On January 1, 2016 Kult Ov Azazel revealed a new pre-production demo track of “Corpus Edimus, Sanguinem Bibimus” on their Facebook page. The pre-pro demo track featured a guest solo by Phil Fasciana of Malevolent Creation. At this time, the band has half of the album recorded as a pre-production demo and continues to forge forward with the pre-production recordings. “Violators of the Covenant” will be the first album recorded with the new line-up and will be the first recording appearances of Hag (vocals), Necrol (guitar), Armanen (bass), along with long-time members Xaphan (guitar/vocals) and Hammer (drums). The album will be recorded and produced by the band at S.B.S. Studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will include ten tracks. More information will be revealed shortly.
Beginning July 16, music fans can experience the final performance from iconic rock band Mötley Crüe during a month-long online run of “Mötley Crüe: The End.” The once-in-a-lifetime event – held at the sold-out Staples Center in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve 2015.
Fans around the world will be able to catch all the action from Mötley Crüe’s final show via a digital PPV stream of “Mötley Crüe: The End” at http://motley.com/. In addition to the live show fans will also be treated to behind-the-scenes footage of the band’s final performance night. Relive the legendary rock icons final show online beginning July 16th at http://motley.com/
Completing their 35-year touring career as a band, this epic concert viewing experience gives Mötley Crüe’s fans a chance to relive mega-hits such as “Kickstart My Heart,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “Home Sweet Home” and “Dr. Feelgood.” In January, 2014, Mötley Crüe held a press conference announcing their Final Tour, complete with a “cessation of touring” agreement signed by all members prohibiting any and all future live engagements under the Mötley Crüe name. Mötley Crüe’s two-year concert trek saw the band — Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitars), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums) — perform across five continents (North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia) for a total of more than 164 shows in 72 markets grossing over $100 million.
Known for their over-the-top production, Mötley Crüe did not disappoint for their last show ever on New Year’s Eve: from massive, cutting-edge pyro, including Nikki Sixx’s bass guitar spitting fire over 30 ft. into the air, and Tommy Lee’s “Crüecifly” drum roller coaster, amongst many other spectacular elements. Lead singer, Vince Neil, delivered an emotional “thank you” speech to the audience, while the band supplied next-level, high-octane fueled energy, ringing in the New Year on stage with thousands of balloons raining down on the crowd. The grand finale of the show included a blow-out performance of their hit single, “Kickstart My Heart” with Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil floating above the audience in far-reaching “cherry-pickers.” Leaving fans in tears, the show concluded with an emotional encore rendition of “Home Sweet Home” from the second stage riser in the center of the audience.
“Mötley Crüe: The End” was produced by Nate Parienti and Live Alliance, directed by Christian Lamb with Jeff Tremaine, creator of the “Jackass”series, directing the documentary segment. For more information about the band visit www.motley.com.
Drowning Pool set to perform with 82-Year-Old America's Got Talent contestant John Hetlinger at Chicago Open Air
Multi-platinum hard rock band and Chicago Open Air performers Drowning Pool recently surged to viral status after 82-year-old Navy veteran and aerospace manager John Hetlinger performed his favourite karaoke track - Drowning Pool's hit song "Bodies" - on the popular NBC competition show America's Got Talent, surprising and charming viewers everywhere. Video of the performance instantly went viral, with over 7 million views in the first two weeks... and counting.
Shortly after the outpouring of attention, Drowning Pool guitarist CJ Pierce sat down for a chat with Entertainment Weekly, inviting Hetlinger to perform with them during their upcoming set at Chicago Open Air. Hetlinger replied on Twitter accepting the invitation, and the rest is history!
Hetlinger will join Drowning Pool onstage at Chicago Open Air during their 2:00pm set on Friday the 15th.
Chicago Open Air is a three-day music, craft beer and Gourmet Man Food festival being held July 15, 16 and 17 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, just outside Chicago. Other performers for America's biggest metal festival include headliners Rammstein, Disturbed and Slipknot, with additional performances from Chevelle, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Ministry, Breaking Benjamin, Marilyn Manson, Of Mice & Men and many more. For more information, visit www.ChicagoOpenAir.com. For tickets, please visit this location.
John Hetlinger states, "I am really amped-up to see y'all when Drowning Pool and I join you in Chicago this Friday afternoon for the Chicago Open Air festival. We are going to have a blast together - let the bodies hit the floor!"
It's no secret that Drowning Pool support our troops and veterans in a big way, so not only is the band proud to perform with a fan of the band, they're honoured to perform with an American hero as well.
"It's been an honor for us to play for our military every chance we've had," says Drowning Pool drummer Mike Luce. "On rare occasions, servicemen have joined us onstage here and there, but one thing's for sure - we've never shared the stage with an 82-year-old Navy veteran / aerospace manager crushing "Bodies". It's gonna be crazy throwing down with him! We can't wait to see everyone at Chicago Open Air!"
Drowning Pool has volunteered with the USO for 11 years and has incredibly strong family ties to the military. Guitarist C.J. Pierce's father-in-law also served in the Navy, bassist Stevie Benton's father is a Vietnam veteran and drummer Mike Luce's brother currently serves. As a result of those personal connections, the band has entertained more than 22,000 service members on 14 military bases in five countries, to date. Drowning Pool has travelled with the USO to the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Iraq and Kuwait.

Tim Commerford's new politically-charged punk rock trio Wakrat (pronounced wôk•rat) will make their UK live debut on Tuesday, July 26th in a one-night-only appearance at The Black Heart in Camden with all proceeds from the gig going towards the homeless charity Shelter.
Notorious for his infamous bass lines in Rage Against The Machine, Commerford fronts Wakrat on vocals and bass over a tight mix of punchy, rhythmic and dynamic punk rock, fuelled by political dissent, social commentary and an undiminished subversion and questioning of authority.
Commerford said: "We are gearing up to be on the offensive. Our mission is to attack modern music and smash the grid. Unapologetic, unrelenting, unbridled and uncensored. Understood?"
In 2010, Rage Against The Machine donated all the proceeds from the Christmas #1 single to Shelter after Jon and Tracy Morter's Facebook campaign launched "Killing in the Name" to the #1 spot - toppling Simon Cowell and the X-Factor monopoly. Wakrat will open the 27-date #MakeAmericaRageAgain tour with Tim's other band, Prophets Of Rage, later this summer, meaning that Commerford will be pulling double duty. Prophets Of Rage have also promised to gatecrash the Republican Party Convention on July 19th to protest at Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump. Wakrat, signed to UK-based Earache Records, will release their debut album on November 8th to coincide with the US election.
Tickets for the gig on Tuesday, July 26th at The Black Heart in Camden are priced at £10 and will go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday, July 12th) at 10am from https://dice.fm/event/wakrat-26th-jul-the-black-heart-london-tickets

In this guise she was depicted pointing at a celestial globe with a rod.

Finnish melodic deathsters Insomnium have announced a European tour for early 2017 to support their forthcoming release 'Winter’s Gate' - a concept album that is made of one epic 40 minute song, which they are going to play in its entirety on this tour!
Frontman Niilo Sevänen comments: ”We are very excited to get back on the road again! Last autumn a serious illness in my family forced us to make some drastic decisions and for example cancel one tour altogether. Since then things have progressed very well and steadily so everything looks a lot better at the moment. We’ve only made festivals and short trips this year but in 2017 we’ll be back on making longer tours all over the world.
The forthcoming Winter’s Gate album has been mixed by Dan Swanö and it sounds amazing. Playing this 40 minute monster song will be an interesting challenge in a live situation but we can’t wait to do this! This European tour in January will be a rare opportunity for our fans to hear the whole epic song live, so it will be a very special show every night.”
The new album will be released via Century Media Records on September 23rd, 2016. It is built around the short story 'Winter’s Gate' (Talven portti in Finnish) by vocalist & bassist Niilo Sevänen, which won awards and nominations in Finland back in 2007 and 2008. It’s a story about a group of Vikings who set out to find a fabled island west from Ireland, even though the winter is drawing near.
