Speed metal cult Speedclaw stream the entirety of their highly anticipated new mini-album, Beast in the Mist, at Legacy magazine's website. Set for international release on April 20th via Shadow Kingdom Records, hear Speedclaw's Beast in the Mist in its entirety exclusively HERE. Following hot on the heels of their debut EP, Iron Speed - which Shadow Kingdom released on cassette to widespread critical acclaim earlier in 2017 - now Speedclaw strike while the iron's white hot with Beast in the Mist! Taking all the electricity and excitement of that debut short-length, this new short-length sees this Croatian force of nature increasing their power and professionalism in equal, no-less-devastating measures. Just like that first record, Speedclaw still embody all the energy of the early '80s, when the NWOBHM was in full steam and speed metal was in its early days, and take their hooks and heaviness even higher into the night. Here, no doubt bolstered by the rich 'n' robust production, these four maniacs more patiently ply their bolder and more epic songwriting whilst not losing an ounce of engaging immediacy; if anything, they're going even harder and faster for the throat. Then again, Beast in the Mist plays out its drama in a darker manner, letting Speedclaw dig their nails in deeply and differently than Iron Speed. But make no mistake: Speedclaw are their own masters, and totally heavy metal to the bone! Beware the Beast in the Mist! In the meantime, stream Beast in the Mist in its entirety exclusively HERE, courtesy of Legacy, Germany's defenders of the true. Set to unleash their new EP "The War Inside" on May 10th, Orlando's Meka Nism, a metal tour de force has teamed up with PureGrainAudio.com for the premiere of their next single "Trailblazer". Listen to one of metal's next titan's triumph with this powerful anti-suicide track about keeping positive and persevering when times feel they have no escape. "Trailblazer" can be heard at http://puregrainaudio.com/audio/floridian-metal-quintet-meka-nism-stream-hot-new-trailblazer-single-exclusive-premiere The band adds: "The meaning behind 'The War Inside' has a lot to do with the duality of things, the mental wars we all have with ourselves, good vs. bad, all of the stuff going on in the world today, and the everyday battles that we all go through. Whether its depression, anxiety, suicide, family, or outside pressure, everyone deals with some sort of War Inside, and we are here to try and help you through it." "The War Inside" follows Meka Nism's three previous releases "Live From The Machine Shop" (Live CD) (2016), "The Shift" (EP) (2015), "The Dance At The End of The World" (EP) (2013). Inspired by Metallica, Joan Jett, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Ghost, Meka Nism’s sound is powerful, metallic, aggressive, melodic, and in your face. They are a band that fires on all cylinders and with the most charismatic front-woman "Meka", they have supported legends like Mastodon, Gojira, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Otep and In Flames, which now continues as the band has been confirmed to be local Orlando support for Korn's Jonathan Davis' tour date on May 14th at Plaza Live, details can be found here. Vocalist Meka comments: "We are very excited to have this opportunity to play with Jonathan Davis. I know I speak for everyone in Meka Nism, that we are greatly inspired by his music as a solo artist and with Korn. He is a brilliant artist, consistently creating truly great music with his own unique sound. This will be special experience to share with our home-town tribe in Orlando." Their impending new album "Hades Rising”, covers all the basses of what good metal should be. A fantastic trip to the Emergency room, to have neck fusion surgery, to repair it from the continuous beating it just received from this album. New Noise Magazine premieres the 09th track “Bane Of Creation” exclusively HERE Defiatory's thoughts on the song: “This is your typical apocalypse song where the dark serpent rises to swallow the sun and end the world. The end of all things will come in one form or another, no matter what deity people choose to worship.” Defiatory was initiated in 2015 by Ronnie upon his departure from the prominent death metal band Aeon. Soon, Martin Runnzell joined the band to fill the vocal position, and the first demo track, “Furor Unleashed” saw the light of day within a week after the initial collaboration between Martin and Ronnie. Defiatory completed their debut “Extinct” (released via Black Lion Records in 2016) after completing the full line-up. Defiatory is about to release their second album, aptly titled “Hades Rising”. The album marks the continuation of the band’s collaboration with Black Lion Records. "Hades Rising" carries on from the aggressive thrash metal sound established on the debut album, evolving into more rhythmic and melodic sessions, granting more variances without losing focus on what is important in the old school style of thrash metal. Taking influences from the Bay Area thrash masters, Defiatory flourishes their music through comprehensible production approach. The sophomore album, containing 11 tracks of relentless neck-wrecking thrash metal, with an amazing artwork painted by Mika Rudin, will be released this May 11 on CD formats. Defiatory has already released the music video of the track “In Hell”, an ultimate sonical ride to the menacing combat zone. Gigs and tours will be followed to support the album. Set for international release on April 20th via Iron Bonehead Productions, hear Summon's Parazv Il Zilittv in its entirety exclusively HERE. Summon emerged in late 2016 as a gathering between N. and R. in which they decided to follow a sonority that transcends their soul and where they could give it a more cavernous feel, with an intensity of deep agony. Shortly thereafter, N. decides to move forward with composite themes, and then they decide to call J. to seal the covenant of a deadly entity. The lyrics are handled by N. in which he invokes all the blackness and splendor of death, the burden of enduring and wandering in a world of human flesh, and the infinite thirst for mass slaughter converting mankind into a cloak of bones. What thusly emerged was Summon's debut EP, Aesthetics of Demise, which was released by Iron Bonehead during the summer of 2017 to widespread critical acclaim. A swirling, sulphurous mass of molten death-doom, Aesthetics of Demise was aptly titled, but on the fuller and more fleshed-out Parazv Il Zilittv, the trio both dive deeper into the murk and emerge into clearer dimensions. By no means do Summon here abandon their expertly crafted monolith of death-doom, but they largely (and wisely) leave behind the obfuscating murk which has become so de rigueur (read: TRENDY) in the millennial metal underground. Instead, each passage patiently unfolds and establishes its intended texture, terrorizing the mind and body with oppressive physical/spiritual weight - even (and especially) when stripped back to foggy, tension-inducing mist. The consequently linear songwriting soon works its sepulchral magic, as lurching 'n' lumbering riffs are stretched into hammering trances, sending undulating waves of absolute ritualism deep into the listener's core. Which is all to say nothing of the production on Parazv Il Zilittv, which somehow manages to make Summon sound creepier despite the clearer and more cutting recording style. With Aesthetics of Demise, Summon proved that their smashed-psyche sorcery transcended the usual "sepulchral death metal" tropes. Now, with Parazv Il Zilittv, they prove that that sorcery is potent enough to simultaneously open and close the crypt of time eternal. How far will you step in/out? Set for international release on April 20th via Helldprod Records, hear Scarificare's Tilasm in its entirety exclusively HERE. A work of both crushing heaviness and mystical atmosphere, Tilasm is the album where Scarificare truly come into their own. Theirs is a sound that skilfully ranges black metal, death metal, and doom alike, never settling for easy categorization nor schizophrenically losing focus. Across seven songs in 45 minutes, the listener is taken on a cosmic ride like no other, each movement as memorable as the last. They say the third time's a charm, and indeed it is for Scarificare with Tilasm. Scarificare are a Portuguese extreme metal band formed by Crusher (bass/vocals), Sothis (drums), and Quetzalcoatl (guitars) in Oporto in late 2006. The main purpose was - and still is - to make extreme metal music inspired by all cosmic forces, the wisdom of ancient pagan religions, and consequently in ourselves. In 2007, Inverno joined the band on bass guitar, leaving Crusher totally dedicated to the voice. The band recorded the demo tape Sulphurous Wrath, to be released by Portuguese label Skull Productions. In the beginning of 2008, Sothis leaves the band, giving place to a new drummer named Njord. In 2009, the band started recording their first album, Perpectual Decline. The album was self-financed and was released on October 9th, 2010. After some live concerts in Portugal and Spain for the debut album's promotion, the band participated in the Portuguese black metal compilation Lusitania Dark Horde II with one original track called "Burning Abyss." In the subsequent months, the band started composing the second album, and during the course of that, Crusher leaves. Since then, Quetzalcoatl has assumed vocals in the band. That second album, Postulado, was recorded between late 2012 and April 2013, and officially released on October 12th, 2013 by the Portuguese label Helldprod. The bass lines recorded by Inverno closed his participation in the band. Promotional live concerts during the following months were given by some guests on bass guitar. In late 2014, Njord also leaves the band. During 2015 and 2016, Quetzalcoatl was already composing new music and searching for new band members to keep Scarificare going. In late 2016, Eligos joins the band on bass guitar. At the beginning of 2017, Luis Leal joins the band on drums. During the summer of that same year, the band starts recording their third album, Tilasm, at Hannuman Studios with producer Bruno Silva. The recording process ended in December 2017, and the official release date has been set for April 20th, again through Helldprod Records. Rotting Christ frontman Sakis Tolis relates the events in his own words:- "We arrived in Georgia's capital Tbilisi very early in the morning of Thursday, 12th of April. After the regular document check at the border, my brother and I were stopped by the police on our way out from the airport. After some minutes, we were ordered to follow police to another area of the airport under the pretence of further questioning before entering the country. Instead, we had our passports and mobile phones taken away and were lead into a prison cell. When we were demanding to be told the reason for this arrest, we were simply told this information would be 'confidential'. Our lawyers informed us later that we are on a list of unwanted persons of national security that branded us as Satanists and therefore suspects of terrorism. Without previous warning and no official reason, we found ourselves in jail, locked into a small and rather dirty cell and without being permitted any contact to the outside world or legal representation or our embassy for 12 hours. Conditions were bad and no further information provided during this time. Luckily, only the names 'Tolis' were on the list and the other two band members started to work with the local promoter to extract us from prison and commence legal procedures. It took strong efforts and a complicated procedure to find a solution. Due to the hard work of the local promoter, who involved legal experts, journalists, and activists in Georgia, we were finally released. We are extremely grateful to everybody involved in this process. In the end, we were even able to perform our show and it turned out to be a fantastic night. We would also like to thank all our Georgian metal brothers for their overwhelming support!" Rotting Christ were allowed to leave the country towards Armenia without any further complications. The sky ghost, the wayfarer, the shadow of time, the exile; he is called by many names yet for the Immortal, he is cursed to traverse the cosmos aimlessly, searching for an unattainable purpose. Chained to him is a beast, a demon from antiquity who the immortal keeps as a reminder of his past. Upon the corridors of the Tymeer capitol the immortal presents his seemingly profound doctrine called the “Compendium of Ethical Symbiosis” which outlines a harmonious way of governing and regulating the various civilizations under the ruling regime through casting down warmonger ideologies and laws which degrade the value of its species. Though momentarily entertained, the ruling counsel of Tymeer dismisses the wisdom of the wayfarer. Passing through the city gates tired and morally degraded, the immortal along with his insidiously chained demon wanders into the wastelands of Tymeer. The band has seen the lead single from their forthcoming album premiered. Their label debut, entitled Atheist \ \ Omnist, will be released April 20th with the band hitting the road with Novelists and Landmvrks shortly thereafter. "We are honoured to be signed to Imminence Records for our upcoming full album album and feel more then confident with the label and the team. We are excited to see what the future brings as a lot of effort has been put in the creation of this album which took almost 2 years. The album is dedicated to the perceptions of religion. We started to dig deep into this pit of religious statements and found ourselves lost in the true meaning of belief. Being hit by numerous violent attacks in the name of religion, it got us thinking. We want to believe religion is a positive thing that brings hope and strength in times needed. We greatly respect these aspects as people need to find this mental state of comfort for themselves. However, religions also state there is only one right way to believe and other beliefs should be neglected. This is were we see they are wrong. We wanted to write about the positive aspects everyone should dare to see. Atheism is an extreme form that states there is no God, no one to bring or preach destruction and tunnel vision. True atheism accepts the fact that people do believe and doesn’t ignore it’s values. The other extreme side of it is called Omnism. It states to believe and accept all religions. There is no right way to handle all of these conceptions. We tried to figure out the right ways for ourselves, which turned into 'Atheist \ \ Omnist'. This is what we feel in our hearts and minds.” - Kevin Surmont (Guitarist) Watch 'I Am Death' here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajx8SIIWaXs&feature=youtu.be Here Stands a Hero is a metalcore band from Lier, Belgium.
