 Germany-based Modern Metallers One More Word have signed with Boersma-Records. The new full-length album "Wheel Of Suffering" will be released on 15.05.2020 and will contain eleven new songs. One More Word was founded in 2016 and after the release of a first music video for the single "Effectus Pavonis" (feat. Daniel Bernath of Syquem / The Delta Mode) in June 2017, the guys quickly made a name for themselves. The debut EP followed in August 2017 via SwellCreek Records. The feedback was excellent and the band started to work on the successor. The result is "Wheel Of Suffering", which shows the band matured further and full of fresh ideas. Dark Poetry emerged from the underground of Cyprus in 2002 and since its inception, the band was dedicated in composing original music influenced by all aspects of being, through the essence of Middle Eastern sounds. From Reservoirs of Darkness and Neon Lit Nightmares rises Finnish five-piece LAMORI. Their sound is defined by uniting Gothic Metal with Dark Wave, Modern Rock and everything in between. Lyrics inspired by cult horror movie maestros and old romanticism furthermore finalize their macabre elegance. The band roots back to 2006. Singer Matias Juselius and guitarist Marcus Pellas had ideas about starting a gothic rock band in their home town of Mariehamn, on The Åland Islands. Jens Wickholm soon joined the duo, followed by Mikael Westerlund on bass. An acoustic live performance was held under the name L'Amori Acoustica. After a fruitless search for a drummer the band was put on ice for nearly two years. The group got together and started rehearsing again in late 2008, still searching for a drummer. Emanuel Sanchez stepped in and joined the group in early 2009. The band was now officially formed. Together they did their first live performance some months later. The constellation has remained the same until this day. Under the name L’Amori (later to be changed to LAMORI), the band recorded their first four track Demo EP in 2011, titled The Reservoirs of Darkness. Their first full-length album Deadly Desires was self-released some years later in 2013. A year after the release of Deadly Desires the band penned a record deal with Italian label Wormholedeath. Their first major album To Die Once Again was released through the label in 2016. It was at this time the band changed the name from L'Amori to the more straightforward LAMORI. The following years the band toured in Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania and also started working on a new album. The recordings of Neo Noir began in the summer 2018 at Mathlab Studios in Italy, with producers Carlo Belotti and Jonathan Mazzeo. Canadian quintet As The Structure Fails turn the cornfield into a moshpit in their latest music video for their new single "The Surface." Led by dual vocalists and brothers Kyle and Carter Laird, the technical and melodic track delivers a certain level of chaos to compliment the lightheartedness of the video. "We decided to take a jump outside the standard heavy music videos we tend to see, to create something outside of the box," says vocalist Kyle Laird. "We feel like this video truly is one-of-a-kind, reflecting our own lives of living in small towns and working on farms. We hope people see the humour in it." The band barely got off the ground before drummer Kyle Clarke underwent multiple brain surgeries for a life-threatening diagnosis called Arteriovenous Malformation. Luckily, he made a full recovery and the group released their self-titled full-length in 2018. Topics of the album focus on damaged relationships, addiction, and the immoral habits of our culture. The band brings forward the idea that society, although corrupt, can change. They believe one person or one action everyday has the potential to bring a light into this sometimes dark world. We chose to incorporate ropes in the titles because in these situations they can be a mean of help to climb out of the darkness or a means of suicide; we leave it up to the listener‘s imagination.
