Catalan atmospheric metal band Foscor have revealed the details of their digital album 'Les Irreals Visions'', to be released on August 24, 2018. Furthermore, a new lyric video for the track "Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)," from the upcoming record has been published. The video can be viewed below.

'Les Irreals Versions', the title aptly translating to 'The Unreal Versions', can be seen as a continuation of the album 'Les Irreals Visions', released a little more than a year ago. Six tracks, taken from previous albums, have been re-arranged and recorded from zero. Foscor introduces different instruments to the compositions, creating a more intimate feel and ambient approach, ultimately taking the music to new boundaries.
"Our creative foundations call for a transformation of all moments to eternal, reaching a reconciliation between the far beyond and the here, matching the spiritual and earthly level of our nature. As we set during the creative process for 'Les Irreals Visions', common things must acquire a new meaning, and so this compilation of songs digs into this aim.
The world must be poetized, and taking our own songs to the most intimate level, we were able to expand its dimension and memory. A pleasant experience shared with pure artists, which today we are more than proud to present you with this first visual and acoustic approach. This time-lapse video experience sets a metaphor of a personal and individual experience.
"Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)" translate as "Shavings of Death", is based on our vocalist Fiar experience during his grandfather’s last hours. Watching him touch a sort of invisible sparks or falling leaves in front of him, gave him the idea that perhaps by catching these invisible things in the very last moment you are saving some life shavings: memories, experiences and moments you love but that Death asks you to leave behind."
Death metal primitivists Mutilate stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Tormentium, at heavily trafficked web-portal CVLTNation.com. Set for international release on June 29th via Iron Bonehead Productions, hear Mutilate's Tormentium in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from New York, Mutilate are literally a blast from the past. Sounding as if time stopped some 30 years ago, this quartet create crude 'n' rude black-cum-death metal that was only brewed in the darkest dungeons of the underground circa 1987. As such, they aesthetically nod to the likes of Death Strike, Helllhammer, Nunslaughter, and Goatlord (U.S.) as well as the torchbearers that came after those pioneers during the '90s like Acheron, Usurper, Gravewürm, and Sathanas. It's stripped-down and simple, and unapologetically so, and done with absolute belief and total authenticity. Trend-mongers likely can't tolerate Tormentium, but Mutilate never made this kind of record - or any record, really - for them. Theirs is a cult, and unselfconsciously so since their Fortress of Suffering debut demo last year. Tormentium is simply a longer/stronger consolidation of their sound, as it should be.
Recently, Dutch thrash metallers Overruled has signed for Punishment 18 Records that will release their new album in studio. Mastering was handled by Jeff Waters, well known as mastermind of legendary technical thrash metal band Annihilator. New information will follow soon.
"Vinnie Paul Abbott wasn’t just a drummer, he was an iconic fixture in the metal and hard rock community, a pioneer, and an absolute legend. He was a self taught drummer who went on to win many awards for his impeccable skills throughout his career.
A founding member of Pantera, DamagePlan and his current band HellYeah, Vinnie was a vital force for bands and millions of fans worldwide. Whether fans were turning their volume to 11 or headbanging their hearts out at live shows, Vinnie was an inspiration.
His most recent release, Hellyeah’s 'Undeniable' contained three hit singles, thanks to support from Sirius XM’s Octane. “All of us at Octane are so broken hearted to hear of the passing of our brother Vinnie Paul. We sent love to his family, band members and fans. You will be missed. Thinking of you reunited and rockin’ with Dime… Rest in Peace, Vinnie Paul Abbott”, Octane released in a statement.
Today, the world not only lost a legend, but also a genuine human being who lived to put a smile on the faces of everyone he met. May he be reunited with his brother as we all strive to continue his legacy.
Eleven Seven Music is heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, bandmates, friends, and fans through this difficult time."
American/Finnish sensations Tornado have returned with their third release, aptly titled "Commitment To Excellence", 11 songs of highly catchy and in-your-face Thrash Metal!
Formed in 2010 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Tornado quickly released their Peter Tagtgren (Hypocrisy/Pain) produced debut album "Amsterdamn, Hellsinki". 2016 saw the release of the sophomore album "Black President" as well as the video for the anti-bullying song "David and Goliath" which caught the attention of several anti-bullying agencies, one of which used singer Superstar Joey Severance in a country wide advertising campaign.
With "Commitment To Excellent", Tornado continue to do what they do best: writing songs that you can actually remember, with their own original recipe consisting in a blend of thrash, sleazy and glam!
This time around, the band also brought along some friends to help out in certain places: Nile’s Karl Sanders, Immolation’s Ross Dolan and Pro-Pain’s Adam Phillips, as well as Glen Drover (former Megadeth member).

Swiss metal band, Maxxwell, have announced the release of their fourth album 'Metalized' on September 21, 2018. Metalized says it all - many concerts have left their mark. On the new record, the band rocks harder, catchier and a lot more edgier than on their earlier releases. The lyric video for the title track 'Metalized' will be released on June 29, 2018. The song is a homage to the band's big influences, with a bit of a wink. A video teaser can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/40vwMxI7DP4
Sometimes it takes a little longer for a work to reach completion. This is what happened with Maxxwell, who have taken a full four years to produce their fourth release, "Metalized". Thanks to the strength of the band's last album, "Tabula Rasa", they played support on tours with Michael Schenker's Temple Of Rock, Doro, Kissin' Dynamite, Rage & Shakra and support slots for Within Temptation, Extreme, Gloryhammer - just to name a few. In the almost 10-year career of Maxxwell, they have performed a total of over two hundred shows.
The band is ready to conquer the stages of this world, and all signs point to a storm. The band's new self-confidence is also the completely autonomous way things are being done this time round. The band is overseeing the label, management, booking and production all in one. A tour has already been confirmed. Maxxwell will be accompanying "Threshold" on their "Legends Of The Shires" tour as a special guest. More to come soon...

Revolver Magazine is now streaming "The Sorrowful Void," the first song to be revealed from The Secret's scathing EP, Lux Tenebris, their first new material in six years, due out in August via Southern Lord.
The Secret ends the extensive period of decay since their 2012-released Agnus Dei LP, emerging with their first studio material in almost six years. Following three years without communication between members, the band regrouped under the same roof for the first time since 2015 to record Lux Tenebris, a three-song act in sonic exploration of the theme of the sepulchre.
The band offers with the new song's debut:-
"The Sorrowful Void' is a song that develops from the obsession for a riff and its repetition. It's the very first riff that has been written for this new EP and that single riff constitutes the majority of the song. This type of density and repetition makes the riff turn almost into a texture that my mind visualizes as a sort of vortex or a magmatic eruption. It's a riff that is meant to get lost into. The writing process for this song influenced the overall sound of the rest of the EP."
Expose The Secret's "The Sorrowful Void" at Revolver HERE.
Southern Lord will issue The Secret's Lux Tenebris as part of the label's special twentieth anniversary subscription series on August 31st with a small portion of the pressing to be available via label direct mail-order. The 12" vinyl pressing bears the three tracks on the A-side, with a silk-screened B-side; the EP will also be released on all digital platforms. Kliodna has ranked number 1 on Reverbnation’s Metal Charts for their country of Belarus for many months now! Kliodna signed a distribution contract with the label WormHoleDeath Records and have released their debut album called: “The Dark Side of the Stories“ with them along with their latest single: "Fly Far Away" in September 2017.
