Indian heavy metallers Illucia to release new album "A New Reign" & video "Walls Of Desire"12/6/2022 Illucia is a heavy metal act from Bangalore, India. They are influenced by the sounds of Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Crimson Glory, Queensrÿche, Saxon, Accept, Mercyful Fate and bands similar to these greats. The band started to work on their first-ever studio album in 2021, a 9-track concept album that allows listeners to vicariously live through its inexorable characters, vivid landscapes, and an albeit unforgiving plot line. The band about the album: "'A New Reign' is ILLUCIA's debut concept-based studio album comprising of 9 old school heavy metal tracks. You can expect a well-blended mix of power ballads, fast rhythmic guitar melodies, thumping drums coupled with tantalizing bass solos topped with dynamic vocals of the good old 80's. Brace yourselves as we take you through a mystical voyage across oceans, mountains, and volcanoes." Lineup on the album:
Illucia was formed in 2014 as a three-piece band by Nitin Charles Martin, Srivatsa Balaji and Vishal Vineesh. Their main influences are Black Sabbath, Dio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar, Omen, King Diamond, Saxon, Accept and other acts along similar lines. In 2015, they played at one of Bangalore's biggest music festivals of the time called Freedom Jam and in 2016, they were a part of a tribute to the legendary Ronnie James Dio. They started working on their own compositions in 2018 and released their debut EP '111' in September 2019. Their EP was well received around the world and they were known for their powerful and energetic 80s feel. They got signed to Heart of Steel Records for a digital promotion deal of '111' in December 2019. As they continued gigging in 2020 and 2021, they were simultaneously working on their debut full-length concept studio album which was recorded at Stained Class Productions LLP and Eleven Gauge Recordings in Bangalore, India. They were invited to play at Dead By Dawn in Kolkata which turned out to be one of the band's most memorable gigs and they recently treated their hometown audience in Bangalore to some pounding old school traditional heavy metal. Their debut album is titled 'A New Reign' and they are all set to release it on June 11, 2022. Get the digital album at their bands Bandcamp page here: https://illuciaindia.bandcamp.com/music

Riding high on a creative renaissance saluted by the likes of Rolling Stone and NME, the Grammy-nominated goliath returns with the gloriously unhinged Omens, produced by long-time collaborator Josh Wilbur (Korn, Megadeth). Omens is a furious entry in the Lamb Of God catalogue, perhaps their angriest album yet. "The world is crazy and keeps changing. Omens is a reaction to the state of the world,” explains vocalist D. Randall Blythe. "It’s a very pissed-off record.” He pauses for emphasis. “It is extremely pissed-off.” The New Wave Of American Heavy Metal architects tracked Omens at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California, a location that birthed classics from The Doors, The Ramones, and Soundgarden, among others. "The inner workings of the band have never been better,” explains guitarist Mark Morton. “You can hear it in Omens. You can see it in our performances, and if you're around us for five minutes, you can feel it." Hungarian symphonic metal band Meteora release new lyric video for "Danse Macabre", ft. Chris Harms of Lord Of The Lost. Atilla Király states: "The song is about the circle of life, no matter who you are, in the Dance of Death we are the same. One of the first songs written for the third album, with Danse Macabre I had two goals in mind. Making a gothic waltz, and trying to win Chris Harms from Lord of the Lost to appear as a guest in it. The latter was more like a dream, than a goal set in stone, but as it turned out Chris was interested in working with us on the song, and delivered the phenomenal level of vocals he always does. Chris Harms states:- "I don't want to fanboy too much, but one of the best metal voices in my book doing a duet with Noémi on a Meteora song still feels insane. The hardest part for us was keeping quiet about it since December to be honest. We had a good friend, Ádám Kurucz do guest solos on the album, this is his debut as well, with many more to come. The video itself is a creation of Dronicon Films, who worked with artists such as Katatonia and Swallow the Sun, and as soon as we saw their art style we knew it would be a perfect fit for our gothic dance."
Brought to life by the devious minds of the multi-instrumentalist and producer Alessio NeroArgento and vocalist Claudio Ravinale (Infernalizer, Disarmonia Mundi), The Silverblack is an industrial metal creature that quickly developed its own malicious sound, spitting out extremely catchy tracks, mainly keyboard-driven and supported by a wide range of vocals (from goth deep voices to extremely irate death metal shouts) featuring both sharp and aggressive passages and more atmospheric and eerie moments. The band's fifth studio album "Judgment" is now available as of June 10th via German label darkTunes and marks a substantial evolution in the band's sound, focusing more on aggression and heaviness when compared to their previous records, without forgetting the usual dose of catchy hooks and haunting melodies the band is already known for. In support of the record, they are also sharing their latest music video for the album's title track, which features guest vocals from industrial metal pioneer and former Fear Factory vocalist Burton C. Bell.
Talking about the prestigious collaboration the band stated: "Doing features is pretty common these days, but we wanted this to be quite special and meaningful. We consider this album the culmination of a process we started a bunch of years ago with the first record: in the beginning, we didn't know where we wanted to go, musically speaking, so we simply developed and evolved our style year after year, album after album. It's been a natural process: as soon as we finished this album we understood this is what we wanted to do since the beginning of the band and to put the proverbial icing on the cake we decided to recruit a singer that with his band started this kind of music in the first place. Burton's tone is unique: he is the voice of industrial metal and we wouldn't be here playing this kind of music if it wasn't for bands like Fear Factory who broke down boundaries within styles paving the way for what came next, so having him on our record is truly an honour and a one of a kind experience. His distinctive vocals brought the song to a whole new level and we can't wait for people to hear it".
The pounding title track opens the album with its bone-crushing rhythm and cinematic atmospheres featuring guest vocals by none other than iconic former Fear Factory singer Burton C. Bell delivers an incredibly strong and inspired performance gifting the song with an amazing chorus. The title track is quickly followed by another two ragers: “Punishment” and “A Lifetime Ago”. Both tracks hit the listener hard balancing aggressive parts with more melodic moments, written with the clear purpose in mind of being absolute live-crushers these two songs represent exactly where the band feels comfortable being at the moment. “Chasing Ghosts” brings back some gothic elements to the band's sound, with Infernalizer (born Claudio Ravinale, also known for being the vocalist of melodic-death metal veterans Disarmonia Mundi, featuring Soilwork's singer Speed Strid among their ranks) switching from the harsh growly vocals showcased in the previous tracks to a deep crooning voice in the vibe of Type O Negative and Moonspell. The following “Sometimes They Come Back” features an uncompromising aggrotech assault partly mitigated by the catchy chorus by the multi-instrumentalist NeroArgento, who is also responsible for all the melodic vocals on the album besides recording and producing all the instruments and the album itself. “Chrysalis” develops into a shape-shifting industrial metal interlude before the bleak assault of “Damaged” hits the listener straight in the face with its feral vocals, cyber synths, and crushing rhythm section. “Nocturne” is probably the lightest moment of the whole album featuring heavy retro-wave influences, theatrical gothic vocals, and a huge chorus while “Reality Check” hits hard again with its pounding assault. “One Last Nail” delivers the last handful of industrial metal kicks in the face supported by a more rock 'n' roll influenced groove before the forlorn melancholy of the almost-ballad “Into Null” closes what can be considered the darkest and heaviest “The Silverblack” album to date. Counterparts are back. The Hamilton, Ontario-based metalcore heavyweights have announced their upcoming full-length, "A Eulogy For Those Still Here", due out October 7th from Pure Noise Records. The record finds Counterparts tapping into a deep sense of uncertainty and dread and pushing their visceral sound to even greater extremes to make their most definitive statement yet. To mark the announcement, Counterparts have shared the album's first single "Unwavering Vow." Kicking off with a blast of pummelling drums and intricate riffing, the gut punch of a track offers a ground-shaking introduction to "A Eulogy For Those Still Here". After two minutes of intense aggression the song pauses for a brief respite of haunting atmosphere, then hurtles into one of the most crushing breakdowns the band have ever written.
Since forming in 2007, Counterparts–made up of vocalist Brendan Murphy, guitarists Alex Re and Jesse Doreen, bassist Tyler Williams, and drummer Kyle Brownlee–have gone from underdogs to a globetrotting powerhouse in the world of aggressive music. Engineered / produced by Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Every Time I Die, Vein.fm), "A Eulogy For Those Still Here" finds Murphy at a crossroads, preoccupied with the inevitability of change and endings. “I think I deal with things by preparing myself for the end,” he explains. “With so much of this record I’m mourning the loss of someone that’s still alive or saying goodbye to something that hasn’t left yet.” The result is a high stakes record written as a true statement of intent–a mix of crushing heaviness and stark atmospherics that draws on everything Counterparts have been honing for the past 15 years. “All of these things I have are still a big part of my life but one day they won’t be, and I don’t want to be focusing on that instead of enjoying the time I have with them,” says Murphy. “Maybe I’m saying goodbye pre-emptively but I think it’s important to say goodbye while you can.” Defiant are to release their brand new EP "Vanguards Of Misrule" on June 26th, 2022. "Vanguards Of Misrule celebrates and encompasses everything that Defiant is over the last 17 years of its turbulent existence and shapes the future of the things to come. It is our most focused work yet and a classic example of an EP with a strength of a full length." - says T.K. (vocals, lyrics) Kris (guitars, song writing) continues - "Definitely our most complex material so far that will not leave anyone indifferent. And a good introduction to what follows next.". Defiant is a death / black metal band from Croatia formed in 2005. On the last 2 albums they played melodic death metal, but after some changes in the band they decided to change their style to pure death / black metal. Defiant's debut album "The End of Beginning" was self-released in autumn 2006. In 2008 some new promo stuff was recorded for the upcoming album "Without Religion There Is No Fear", but because of some problems the band split-up. While everything was on hold, Defiant's founder Kris worked on some new music, more brutal than previous stuff. 2011 was a new beginning for the band; new blood was recruited and after a few shows with a new line-up, Defiant was ready for recording a new album in "Era Of Substitution", which was more extreme than previous works from the band. In 2012 Defiant signed for Grom Records. In 2015. Defiant recorded their third album "Morbid Spiritual Illness" with the new line up after a two-year break; the new album was recorded at Studio Armageddon. Also in 2015 and Defiant signed a contract with Swiss label Miner Recordings. In 2020 the band welcomed Zoran Stjepic on bass. The band co-released the split "Ways Ov Damnation" with the Hungarian black / death metal band Dvvad via Tortured Tree productions. January 2022 saw Defiant record material for their new album "Insurrection Icon" at Hellsound Studio, Czech Republic with new vocalist / lyricist Tomislav Kuternik. The new darker opus "Insurrection Icon" was unleashed May 25th via Spanish label Art Gates records. The album was met with rave reviews from international and local metal sites, proclaiming it to be the band's best album so far. In the same month the album was promoted on the "Insurrection in the East" tour, mainly across Eastern Europe with new drummer Sead Hadžić (ToxicDeath, Contusio). Due to Covid-19 Defiant entirely focuses on writing new material which spawned their first ever EP named "Vanguards Of Misrule" which will see the darkness of the day 26th June 2022. It is dedicated to LG Petrov from Entombed. The new album "Mammon Mantra" will be recorded in 2023 with special guests. DEFIANT ARE:

Hanging Garden comment:- "The album will dive deep in to atmospheres both tender and harsh, devilish and serene, embarking upon a journey to mankind's spiritual roots, and contemplation upon the fragility of our technological society. Stay tuned for more news." Agonia Records recent signees Hanging Garden incorporate doom, gothic and death metal with a melodic cut, wrapped in melancholy and a dark aura. English electro nu-core mob Seething Akira drop their latest fiery single "Punishment Instructions"2/6/2022 Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. Seething Akira continue to rampage forward with their gloriously turbulent nu-metal sound. Hot off the editorial success of their last album "Dysfunctional Wonderland" and with scheduled appearances at the Heavy Music Awards 2022 on June 5, Download Festival on June 9, and TECH-FEST on July 1st, comes the band's fiery latest single "Punishment Instructions." "'Punishment Instructions' expresses all facets, whether that be positive or negative, of hope, wish and desire," states Seething Akira. "The message expresses the loss of hope due to the uncontrollable actions of others. Punishment Instructions are the side effects of when these immoral actions are resisted." "Punishment Instructions" is a hard-hitting metal track that exemplifies everything fans love about the band. As the song's thought-provoking lyrics examine the effects of trying to resist when others are trying to strip all hope away from you, the heavy rhythms, featuring aggressive guitars, coupled with the aggressive vocals, only add fuel to the rebellious firestorm that is Seething Akira. Warning: This single may induce the urge to jump into your nearest mosh pit. Listen wisely, and use as directed. "Punishment Instructions" is out now from independent multi-genre music label FiXT. Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. Seething Akira have developed a gloriously turbulent sound that is uniquely their own. Founded by vocalists Charlie Bowes and Kit Conrad, Seething Akira are a 6-piece electronic nu-core band hailing from the seafront city of Portsmouth, UK that have been tearing venues apart across Europe with their powerful fusion of genres since 2012. The band's first full-length album, "Sleepy Skeletor", dropped in 2018 and made it clear that Seething Akira would be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. In late 2020, the band launched a series of new singles leading up to their second album, the highly anticipated "Dysfunctional Wonderland". With the strength of the band's music and their popularity with fans rocketing skyward, they connected with electronic rock label FiXT and forged a partnership for their future releases. Seething Akira has been featured on the Rock Hard Spotify editorial list, while their single "Firepower" landed on Kerrang Radio and Scuzz. "I Am The Devil" and "The Islander" were both featured on BBC Introducing, and "The Islander" premiered on Soundsphere Magazine. At home and on the road, Seething Akira have also put their stamp on staple festivals such as Bloodstock, Victorious, Camden Rocks, and many more while touring with bands like The Qemists and The Algorithm. The band dropped the latest album "Dysfunctional Wonderland" in late 2021 and plan to begin releasing new singles in mid 2022. Atlanta, Georgia-based mathcore group, The Callous Daoboys, will unleash their anticipated "Celebrity Therapist" full-length on September 2nd via MNRK Heavy together with Modern Static Records. Comprised of charismatic frontman Carson Pace, possessed like a young Mike Patton, fretboard abusing guitarists Maddie Caffrey and Dan Hodsdon, frantic bassist Jack Buckalew, destructive drummer Sam Williamson, and spirited violinist Amber Christman, The Callous Daoboys revive noise rock like they’re summoning the dead. The recklessly free-spirited collective deliver a vibrant combination of mathcore, sasscore, and post-hardcore -- a sound that is at once abrasive, chaotic, and classy. Revelling in high-strung extremity their music is dense, impenetrable, and chaotic yet confusingly inviting as each song deliriously swerves across stylistic lines. The band Kill Your Stereo called “insane, intricate, and impressive” introduced themselves to the underground with 2019’s "Die On Mars". Metal Injection insisted the group’s riotously explosive debut “is gonna make you punch everyone ever in the face” and they meant it in the best way possible. The music on Celebrity Therapist shockingly ups the ante with sadistic precision. Declares Pace:- “Celebrity Therapist speaks to sense for the senseless. Who guards the blind, and who leads? What do we have, if not foresight? Misattribute these lyrics. We’re all following someone’s voice. But listen, the world ended again today. We brought you flowers, and something new. We’re excited to share our new home with MNRK Heavy, amongst an incredible roster of artists. This record is the result of our most emotional process to date, and every member threw their life into its creation. We’re grateful to enable that risk with every step.” Every band claims to combine the most devastating of heavy riffs with the catchiest of melodies, but this crew does precisely that with a wrecking ball of unrestrained frenzy and total mayhem. The Callous Daoboys comes from the school of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, and The Chariot, with a heightened degree of theatricality as one of the methods to their madness. Think Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy getting slapped around good-naturedly by Glassjaw. Celebrity Therapist even indulges in a bit of drone and avant-garde post-rock a la Sigor Rós and Radiohead. Lyrically, contemplation and self-awareness run throughout Celebrity Therapist. “The whole album is about history repeating itself and how we kind of move in circles,” the singer notes. “It’s two steps forward and three steps back with a bunch of people in my life. The album is me reflecting on these people but realizing I’m guilty of the same at the end of the record. There are a lot of ‘fuck you’ songs because every heavy band likes writing those. But overall, the lyrics are more introspective and quite loving.” In advance of the record’s release, The Callous Daoboys have unveiled a video for “What Is Delicious? Who Swarms?,” now playing at Revolver. Watch the video HERE or by clicking the image below. Comments Pace:- “You can’t spot an angel-in-disguise, but you won’t refuse her. You’ve got a quick draw. The dust piles higher by the day/where you avert your eyes.” The Callous Daoboys:-
