"Wrong Desire" deals with every common theme: the violence and abuse against women. The 9 tracks (plus a cover) making up the album, are snapshots that portray the important moments of a metaphorical journey of May, the fictional protagonist, to its rebirth. Tune up your ears for the first premiere, track-list and artwork out on May 26th! https://www.facebook.com/WAITHELLINPAIN www.waithellinpain.com https://www.facebook.com/revalverecords http://www.revalverecords.com On April 20th, Signal Rex - in conspiracy with Chaosphere Recordings, Larvae, Murder Records, Helldprod, Raging Planet, and Vomit Your Shirt - is proud to present the long-awaited debut album of Goldenpyre, In Eminent Disgrace. Web-portal NoCleanSinging.com is streaming the album in its entirety exclusively HERE. Goldenpyre was created in Barroselas, Portugal in 1997. Their first demo, Apocryphal, was released in 1998 and the second one, Necroterrorism, in 2001. Their first EP, Decrepidemic, was recorded in 2003, followed by the split CD Atrocities in 2005. In between the releases, Goldenpyre played about 100 shows and tours all around Europe with Suffocation, Behemoth, Nile, Destroyer 666, and various other bands. Their debut album was planned for 2009, but just few months after the recordings, new vocalist Jarder died and the band entered into a big hiatus. When the time was right, the songs started to take shape in the studio and the release was re-planned for 2017 at the 20th edition of SWR BARROSELAS METALFEST. Six of the best labels in Portugal joined their hands and prepared one of the most anticipated releases in a long time: mysteriously lumbering, suffocatingly dense death metal of total DREAD. This is Goldenpyre's In Eminent Disgrace. Now, in the lead-up to its release, stream the album in its entirety HERE. www.facebook.com/goldenpyre www.signalrex.com www.facebook.com/signalrex www.signalrex.bandcamp.com In anticipation of the release of their debut album, San Francisco-based black/death metal punks Succumb have premiered another brooding and punishing song off of the record, titled “Seedling,” which is streaming now courtesy of Terrorizer. Due out May 5th, Succumb was recorded by bay area luminary Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Botanist, Oathbreaker, etc.) and features seven tracks influenced by Canadian death metal, war metal, and 1990's Napalm Death. The band plumbs the depths of modern death metal with primitive elegance, but what sets Succumb apart from their peers is vocalist Cheri Musrasrik; the juxtaposition of death metal riffing and propulsive drums with her cavernous howl and sophisticated lyrics make for a unique listening experience. Musrasrik sites authors and poets like Yeats, Jean Genet and Emile Zola as her primary lyrical influences, and throughout Succumb she tackles themes such as human experimentation and dystopias with a literary flair. "Progressus In Idem" is the new single from Thessaloniki, Greece-based alternative / progressive metal act, Until Rain, the song hailing from the band's third album, Inure, which is approaching release through Sensory Records. They've been consistently playing shows in Japan and catching the attention of big name international touring acts. The band stands out with their combination of meaningful lyrics, incredible stage presence and musicianship. These elements are showcased in the new live video for "Dreamscape". Despite the language barriers, one might think there's a loss in translation, however the lyrics really do explain who the band is and what's important to them as they sing, 'We live on this planet, Forever will we. Don't destroy the only place to stay, There cannot be us anymore once it's broken'. When Tragic Hero Records discussed the lyrics with Earthists, the band explained the concept of, “What is done cannot be undone.” Pretending not to see destruction of the earth needs to be changed, and Earthists strongly emphasizes how we, ourselves, should be that change. Additionally, the lyrics describe the idea that, “We have no choice where we are born.” However, we can truly start to live our lives once we choose exactly how we want to live them. Asim was born in Pakistan and moved to Finland at the age of 18 to pursue a career in music and has been playing in several bands and projects since then. Jari Mäenpää commented: "We've known him for a long time and we knew he is a great singer, but we didn't realise how talented and skilful a guitar player he is. Asim was actually the first one who sent us an audition video, which surprised us very positively. After the video auditions and two rounds of live auditions we realised he was exactly what we were looking for. He is very motivated and passionate with a good heavy metal attitude - a great guitar player and vocalist to improve the live sound of Wintersun even further!"
