Sugar’’s themes are in fact quite bleak. Bassist and songwriter Sam Douglas explains that it’s a song “about feeling completely isolated and alone in a world where it feels like everyone has someone to lean on except you. You’re driven to a point of desperation, which makes you feel that having someone for a very short period of time (i.e.. a one night stand) is better than having no one at all.” The track heralds the band’s forthcoming performances at Reading & Leeds Festivals at the end of this month. Mallory Knox will solidify their status as a main stage force to be reckoned with, playing alongside a main stage line-up that includes Jimmy Eat World, Bastille and Kasabian at Reading on Friday 25th Aug and Leeds on Saturday 26th Aug. Mallory Knox released their latest album ‘Wired’ mere months ago and it broke into the Top 20 of the UK Album Charts, as did its predecessor ‘Asymmetry’. ‘Wired’, is amongst the most hard-hitting, melodically euphoric, outspoken and open-hearted albums in modern rock and ‘Sugar’ sees the band soar yet further. https://www.facebook.com/malloryknoxuk/ https://twitter.com/MalloryKnoxband https://www.instagram.com/malloryknoxband

Today sees Jamiroquai release the Charlie Lightening-directed video for their infectious new single "Superfresh," the second official single from eighth studio album 'Automaton'. You can watch itHERE Written and self-produced by frontman Jay Kay and Jamiroquai keyboard-maestro Matt Johnson, the disco-drenched summer anthem marks the band's first single since the album landed at #No.1 on iTunes in 38 countries across the world and top three in 5 earlier this year. Inspired by the visual themes behind Automaton and how we as humans interact with the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today, 'Superfresh' perfectly marries electronic music with bass-heavy classic soul to create the English outfit's groundbreaking sound. It's been an incredible return for the band since the release of 'Automaton', their first record in over nine years, on March 31st. In addition to the album's incredible chart success, the band have sold out their first live dates in over seven years within thirty seconds, have trended globally on each announcement and received massive support at UK radio, including #26 on airplay charts and are #1 on iTunes Pre-Orders. Driven with the band’s signature, unique blend of spiralling synth melodies, walls of guitar and evocative vocals, the new songs range from dark, aggressive anthems to danceable, pretty pop and hit all the bases that audiences have come to expect. However, there is also a rawness to the emotion being expressed, an openness and vulnerability that feels new. One thing that is clearer than ever, however, is the tight bond that exists between the band members and their willingness to explore heartbreak and loss together. With these songs, they have entered the darkness of their most fragile emotions and returned with a cohesive and detailed musical portrait that captures both the anger and hope that exist within a moment in time. The Birthday Massacre continue to make music that is so very unique to them. Once again, they have managed to create an album that somehow feels so familiar, yet challenges the listener to continue alongside them on their ever-changing, ever-growing journey. The Birthday Massacre have made a second song from their upcoming new album available to hear:- New song ‘One’ available now via this link : http://bit.ly/2pWPM4D The Birthday Massacre chose the colour violet for all their subsequent artwork (after their 'Violet' EP), stating that “Violet is the colour of the tragic comedy. We associate it with fantasy and melancholy. These themes make up much of the band’s lyrical inspiration. The colour also mirrors our sound dynamic. Our music mixes contrasting elements. In turn, violet is the sum of two contrasting colours: Red and Blue.” thebirthdaymassacre.com https://www.facebook.com/TheBirthdayMassacre/ Ghost Toast released a first single "Gordius" from their upcoming third album "Out Of This World". The album is released June 7th 2017 via Inverse Records. Listen to the single on Spotify: http://spoti.fi/2q7ORlt and check their music video out from here: http://bit.ly/2qaDpni Ghost Toast is an instrumental, experimental progressive rock band from Debrecen, Hungary, formed in 2008. They love heavy, trippy music and film scores as well, so they use these elements to create their own music. With their 3rd album, the band used elements of heavy prog rock, world music, folk, and electronic music. The songs on are connected by a loose concept - a connection between fantasy and some mythological themes (influenced by the Dark Tower saga by Stephen King, Dune by Frank Herbert, I am legend by Richard Matheson, Greek mythology, etc.). The band names following artists as their influencers Tool, Faith No More, Mastodon, Crippled Black Phoenix, Ulver, Special Providence, Oceansize, Jaga Jazzist, Shpongle, Orbital, Ott, Plaid, Future Sound Of London, various film score composers (like Ennio Morricone, Jeremy Soule). So this tells that it is quite impossible to describe their music, you'll need to experience it by yourself!
