"Cleopatra", the epic second album from New Jersey symphonic metal quintet, Everdawn, is out now through progressive metal powerhouse Sensory Records. Formerly known as Midnight Eternal, Everdawn is embodied by lead vocalist Alina Gavrilenko, guitarist / vocalist Richard Fischer, bassist Mike LePond (Symphony X), drummer Dan Prestup and keyboardist Boris Zaks. Through the course of eleven epic new songs, the band delivers forty-eight minutes of epic, progressive, symphonic metal on Cleopatra. The vocals for "Cleopatra" were recorded at Soundmine Recording, the guitars recorded at Frightbox Recording with engineer Bobby Torres, the bass, drums, and keyboards recorded at RMF Recording Studios, and the bass engineered by Richard Fischer and additional editing by Bobby Torres. The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound (Opeth, Riverside, Katatonia) and completed with cover artwork by Gyula Havancsák of Hjules Illustration and Design and photography by Alexandra Hassan and Northern Luna. Additionally, the song "Your Majesty Sadness" features guest vocals from Therion / Candlemass vocalist Thomas Vikström. Everdawn keyboardist Boris Zaks offers on Cleopatra: "In times of uncertainty we all search for the little things that we can rely on - on the little moments that do offer us security, comfort and strength. Music, in its encapsulating and deeply moving way, has always been a haven for those who wish to put melody behind what they feel. And this has been a year of feeling. We at Everdawn have been relentlessly at work, crafting Cleopatra and shaping it up to perfection. Our intent was to let Cleopatra speak to the audience and blend with the world around us as well as its history, in the most fragile of times." Italian symphonic metallers Astralium have announced their brand new, revamped line up featuring a new drummer and guitarist Singer Roberta Pappalardo states: "With great pleasure we are announcing the new members who have joined Astralium, drummer Corrado Geniale (ex-Tamed Darts, ex-Astralium) and our second guitarist Antonello Giliberto. At the same time we sincerely thank the drummer and composer Salvo Grasso (Metatrone, Hypersonic) for both the huge contribution given to the band in terms of composition and arrangement of half of the songs included on our debut album "Land of Eternal Dreams", and for the unforgettable years spent together. Thank you Salvo and welcome Corrado and Antonello! Moreover we are already starting to compose the songs for the second album. Stay tuned!" Astralium will be a part of the World Of Metal Online Festival on Saturday, February 6th, 2021! - 9pm (London Time) : https://www.facebook.com/worldofmetalonlinefestival ASTRALIUM - 2021 Line Up Roberta Pappalardo - Vocals Emanuele Alessandro - Guitars Antonello Gilberto - Guitars Giuseppe Pappalardo - Bass Corrado Geniale - Drums www.rockshots.eu www.facebook.com/astraliumband www.instagram.com/astralium_metalband Skindred have revealed a brand new lyric video for ‘It’s A Crime’, a rare cut from the Japanese version of Roots Rock Riot. Thirteen years after its release, Skindred are re-releasing the record, making the track available outside of Japan for the first time. The album will be available on April 23rd and can be pre-ordered here. Drummer Arya Goggin recalls: “‘It’s a Crime’ was written in 2006 in our basement studio below St Joseph’s Boxing club in Newport. It’s where all the writing for Roots Rock Riot took place. The only reason it didn’t make the album was because of how the album track listing flowed. We were so happy with how the album progressed from the opening of chaos of 'Roots Rock Riot' to the epic ending of 'Choices And Decisions' we didn’t want to crowbar another song in needlessly. It was a hard decision to leave it out but we are so happy it’s being included in the re-release. It was always a band and producer favourite.” Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Benji Webbe explains: “I live in a neighbourhood (Newport, Wales) where back in the day, a lot of people were working hard and getting ripped off in life and then there are others who are just hustling and selling this and selling that. It’s just a crime that hard-working people don’t get what the thieves / criminals get.” Crafted in a boxing club, recorded in America and laying the groundwork for everything that followed it, Roots Rock Riot is an important piece of Skindred’s history – a piece that this re-release celebrates. The first record of their discography to feature what would become the permanent line-up of Benji, Arya, bassist Daniel Pugsley and guitarist Mikey Demus, it started its life as that difficult second album. What it became completely transcends that, bookending a difficult period of the band’s existence and boldly kicking down the door to the future of their illustrious career. Benji remembers delivering the vocals with the same passion he employs in front of a festival crowd, and recalls: “I’m not one of those people who cheers when they’ve finished a record. But I’m always thankful to get to make my art, blending contemporary British music and Jamaican music, with my friends. On Roots Rock Riot I think we did that excellently.” Mikey (guitars) meanwhile sees this re-release as an opportunity to examine how he and his band have come on in the years since: “I’m really proud of the record. I had a hell of a lot of fun making it and it features some really important Skindred tracks.” Producer Matt Squire (Panic At The Disco / Neck Deep) brought the whole album to life and realises its importance in cementing Skindred as one of the most important bands in the British heavy rock scene, he explains: “Longevity is all about being real. Times were changing when the album was made, and if the band hadn’t been real in what they did they might have been passed off as a metal band with an innovative singer. Roots Rock Riot presented Skindred as a band with amazing songs. Those songs are made up of a crazy amalgamation of sounds, while remaining absolutely undeniable.” Available on vinyl for the first time as well as CD, the re-release of Roots Rock Riot features rare cuts and previously unheard music. As well as the complete tracklist of the original, the vinyl version of the record comes with an additional 7” containing two exclusive tracks: the aforementioned ‘It’s A Crime’ and ‘Struggle’, which was never released. The CD release also contains both those tracks and an acoustic version of ‘Destroy The Dance Floor’. If that’s not enough, the re-release is also accompanied by some exclusive merchandise pre-order bundles. Available in the bundles are three 12” vinyl colour variants (Transparent Orange, Transparent Green and a special 3-colour Red, Yellow & Green), a t-shirt and a turntable slip-mat, both of which feature a classic design from the original Roots Rock Riot release. Pre-orders are available here. The re-release of Roots Rock Riot will arrive ahead of their full UK Showtime Tour in September, joined by very special guests Royal Republic. FOLLOW SKINDRED WEBSITE Since their formation in 2004, British thrash titans Evile have been turning heads and taking names, delivering four pure thrash offerings blended with an uncompromising death metal assault! Their upcoming fifth studio album, entitled Hell Unleashed, will impact the metal masses on April 30, 2021 via Napalm Records, and is the long-awaited successor to their 2013 release, Skull. Featuring the new exciting line-up formation of the talented Ol Drake on vocals/guitars and new member Adam Smith of RipTide as rhythm guitarist, Hell Unleashed is a raucous and masterful thrash metal attack! Ol Drake comments: "After a long eight years, Evile is finally coming back with our fifth studio album, 'Hell Unleashed' in April; a nine-track onslaught of unrelenting Thrash Metal. I have no qualms in saying that this is the best Thrash Metal album in at least the last 20 years. Those who haven't been keeping up with Evile may notice a change in vocals and vocalist. Matt left the band last year for health and personal reasons, and we decided it would be best to keep the new vocalist a familiar face within the band, so I stepped into the vocalist shoes, while remaining on lead guitar and I'm very happy and excited to do it - one of my heroes is Chuck Schuldiner, so it made sense to me; Evile needs to sound evil and vile, and we've achieved that more this time with a much more aggressive approach on 'Hell Unleashed.'" In celebration of their return and the announcement of Hell Unleashed, the band has just revealed a blistering music video for the album‘s title track! With double the amount of power, twice the speed, untamed brute and blazing riffs, “Hell Unleashed” will propel old and new fans to the status of eternal mayhem and thrash euphoria. Watch Evile‘s brand new clip right here: https://youtu.be/PZWPMwQJL60 Drake continues: "The title track 'Hell Unleashed' is the first single/video we're releasing, directed by James Mansell, who I previously worked with on some short films of his. We spoke for a while about maybe doing a music video for Evile and I'm so glad we did, as we're so happy with the result. We chose the title track as the first single as we wanted the first track you hear from us in so long to be a straight-to-the-point smack in the face and this definitely delivers. (**WARNING: The video contains flashing**)" On their forthcoming album, the newly staffed four-piece strikes again on nine explosive tracks, leaving nothing but a hammering world of sound taken apart by thrash. Endangering guitar lines, which quickly build up to a furious thrash manifesto and attack the eardrum at breakneck speed, meet the merciless velocity Evile are known and loved for. Hell Unleashed was produced by Chris Clancy at Backstage Studios, UK, and will not only feature some explosive guest backing vocals from American actor, musician and comedian Brian Posehn, who highlights the band‘s irrepressible, speeding energy on the track “Gore”, but the album will also include a cover song: Drake states: "This is the first album Evile have done to include a cover song in the tracklisting. I've been a big fan of death metal for a long time, and seeing as this album is on the more extreme side of Thrash vocally and musically, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to cover Mortician's 'Zombie Apocalypse'. It has one of the greatest riffs in it! We're also very excited about the return of the legendary Michael Whelan (Sepultura, Obituary, Stephen King) as cover artist. He did the art for our second album and he's always a pleasure to work with." Hell Unleashed will be available in LP Gatefold, CD Jewel Case and Digital formats. The limited 1LP Gatefold Deluxe Edition will also include an exclusive art-print and band logo patch! In just 41 minutes, Hell Unleashed unchains the unbridled forces of hell, catches some rousing demons of the past and provides classical thrash metal with a contemporary yet hard-edged touch. Evile are back – straight from the abyss! Evile is:

The follow-up to 2018's 'Vergelding' represents the final instalment of the V-Trilogy. The Monolith Deathcult comment: ‘Vernedering' is a blood-chilling super-spectacle and the ominous last sorry chapter in the once-proud franchise of the V-trilogy. Despite being nominated countless times for the honourable Covid-escape. The Monolith Deathcult stays relevant (as fuck) and reinvented itself musically countless times like the most advanced shape-shifter. V3 aka Vernedering is the soundtrack of The Great Rese(n)t and what we will built back better is a new artistic empire of shocking embarrassment. Our message is as blunt and brutal as a lead pipe: We, The Monolith Deathcult, are the new invincible gods and the best is yet to come.' The Monolith Deathcult are also releasing the official video for the track 'Gone Sour, Doomed', which can be viewed here. On 'Gone Sour, Doomed', the band comments:
"This is the fist in the face of those who thought we had become 'soft' and 'radio-friendly'. 'Gone Sour, Doomed’ is a ruthless blast beat salvo hounded by bitter gritty D-beats and an irresistible groove that will bring the juvenile arenas to a manic boiling scenery”. The album was mixed by Guido Aalbers (Giesound) and mastered by Pier Durk Hogeterp. The production was in the hands of The Monolith Deathcult and the cover artwork came courtesy of the band's own Carsten Altena. The Czech band joins the roster of Rock On Agency. The band, containing members of Icelandic label mates Helfró, will release their brand new album 'Desolate' via Season of Mist in the summer of 2021. Ophidian I comment on the signing: "We are ecstatic to announce that we’ve partnered with Season of Mist for the release of our album 'Desolate' in 2021. The new album is a product of relentless dedication and we could not imagine a more fitting home than with the incredible team at Season of Mist. Through the years we have been inspired by many artists from their roster and now we humbly take our place amongst them." Season of Mist CEO Michael Berberian comments on the signing: "It all started by a mail from an old partner in crime, known to many in the industry; Ula Gehret. I quote : “Am I nuts, or is this really good?” Two emails later: “I’ve really fallen for this album (it’s my new “Unquestionable Presence”)”. And my god, was he right. It’s my most played album of the last two months. There is something extra to this one, in my mind there is no doubt that this is a future classic. So a few weeks later, we signed the band, and he’s managing them. Two music industry veterans falling for an album like we were teens. We, at SOM were lucky to release with Archspire and Beyond Creation the two cornerstones of the last decade in the “Tech Death” world. Here is the first one of 2021." For a glimpse of things to come and updates, follow the band on Faceook. With a clear goal of reaching the apex of technical metal in terms of proficiency, arrangements and sound, Ophidian I has produced the destructive full-length album 'Desolate'. Emerging from Iceland; the barren island in the north, home to apocalyptic weather, eruptions and storms. The breeding intensity, blazing speed and ferocity of Ophidian I reflects the chaos it hails from as well as the inherent beauty and complex harmony. With various influences ranging from all styles, the unique melt of technical death metal - with immersive melody and hooks at every corner - 'Desolate' will appeal to all those who seek peak militant musicianship on all fronts.
