Lovebites will unleash the sophomore full-length album called "Clockwork Immortality" on the 7th of December 2018.

The band consists of Asami (vocals), Miho (bass), Haruna (drums), Midori (guitars) and Miyako (guitars/keyboard). The Lovebites sound owes a debt to the many great overseas heavy metal bands that have directly influenced their writing. Coupled with their own unique take on music, taking a piece from each member’s eclectic background and experiences, everything has culminated into forging a truly formidable group.

Their first European tour, including stops in the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK starts on the 13th of November this year!

Lovebites European & UK tour:

13.11.  NL  Haarlem - Patronaat
14.11.  D    Essen - Zeche Carl
16.11.  D    Hamburg - Logo
19.11.  D    Aschaffenburg - Colos-Saal
20.11  FR   Paris - Nouveau Casino
21.11. UK   London - O2 Academy Islington

Lovebites started working on their first EP at the end of 2016, joined by the amazing engineering team of Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila from Finland who are known for their work with Nightwish, Children of Bodom and Amorphis to name but a few. The Lovebites EP was the end product of those sessions, which was released in mid-2017. In October 2017 they released their first full album, "Awakening From Abyss". In the aftermath of the release of "Awakening From Abyss" in October 2017 through Europe and North America; Asami, Haruna, Midori, Miho and Miyako performed their first overseas live shows in London.

On the heels of this success, in June 2018 the all-female band won the Best New Band award at the Golden Gods Awards held by the UK music magazine Metal Hammer, being the very first Japanese band to pull this off.

Lovebites released their second mini album "Battle Against Damnation" that same month, taking it on the road with them to the world’s biggest metal festival Wacken Open Air in Germany, where they drove a crowd of over 10,000 people into frenzy before appearing on the main stage at the UK’s Bloodstock Open Air headlined by Judas Priest.

Lovebites are:

Asami | vocals
Midori | guitars
Miyako | guitars
Miho | bass
Haruna | drums

Mixing raucous comedy with borderline-horrific theatrics, the only thing more petrifying than impending health problems resulting from years of overeating is a Mac Sabbath show. Show attendees should be prepared to partake in the fun - Mac Sabbath puts on a theatrical, multimedia stage show - complete with a smoking grill, laser-eyed clowns, bouncing burgers and many more magical surprises... basically anything and everything an unwary show-goer could ever want in their wildest dreams. Named by Buzzfeed as one of the "13 Metal Bands You Didn't Know How to React To" + Named as LA's "Best Tribute Band" by LA Weekly.

The Danish heavy scene is on fire these days. The small country best know for H.C. Andersen, Volbeat and beating Germany at the 92' European championship, are experiencing a boost of talent not seen since the hay days of 2003-2006 with Hatesphere, Raunchy, Mnemic and more.

This is your chance to get on board the new wave of Danish hard rock & metal. This all Danish package includes:

  • Defecto who have supported Rammstein and Metallica in 2017 and currently heaped as one of the most popular heavy bands in Denmark.

  • Helhorse who have been touring Europe immensely and supporting the likes of Slayer, AC/DC, and Phil Campbell.

  • Not to forget Siamese the award winning hard rockers which just recently hit over 4 million streams for their latest album Shameless.

  • Finally we have the young guns Aphyxion who still today hold the record for being the youngest band ever to play Wacken Open Air and Copenhell at the age of 16.

Come and see what Denmark is up to these days. You will not regret it.

The three-day festival takes place 8 – 10 June 2018 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire. Tickets available now at downloadfestival.co.uk/tickets.

No stranger to the hallowed grounds of Donington, The Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne will headline the Sunday night. Having previously graced the main stage in previous years fronting Black Sabbath, this will be his first ever Download headline solo appearance. The Download Festival set comes as part of Ozzy Osbourne’s final  world tour announcement this morning.

Download Festival’s promoter, Andy Copping says:

“We’re unbelievably excited to have Ozzy as one of the headliners next year. Already hailing from the Midlands, Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to Download, and after Black Sabbath closed the festival in 2016, how could I not ask The Prince of Darkness to come back all on his own? The Download family are without a shadow of a doubt, in for a treat.”

Download Festival is the home of rock music and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which have been associated with rock since the eighties. The festival attracts icons of rock and metal to its main stage, plus some of the hottest new acts in the world. AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park and many more have all headlined its main stage and in 2018, fans can see the Miracle Man, Ozzy Osbourne.

Bloodstock is excited to announce their third and final headliner for 2018 will be Judas Priest! The metal icons are one of the most-requested bands by the festival’s loyal fan base and finally make their Bloodstock debut at Catton Park in 2018 on Friday night, 10th August.

The legendary band tell us, “Judas Priest are thrilled, honoured and primed, ready to unleash Priest-style metal fury into the headbanging heart and home of heavy metal at Bloodstock 2018!”

With Saturday night headliners, Gojira and Sunday headliners, Nightwish already announced for next year's event, 2018 is shaping up to be another stellar year for Bloodstock.

Before we focus more on 2018, we’re very proud to reveal that Bloodstock raised £11,686.88 in 2017 for the very worthy Teenage Cancer Trust, bringing the total to over £60,000 since our partnership began. A giant thanks to everyone who has contributed over the years for their generous donations!

Get tickets now for 2018! The first wave of Serpents Lair VIP tickets (priced at £290) and Deluxe VIP packages (Luxpads, Bellepads, Podpads, etc) are available now for those who want their VIP spot guaranteed. A smaller second wave and a limited amount of VIP upgrades will then become available on 16th December at 9am. Don't delay if you want to join us in the VIP Serpents Lair, as they’re moving faster than ever before!

Standard weekend tickets are currently available at ‘early bird’ prices (just £125 for four days of metal fun) so grab yours now at the ticket store if you want to save £20! In order to keep up with inflation and extra costs in 2018, standard weekend tickets with camping will increase from last year's £139 to £145 once the ‘early bird’ allocation is gone. The limited allocation of VIP upgrades (for those who've bought early bird tickets) will cost £145.

Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 9th-12th August 2018. Get further information over at www.bloodstock.uk.com.
