British crossover thrashers SSS are due to kick off a mini tour tonight - Wednesday, October 10th - in Bristol, UK.
The "Overgrown" tour will see the band performing a string of shows in the UK, Belgium and Netherlands, including a performance at Bloodshed Fest in Eindhoven on October 13th. SSS front-man Foxy comments: "We have been underground writing new music. It's finally time to crack the crust from our eyes and get out and play it. We only like to tour when it's worthwhile. So a slew of new concrete skateparks, hectic European festivals and touring with Negative Approach are more than good enough reasons." SSS bassist Mark Magill adds: "Can't wait to get out on tour this week. A few shows on our own, then hitting the mighty Bloodshed fest to catch up with mates old and new, and finishing off with a run playing with Negative Approach. Perfect. The thing I'm most looking forward to is Glasgow - deep fried black pudding. It's been too long." See SSS on tour at the following shows: Oct. 10 - Bristol, UK - The Croft Oct. 11 - Brighton, UK - Prince Albert Oct. 12 - Tessenderlo, Belgium - JH Tessloo Oct. 13 - Eindhoven, Netherlands - Bloodshed Fest * Oct. 14 - Haarlem, Netherlands - Patronaat ** Oct. 15 - London, UK - The Underworld ** Oct. 16 - Manchester, UK - Star and Garter ** Oct. 17 - Glasgow, UK - Ivory Blacks ** * w/ DROPDEAD and WOLFBRIGADE ** w/ NEGATIVE APPROACH and PUNCH SSS will be documenting their tour on Instagram with the username SSS_Liverpool. http://www.facebook.com/pages/SSS/25566333929 http://twitter.com/sssliverpool http://sssliverpool.blogspot.com

Forcentury sign to Mighty Music & release album. Malrun launch new music video & Eurotour.10/10/2012 The Danish melodic heavy metal band Forcentury have signed with Mighty Music and will release their second opus “Revelant” on December 3rd 2012. Forcentury embraces music from power metal to progressive metal with an unmistakable classic rock twist that draw inspirations from both the 80's pioneers (such as Iron Maiden and Helloween) and the contemporary inheritors (such as Symphony X and Pagan's Mind). The quintet has existed for four years now and from day one a solid work ethic has been their core value – along with great passion for the music that they play. The complex compositions including twin guitars and soaring keyboards, yet always with a thread running through it, are tied together by the distinct classical AOR-sounding, forceful, vibrating vocal of the lead singer Johnn Thunder. The lyrics reveal issues such as the flaws of society, state of the world and the imperfection of man. The new album “Relevant” is recorded and engineered at the Copenhagen-based Earplug Studio (Mercyful Fate, Hank Shermann’s Demonica, Force of Evil, Fate, Pitchblack, Iron Fire, etc.). It has been mixed and produced at Denmark’s legendary Medley Studios by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza, Mike Tramp, Artillery, Oliver Weers, etc.). The artwork for “Revelant” has been made by Swedish artist Monowasp and is a continuation of the landscape, machinery and mood of the cover art from the debut album. Check out the track “Seal of the Sinner” from “Relevant” right here. Tracklist: 1. Seal of the sinner (6:51) 2. Outcast (7:23) 3. Ashen (4:08) 4. The shroud (7:08) 5. Repercussions of terror (8:56) 6. Beyond recognition (6:13) 7. Safe haven (5:36) 8. The lust, the desire and the temptation (8:07) 9. The reductionist (5:17) 10. Changing ways (8:49) www.facebook.com/forcentury www.forcentury.com Denmark’s new promise, Malrun, is now ready with a music video for the song “Shadowborn” from their latest album, the critically acclaimed “The Empty Frame”. Malrun combines metal, melodic rock and groovy riffs in a modern and refreshing way and “Shadowborn” is yet another example of this unique blend. The video project has been carried out in cooperation with young Copenhagen film makers who intended to focus on the story rather than making a classic metal head-banging video. The video was shot mainly at night in an abandoned amusement park that went bankrupt years ago where all carousels and ferris wheels etc. have been left in the amusement park as they were for years and are now completely rusty in a ghost-like landscape where nature has started to take over what was man made. The video features the established Danish actor Rudy Köhnke in the lead role playing a disillusioned father who has been involved in an accident at CERN, while the band itself merely appears as side characters in the video.

Brandan Schieppati of Bleeding Through) is now available for digital download on iTunes. The Pennsylvanian metal outfit deliver a brand new lyric video for the single, which the band premiered earlier today. Just in time for halloween, the video offers a combination of clips from horror movies, spliced with live footage from Motionless In White's sold out London, UK show last month. "If It's Dead, We'll Kill It" is featured on their highly-anticipated new album 'Infamous', set to release November 13th. Get more information about the album at: MotionlessInWhite.net/Infamous "If It's Dead, We'll Kill It" was written about my disgust for people in the world who have developed this sense of entitlement that they think gives them the right to dictate standards others need to live by. I'm more specifically talking about the beauty standard," Lead singer, Chris Motionless explains. "I asked my hero Brandan Schiepatti from Bleeding Through to scream along with me on this song. He and his lyrics have always been what I've looked to for guidance and influence when I felt lost, so I am hoping to do the same for others out there. This song means more to me than anyone can understand. I'm coming for you mother fuckers." Read more about "If It's Dead, We'll Kill It" Gaining a reputation for constantly challenging the concept of "playing it safe", Motionless In White are unafraid to make music as intense as it is intricate. Having built upward from the success of their debut album 'Creatures', which has sold over 50,000 copies, the band's ability to interweave powerful lyrics and strong musicianship with striking imagery has captivated both fans and media around the globe. To follow-up their sold out UK headline tour, the band are gearing up for their first North American headliner this November / December, and will return overseas on a UK run with Asking Alexandria in early 2013. MOTIONLESS IN WHITE Chris Motionless (vocals) Ricky Horror (guitar) Angelo Parente (drums) Ryan Sitkowski (guitar) Balz (keys), Ghost (bass) From underground heroes to internationally acclaimed act, hotly-tipped rockers Motionless In White have slayed audiences worldwide. The band has been featured on the cover of Kerrang! Magazine, and has gained coverage from Revolver, FEARnet, Kerrang!, INKED, Bloody Disgusting, OUTBURN, Tattoo Magazine, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, and more. With the release of their controversial video for the single "Immaculate Misconception", featuring Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, the video was named by AOL Noisecreep as one of the Top Ten Heavy Metal Videos of 2011, and FEARnet's Most Shocking Music Video of 2011. Frontman Chris Motionless also appeared on the cover of Alternative Press this summer, and on TLC's reality tattoo show, NY Ink. Armed with their highly-anticipated second album Infamous, the scintillating sextet defiantly strides into a new era, ready to take the spotlight --- and truly make their mark. In less than two years time, the band has already headlined three UK / European runs, toured Canada multiple times, crisscrossed the US countless times with the likes of We Came As Romans, August Burns Red, Silverstein, Norma Jean and more, and even ventured to China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and is traveling back to the US today from a string of festival shows in Japan. The band will kick off their next US run - The Unshakeable Tour, this Thursday, October 11th in St. Petersburg, FL, w/ For Today, Impending Doom, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot and Hundredth. All upcoming tour dates can all be seen below. Texas In July recently partnered with Revolver Magazine for the advance streaming debut of the band’s new full-length album. The self-titled album can be streamed in its entirety at RevolverMag.com and is now available via Equal Vision Records through iTunes Amazon, MerchNOW and at retail stores such as FYE and Hot Topic. The explosive new album was recorded with Will Putney [For Today, Chiodos, Life Moths To Flames] at the Machine Shop Studios in Belleville, NJ. Frontman Alex Good, the band’s youngest member at just 20 years old, leads the pack, offering his most diverse and in-your-face vocal delivery to date on 'Texas In July'. Good is impeccably backed with a balanced blend of crushing breakdowns, ongoing onslaught of fast-paced, unforgettable riffs from duel guitarists Christian Royer and Chris Davis, driving bass grooves of Witkowski, and of course - the always admirable technical prowess of drummer Adam Gray. 'Texas In July' is the follow up to the metal quintet’s sophomore full-length album and Equal Vision Records debut, One Reality, which was released on April 26th, 2011. The album premiered at No. 3 on the Billboard New Artist/Heatseekers Chart and also placed on the Billboard 200, Rock, Independent, and Hard Rock charts. The seven-track album, which will be the band’s debut full length and a follow up to 2008’s MCD “Alone”, is to be titled “Erotik Nekrosis” and will appear on Agonia Records on the 28th November in Europe and the 5th February in the USA. “Erotik Nekrosis” has a line up of musicians who between them can lay claim to decades of experience garnered in the earlier and darker recesses of the Norwegian Black Metal scene and which includes Morten Shax on vocals, the late Trondr Nefas (Urgehla, etc) and Mattis Malphas (Beastcraft) on guitars, Sregroth (Urghehal, Asmegin) on bass and Carl Balam (Nattefrost, etc) on drums. It was recorded at the Slaughterhaus Studio in Oslo and crafted by the Hollywood producer Robert Blix.
Artwork is by the Kazakhstani artist Alexandr Balinets. Track listing for “Erotik Nekrosis” as follows: 1) Junkyard Oblivion 2) Enigma of the Sullen 3) Against Them All 4) Swansong of a Giant 5) Hollow 6) Krossing Rubikon 7) Soulcleansing Commenting on “Erotik Nekrosis” and the delays that dogged the album, including the tragic and untimely death of Trondr Nefas, founder and frontman Shax had this to say: “After delays that almost seem to have been a series of malicious and morbid curses conspiring against us, it is with understandable relief that we can finally get “Erotik Nekrosis” out there. The reasons for the delay are legion, and it is probably best just to say that the path of darkness is a troubled and mysterious journey through life and there’s an intensity to the sickness that accompanies it which can only be dealt with over short periods of time. Sadly, too, it is impossible to predict the season that Death will gather its harvest, and we lost Trondr Nefas - our close friend, our brother and our guitarist, under tragic circumstances. It’s been 5 years since we released “Alone” so it’s definitely time for ENDEZZMA to turn the page on what went before and move forward. I know many people have been waiting and waiting for this album, and some probably gave up along the way, but I hope we will not let down all of the patient morbid souls. This album is for all of the individuals that stayed true to the band, all of you who never stopped waiting. “Erotik Nekrosis” is dedicated to Death and to you Trondr!” More information about Endezzma can be found at http://www.facebook.com/endezzma “Erotik Nekrosis” can be pre-ordered from Agonia Records at http://www.agoniarecords.home.pl/index.php?pos=shop&lang=en§ion=search&what=erotik+nekrosis&x=0&y=0 Three tracks from ENDEZZMA’s “Alone” MCD can be heard here: Yes it's that time again, the heating in our homes are going up as outside the coldness snaps at everything it can, water bodies freeze over, the seasonal colds get there weapons out to attack us with runny noses, and all the icky bits that come with it. As for our fellow Southern hemisphere followers, it's your summer (lucky sods) and so you'll be eating at Christmas in the basking sunshine, what a strange feeling for us Northern hemisphere folks people, we wonder if you had Christmas on the equator, would you get both seasons? Anyhow focusing back on the metal, we thought it would be best to get the wintry festivities underway and instead of putting up a compilation of just Christmassy metal songs (1. its not Christmas... yet and 2. you can already get CD compilations here, here and here. So let's open this pit up as Global Metal Apocalypse devours 'Winter Metal' and gives you a selection of songs. First off we kick with Dutch Symphonic Gothic Metallers Within Temptation, with their song 'shot in the dark', now the reason we chose this song and band is simply due to the emphatic vocals on the song giving that beautiful powerful sound that we can relate to the blizzards that we have had in the past and plus the dark winter nights start early and thus tying in with the song title. Secondly we move on to Finland with Amberian Dawn and their spine-chilling song 'River Of Tuoni', the song delivers Melodic Power Metal/Operatic Metal with ease and smothers the atmosphere with the beauty found in traditional Finnish winters, cold and graceful. Further on we felt that another Finnish band should be here, Sonata Arctica with their song 'Don't say a word', powerful and yet the keyboards add a little wintry feel to them. This compilation would not be complete without a band from an obscure metal scene and yet is most loosely-jointed to the theme of this compilation, yet experience the unique sounds of Heavy Metal mixing with the Inuit language as Greenland's Heavy Metal premier band Arctic Spirits deliver seasonal brutality with 'Assiliarsuaq'. Probably the darkest song on this compilation, hailing from Ipswich, the Military Black Metal mob Eastern Front deliver this cold, bleak and wintry number called 'Blood On Snow' as a testament to the atrocities occurred between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia; sure it's not as merry as previous songs but given due this will leave your ears frostbitten. Without a doubt, Austria's greatest Gothic Metal band and here we present their song 'metatron' which features very dark and wintry feelings in the music as well as the atmosphere generated from the yodeling-style female vocals. This is a song to rival the shadows cloaking the alpine forests and to take you into a complete sub zero state-of-mind. We could simply not let this slip our minds, such a beautiful, tranquil and majestic instrumental that would befit anyone celebrating burns night or indeed any Celtic or Pagan traditions, delivering their cleverly produced sound is Eluveitie from the alpine lands of Switzerland (same as Breach The Void), but we felt that this was more apt to include and so therefore we hope you enjoy this track. So what happens when you mix Chinese melodies with a icy and frosty elemental feel with the norms of European Melodic Death Metal performed by Frosty Eve of China? Simple a winter metal band! This is one of few metal bands who devote their sounds and lyrics to the winter season and yet mix traditional sounds into their music, so on one hand experience the oriental culture and on the other prepare to meet a Frosty Eve. A dark and bitter cold band from Norway, Gothminister mix eerie electronic industrial elements with Gothic imagery and together they form a sound that is as freezing as the Norwegian fjords at winter, henceforth we decided to include this on our winter metal compilation. We know how dramatic winter's can be, so why not inject some dramatic metal music into it, sure it's a cover of 'O Fortuna' by German composer Carl Orff. But here is Venezuela's Nota Profana delivering that dramatic sound of metal and classical music combining to create something rather epic. Latvia's darkest metal band could not escape our selection, enter Preternatural with their cold 'Cryophobia' track, which literally means 'a fear of dying from the cold or winter, or the cold or winter itself', so the reason why it was included is a little self-explanatory. Another instrumental and yet 'The Northern Lights' by Faroese Folk Metal lads Tyr immerse the atmosphere in a truly Scandinavian feel and thus it's this tie between Scandinavia and the winters they have that we felt this should be there. Finally we thought we would include this beastly number by Swedish Death Metal horde Unleashed, the song 'midvinterblot' in english means 'midwinter time' and thus refers to the harshest times of the season, ironically when christmas is a-foot and the yule-time is coming to a close before the new year elapses the current year of 2012.
We included a song from each different country here represented; Finland would run away with this for the amount of apt songs they have is sensational. Downfall Of Gaia have just released the second song from their new album, 'Suffocating In The Swarm Of Cranes!'

There's also nice packages available including the double gatefold vinyl, a Digi-CD and an exclusive T-Shirt! Comments Downfall Of Gaia: "The concept album "Suffocating In The Swarm Of Cranes" is telling a story about a person who falls victim to his thoughts and becomes consumed by the pressures of the outside world. Suffering from insomnia, the day by day routine and the security that things are completely out of control nowadays, all of this puts so much pressure on him that he is slowly losing his mind. It's a huge story about a person and the sickness, his state of mind and how his psychological conscience develops. This story is representative for a more and more fast moving time such as today where it's way too easy to lose control and to get buried by the growing weights on our own backs. Compared to our last releases, we've got the most mixed style on the new album and it has a lot of dynamic. It's more aggressive than the other stuff. It still has influences from sludge, black metal, doom, hardcore or post rock parts. It's a wide range of music which makes all of us feel really comfortable!" 'Suffocating In The Swarm Of Cranes' track listing: 1. [vulnus] 2. Drowning By Wing Beats 3. In the Rivers Bleak 4. I Fade Away 5. Beneath The Crown Of Cranes 6. Giving Their Heir to the Masses 7. [asphyxia] "DOWNFALL OF GAIA is the soundtrack to a volcanic eruption! Eerily beautiful like a flow of fiery lava and black ash - an ominous, atmospheric maelstrom of Neurosis and Wolves In The Throne Room." "Hailing from Germany, these folks really know how to push the limits of a song and drive it in all emotions and musical dynamics!" cvltnation.com "Downfall of Gaia traverse more harrowing emotion than many bands do in their entire discographies. Both intensely atmospheric and relentlessly hard-hitting, the band takes hardcore fundamentals and pushes them to emotional extremes, flickering between fragility and ferocity". Comments AntropomorphiA singer / guitarist Ferry Damen on the song: "When we were recording vocals we invited our good friend Eclipse (Verbum Verus, ex-Sauron) to add some demented screams of suffering to the track 'Impure Desecration'. After this track was draped with eternal sickness I started to work on 'Anointment by Sin', a track that is part of the second chapter and basically handles about one of the female figures who gets murdered by her religiously obsessed husband who thinks of her and her new born flesh as unpure after she shared some perversive sexual acts with a woman, she believes is the true love of her life. Eclipse really liked this murder tale and added some vocals on this track as well…with crushing result" AntropomorphiA's 'Evangelivm Nekromantia' will be released October 22nd via Metal Blade Records in the UK on CD and LP http://antropomorphia-official.com/ http://www.facebook.com/AntropomorphiA http://www.youtube.com/AntropomorphiA http://soundcloud.com/antropomorphia Between The Buried And Me unveil the first official video from the North Carolina band's epic new album, 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence' (Oct. 8, Metal Blade Records), for "Astral Body" premiering here: http://www.altpress.com/aptv/video/video_premiere_between_the_buried_and_me_astral_body
The visually stunning four-minute clip was directed by Wes Richardson and builds upon the story laid out in 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues' (2011 EP) and the forthcoming, 12-track concept album 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence'. "Quote from Tommy explaining how the video ties into the overarching story of The Parallax," explains singer/songwriter Tommy Rogers. "Words words words."
