Italian horror death metallers Gravesite are premiering the new track "Postmortem Fetal Extrusion (Coffin Birth)" through NoCleanSinging.com. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated second album, Neverending Trail of Skulls. Set for international release on August 1st via Xtreem Music, the album was recorded by Umberto Furlan at Black Sun Studio between October 2016 and February 2017, with a later mastering by Daniel Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio and topped off by the artwork of Matteo Zanella. Hear Gravesite's "Postmortem Fetal Extrusion (Coffin Birth") in its entirety exclusively HERE. Gravesite was formed back in 2014 by members from other bands like Haemophagus, Undeed Creep, and Cancer Spreading among others, and released a demo entitled Obsessed by the Macabre. This led to their signing with Xtreem Music, who released their debut album Horrifying Nightmares... in July 2015, which was formed by nine tracks of old-fashioned death metal in the best tradition of bands like Autopsy, Grave, Death, and Carcass. Hear the continuation of that tradition exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. Also check out the title track to Never-ending Trail of Skulls at Xtreem Music's Soundcloud HERE and also at the label's official YouTube channel HERE. Set for international release today via Signal Rex, hear Ordem Satânica's Monte da Lua in its entirety exclusively HERE. Hailing from the rawest core of the thriving Portuguese black metal scene, Ordem Satânica are possessed by a hideous grimness that's utterly hypnotizing. Despite not belonging to Portugal's Black Circle (Mons Veneris, Vetala, Irae), Ordem Satânica's sound is comparably chaotic and necrotic, bleary and blown-out. And yet, the trio possess a deceptive sense of melody, malformed and miasmic, dissonant and distressed, that favourably reminds of France's immortal Black Legions from the dark days of the 1990s. For verily, this BLACK METAL from an ancient time - AGAINST the modern world, and against the modern "black metal" scene. To date, Ordem Satânica have built a coveted canon of thoroughly underground works, each more challenging and cantankerous than the last. Just earlier this year, this enviable escalation of aesthetic antagonization reached its apotheosis with Signal Rex's release of the In Aeterna Crudelitate cassette - like the old ways/days, limited to only 66 copies and selling out almost immediately. But alas, Ordem Satânica transcend all prior with Monte da Lua, the most mesmerizing distillation of their crude-yet-cultivated art. Stripped completely bare and blown out in an almost brittle manner, Monte da Lua is a windswept travail across desolation and disgust, ever inwards and maybe even backwards. Modernity doesn't exist here; there is only the past, which passed before it began. Time stands still here, and the listener is powerless against Ordem Satânica's evocations of a better/worse world. When there are still revisionist reveries for the early '90s boom of black metal, which inevitably died a slow death, there are bands in this millennium who harness that very real, very primordial power, and the raw Portuguese scene is currently at the forefront. Ordem Satânica carry the torch - have you been burned yet? Feel the total burn exclusively HERE, courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine. In November of 2015, the Iranian metal duo, Nikan "Siyanor" Khosravi and Arash "Chemical" Ilkhani, were arrested in November of 2015 by the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution and had some serious charges levied against them: blasphemy, advertising against the system, running an illegal and underground band and record label promoting music considered to be Satanic, writing anti-religious lyrics and granting interviews to forbidden foreign radio stations. At the time, we reported the band faced a maximum penalty of six years in prison, or worse, execution. Very little was public about the case at the time. Today, Metal Injection published an interview with Nikan "Siyanor" Khosravi, offering his first public comments since the arrest. Nikan offers an update on the trial, discusses how he discovered metal and reveals words of encouragement he's gotten from the likes of Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz and even Eminem. Northern Ireland's Rabid Bitch Of The North unveil debut album details & release first single21/6/2017 Wearing their influences on their sleeves, quite literally, patched denim and all things NWOBHM is their art, they are the purveyors of traditional heavy metal. Belfast heavy metal trio Rabid Bitch Of The North have announced they will release their debut full length album, Nothing But a Bitter Taste, this August via Hostile Media. "Nothing But a Bitter Taste has essentially been several years in the making. For the first time in over 10 years of performing live we had to find time to take off, go to our studio, and do this album justice," comments band frontman Joe McDonnell. "Nothing But A Bitter Taste, is a concrete slab of that classic British sounding metal. It's something straight off a NWOBHM compilation cassette. A varied spectrum of styles and tempos, and each track has its own story. It is heavy metal with rock n roll, but it is definitely progressive sounding from the previous EP and singles we've released." The album was recorded by guitarist Gerard Mulholland, as with all their previous releases. "Gerrys production has been a learn as you work approach. Using his skills built up from years of making our demos and singles," Joe adds regarding the recording process. "What we wanted to achieve was a record that captured our unique character, as well sounding like a record that we would listen to. We wanted it to sound like the metal we like, which is anything from the golden era of heavy metal. Maybe a few Judas Priest records were points of reference at times, but the album was never based on one particular sound." As well as announcing details of the album the band have also released the first single, a track entitled 'The Missionary', and a song which purpose was to try and harness the bizarre excitement and feeling heavy metal fans first experience on finding the genre, seeing the first album covers of Maiden's Eddie or the devilish artwork depicted on Ozzy and Dio records. "It's a song about the journey of discovering metal, searching out new bands and sounds, and then becoming part of the scene creating your own songs." The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, At The Gates, etc.), at the acclaimed Studio Fredman in the fall of 2016. After the departure of founding member and drummer Ragnar Sverrison, Beneath teamed up with Mike Heller (Malignancy, Control/Resist, Fear Factory) to handle the drums for the album. The result is nine tracks of relentless brutality; an odyssey through the forthcoming millenniums of exponential colonization of planets and galaxies by human induced technology; a world where technology has gone way beyond the frontier of the imagination. Commented vocalist Benedikt Natanael Bjarnason, "We are immensely proud to announce the release of our third full-length album Ephemeris. We teamed up with Mike Heller to provide session drums for the nine-track album which adds a whole new dimension to the soundscape of Beneath. Make sure to not miss the release date on August 18th!" Guitarist Jóhann Ingi Sigurðsson adds, "Ephemeris has been a demanding album for us personally and in many ways, it represents a turning point for the band. We've always pushed ourselves in ways that keep us invested and engaged in our music, and on this album, that meant making big changes to our overall sound. There are songs that are a marriage of pure heaviness and brutality, while on the other spectrum there are some very challenging technical arrangements pushing the limits of our playing abilities. In the end, we ended up with an album that feels musically multidimensional and that we are extremely proud of." Ephemeris will be released on August 18th via Unique Leader Records.
