Showcasing the finest up-and-coming talent, including:
Revoker, The Dirty Youth & Sons of Icarus.

'Family friendly affordable festival in the heart of the South Wales valleys
'

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event - which featured The Quireboys, Tigertailz and The Blackspiders amongst others - the organisers promised that this year would be bigger and better.

This year’s festival will take place over 3 days - 27th, 28th and 29th July - and it is again set at the spectacular mountain top location of Hafod-y-Dafal Farm, near Ebbw Vale in Gwent.

The festival site received rave reviews last year for its magnificent panoramic views, and has now  been officially recognised as the UK’s highest music festival further adding to the uniqueness of the Steelhouse Festival.

Limeface, the Festival organisers are expecting over 3,000 music fans to descend on the area at the end of July, making it one of the largest single events in the history of the area and position Wales alongside some of the best European rock festivals.

Feeder, featuring singer/guitarist Grant Nicholas and bassist Taka Hirose are confirmed as the headliner on the Saturday night of this year’s festival. With 25 hit singles and over 5 million record sales under their belt, this summer will see them performing tracks from their new album “Generation Freakshow’ released on 23rd April, along with classic hit singles, including ‘Feeling the Moment’, ‘Buck Rogers’,  ‘Come Back Around’, ‘Renegades’ and ‘Just A Day’.

With 8 top 20 singles including ‘Place Your Hands’, ‘Come Back Brighter’, ‘Naked’ and ‘Yer Old’. A number 1 album with the 1997 release ‘Glow” and over 10 million album sales, REEF were the perfect choice to headline the Sunday night and close the show at this year’s Steelhouse Festival. The band fronted by west country vocalist Gary Stringer, reformed in 2009 have since played Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight Festival and Wembley Stadium.

This year’s extended festival will feature an additional full day of top quality rock acts, featuring Northern Ireland’s finest, The Answer as special guests on the Sunday night.  Saturday’s special guest will be festival favourites Gun, whose new album ‘Break The Silence’ is released 6th July.

The Steelhouse places a high priority on showcasing and developing young talent. This year’s festival will feature some of the best up-and-coming rock bands.

Revoker, who have already graced the stages of Download and Hammerfest will get the opportunity to rock the valleys and bring their brand of ‘thrash riffsand infectious timeless choruses’ to the rock starved masses of South Wales.

The Dirty Youth, featuring vocalist Danni Monroe - who featured on ‘world rock chicks - live’ in New York - have toured extensively throughout Europe, most recently with rock giants KORN. They’ll return to Wales to play their mammouth new single ‘Fight’ which has been featured heavily on KERRANG & SCUZZ TV.

Other confirmed bands include: Saint Jude, The Union, Million $ Reload, Bonafide, Prosperina, Henry’s Funeral Shoe, Gentlemen’s Pistols, Hangfire and Marshall Amps ‘Ultimate Band Contest;’ winners Sons of Icarus.

The festival will also see the return of the extremely popular Friday night tribute party. Joining Europe’s longest running tribute to KISS, Dressed to Kill and the amazing tribute to Thin Lizzy, Dizzy Lizzy,
Guns 2 Roses the UK’s official Guns ‘n’ Roses tribute act will burst on to the stage bringing us hit after hit from one of the world’s biggest bands.

The intention is to continue the family friendly theme of last year’s  event by again making the event free to children of 14 and under as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The event organisers have continued their commitment to providing the ‘best value’ festival. The full weekend tickets have been set at £55, placing the Steelhouse Festival as one of the most affordable 3 day camping festivals in the UK.
