After listening to this LP, all I want to do is behead all those that have ever done me wrong - FUCK OFF & DIE YOU BASTARDS," wrote CvltNation.com of the full-length debut from Spanish black metal scourge Sheidm. The latter will continue its work with the band for North American territory. On the signing to Agonia & new album, Decrepit Birth commented: "We are very excited to work with Agonia, we feel that it will be a great partnership and give us the exposure we've needed in Europe. The new Decrepit Birth will be the heaviest and best album the band has recorded to date. A huge thank you to Agonia Records, we look forward to working with them in the years ahead!” Officially formed in 2001, Decrepit Birth released three studio album's to date, which got them a premiere spot on the death metal radar. Their music, infused with technical and progressive twists, managed to forge a very solid international fan base & continues to forge their path into the future as one of the genre’s finest bands. Decrepit Birth's latest album "Polarity" (2010) was well received by critics and entered the Billboard "Heatseekers Chart" at #18, selling well over a thousand copies in its first week of release in USA. The record was supported by the Summer Slaughter tour, which saw the band play with acts such as Decapitated, The Faceless, All Shall Perish, Veil Of Maya and Animals As Leaders. More details on the band's 4th album will follow soon. https://www.facebook.com/decrepitbirth http://agoniarecords.com https://facebook.com/agoniarecords Sarabante's commanding second LP, "Poisonous Legacy" is out now via Southern Lord and streaming in its entirety. The gripping, lamenting melodies of the guitars define the Poisonous Legacy sound, and speak volumes about Sarabante's world view. Eloquently miserable harmonies soar then swoop downwards, constantly seeking nervous and reverberating moments to amplify and meld into their modern crust motion, involving copious amounts of righteous d-beat and clarity amongst the crunch. Few have done it so well since the advent of Tragedy and His Hero Is Gone, and Sarabante is undoubtedly creating their own approach with impressive, aggressive songwriting and attacking momentum. Their meticulous attention to mournful atmospheres is maintained across the twenty-six minutes, filling Poisonous Legacy with rampaging passages and brooding breakdowns, and making the record a thrilling and powerful statement. Order Poisonous Legacy direct through Southern Lord HERE. Heavily influenced by oppression and trying to withstand the ongoing crisis in their home country, Sarabante's new anthems are forged in times of extreme austerity, which has without doubt blackened their focus. As a result, the music on Poisonous Legacy is darker, filthier, more sincere. and more destructive than before. Poisonous Legacy was mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, Nails, Obituary) and is out now on Southern Lord. http://www.facebook.com/sarabante http://sarabante.bandcamp.com http://www.southernlord.com http://southernlord.bandcamp.com http://www.facebook.com/SLadmin http://twitter.com/twatterlord Bring Me The Horizon reveal 'Avalanche' video ahead of their performance at Glastonbury today24/6/2016 Bring Me The Horizon reveal their latest video for album track ‘Avalanche’ ahead of their highly anticipated performance at Glastonbury Festival on Friday. Watch the video here: http://vevo.ly/dFUysC “This is the first time we’ve worked on filming and editing the whole project. Having creative control over every aspect from start to finish was great, it was a lot of work but extremely rewarding! We enjoyed working on it together so much that we’ve decided to start a collaborative company called Fun Blood so we can work on projects together in the future.” - Tom Sykes The band have been riding the wave of global success since the release of their last album, That’s The Spirit, which topped the charts in over 10 countries around the world. 2016 has seen the band play sold out shows in cities across North America, South America, Europe and Asia as well as a stunning performance at the Royal Albert Hall, with a full orchestra, for Teenage Cancer Trust. As they head into the autumn they will perform their biggest UK headline shows so far, which includes two dates at the O2, see below. October

Showcasing the band's ability to meld chaotic progressive time signatures with blazing solos and heavy grooves (with the unique inclusion of "xylo-synth"), "Eternal Recurrence" soars as the band's first of several planned singles cut from their upcoming full-length album, Ironshore, scheduled to hit stores this fall. Today marks the release of the band's new music video for "Eternal Recurrence". Directed by Abraham Roofeh and filmed in vocalist Jake Oni's home locale of the Cayman Islands, the video depicts a man running from a mysterious masked assailant - but is this assailant really a stranger? Watch the video now, exclusively via Metal Injection: http://www.metalinjection.net/video/oni-is-the-strange-straight-forward-progressive-metal-band-you-need ONI frontman Jake Oni states, "It was a pleasure filming the video in the Cayman Islands. It's very convenient working from home, although the performance was brutal at times. When the guys and myself were done filming, we couldn't even walk the next day! After headbanging for what felt like an eternity, there was nothing better than laying on the ground! When we first saw the treatment for the video, it was hard to imagine how it would turn out, however it exceeded all of our expectations. The sunny island felt more dystopian than anything else and our director captured the meaning of the song and the look of the band perfectly. Overall, it was a blast to work on and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!" The band's upcoming new album Ironshore is packed full of contrasts and contradictions, grace and violence, and with the band disinterested in churning out endless soundalikes, each has a distinct character of its own - or more accurately characters of its own, since they refuse to limit themselves to a single mood or tone. With Jake Oni handling vocal duties, Martin Andres and Brandon White on guitar, Chase Bryant on bass and Joe Greulich on drums, they are also perhaps the first metal band to feature a xylo-synth player, in the form of Johnny D, which adds an interesting and intriguing dynamic. Stay tuned for much more coming from ONI in anticipation of their upcoming album release this fall. https://facebook.com/theoniband https://twitter.com/theoniband Manga-themed progressive metal band Pseudo/Sentai have teamed up with the highly regarded Echoes and Dust to stream "Belle of the Cabal", a new track from their forthcoming album "Enter The Sentai". The vocalist / guitarist plays the part of one of the Gravediggers, peasants or commoners that use their great wit and intellect to get the better of their superiors, other people of higher social status, and each other. In addition to his role as Gravedigger, Kelly remains onstage for much of the performance's duration playing music that serves as a soundtrack for the entire show and ultimately providing the sonic landscape for Hamlet's psychological journey. "This is an adventure for me," Kelly reveals. "I have never scored a film or a play before and I've always wanted the opportunity to do so. Thanks to my employers of the last sixteen years, I am realizing this dream. Hamlet is an incredible ghost story about the darkest internal process. This production is amazing, the actors are some of the best at their craft in the world, and the director, Lisa Petterson, is nothing short of visionary. My co-collaberator, Paul James Prendergast, is one of my favourite people and it was his idea to bring me into this whole thing. I hope that as many of you who can be here will be here to share in this unique experience." Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare sometime between 1599 and 1602. Based in Denmark, the play dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet is called to wreak upon his uncle, Claudius, by the ghost of Hamlet's father, King Hamlet. Claudius had murdered his own brother and seized the throne, also marrying his deceased brother's widow. The spectral accusation torments Hamlet's troubled mind, driving him to avenge a crime that may or may not be a product of his own imagining. Grand in scope, rich in language, this classic story of haunting, both literal and metaphorical, Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest play, and is ranked among the most powerful and influential tragedies in English literature. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1935. The season runs from February through early November. OSF has three theatres: two indoor stages, the Angus Bowmer Theatre and the Thomas Theatre, and their flagship outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre where Hamlet takes place. OSF offers eleven different plays that include three or four by Shakespeare and seven by other classic writers, as well as modern and contemporary work and world premieres. The OSF mission statement: "Inspired by Shakespeare's work and the cultural richness of the United States, we reveal our collective humanity through illuminating interpretations of new and classic plays, deepened by the kaleidoscope of rotating repertory." Hamlet plays twice a week through October 14th (note: Kelly will not appear in performances from August 8th - 22nd as he will be touring Europe with Neurosis). Coscradh, which is Gaelic for to slaughter or massacre, is a new revelation in the Irish black/death metal underground and yet another extremely promising newcomer fostered by Invictus. Across Coscradh, the theme of death as represented through old Irish folk tales finds its place amongst the modern setting of hideous death metal. Indeed, "hideous" is perhaps the best adjective for Coscradh in general and their debut in particular: gnarled and gnawing, possessive of a molten muscularity that always threatens to explode into chaos, each dread decibel in these four songs hearken back to a more primordial time, the four players neck deep in a state of primal psychosis. It's a sound that's simultaneously progressive and regressive, blunt and brainy - but forever in thrall to the core tenets of DEATH fucking METAL. Invictus Productions will be presenting Coscradh's Coscradh on cassette tape first, with CD and vinyl versions to follow later. A full stream can be heard HERE. Coscradh will also be sharing a split release with America's Caveman Cult later this year. Cover and track-listing for Coscradh are as follows: www.facebook.com/Coscradh On the one year anniversary of her critically-acclaimed, masterful debut full-length, "M", Danish black metal artist Myrkur unveils a captivating live recording from the historic Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo, Norway. Aptly titled Mausoleum, the album features beautifully dramatic & stripped-down acoustic reinventions of seven songs from M plus one brand new song and a Bathory cover; all with the accompaniment of the storied Norwegian Girls Choir. Captured in a cold, dimly-lit tomb covered in morbid frescos that depict the circle of human life from conception till death, Mausoleum is an incredible showcase of Myrkur's sublime yet haunting voice in a truly chilling, unrivalled atmosphere. Hear "Jeg er guden, I er tjenerne" now at this location. "Mausoleum" is due out this August 19 on CD / LP / Digital via Relapse. Physical pre-orders are available at this location, and digital versions can be pre-ordered via Myrkur's Bandcamp here. |
