Formed back in 2012 in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona) with an average age of 15 and currently 20 - except new vocalist Albert (ex-Fuck Off), who is 30 - No Amnesty began to play their first local shows until, in April 2013, they recorded their debut EP, A New Order For Attack. In 2015, the band recruited Pol as new drummer, and in 2016, due to the departure of bassist & vocalist David, the band added Albert (vocals) and Mija (bass) to complete the lineup as a five-piece. In early 2017, No Amnesty entered Ax Studios to record their debut album, Psychopathy, and in late summer of the same year got signed to Xtreem Music for the release of the album, a nine-song opus of intense, varied, fresh, and aggressive thrash metal that follows the steps of local masters like Crisix and Aggression. Ambitious Indian band Fragarak from New Delhi have come up with an album of epic proportions. Featuring Louis Rando of Impiety on drums, they've fabricated elaborate songs that are both atmospheric and suspenseful. Their first album was groundbreaking in its vision, but with 'A Spectral Oblivion' they've truly proved their worth. This is a statement of sorts that bands from this part of the world too can come up with music that's original. Though steeped in classic death metal, they've done well to expand upon that style and add their own aura of mysticism and intrigue. Albums like these probably won't ever be replicated, but there's enough material here to last a while. The concept album, consisting of 14 tracks, will be released worldwide in early 2018 on Japanese label Red Rivet Records. The band has repeatedly noted that they got an unexpected result due to the huge number of musical experiments. “Obviously, this album has a lot of jazz influences. Our guest musicians did an excellent job! So far, this is our most serious work for us. It’s more progressive than a symphonic metal album. And we’re happy about that!"- Emphasis said. LP "Soul Transfer" was recorded at StoneOil Studio (Kivioli, Estonia) by Pavel Korotaev, guitarist, and songwriter of Emphasis. 5 guest musicians also took part in the work on the album, including well-known Estonian jazzmen Raul Sööt (saxophone) and Allan Järve (trumpet), blues guitarist Oleg Lyutskevich (Moscow, Russia), violoncellist Alexandr Smirnov and violinist Julia Mets. “Soul Transfer” is totally concept album: the story of a man, his fate and enticing prospects of eternal life in the context of global digitalization. Female fronted progressive metal act Emphasis was formed in 2010 in Estonia, a small country in Northern Europe, by bassist Katya Gritskova and guitarist Pavel Korotaev. Their music is a mix of classical harmonies, heavy guitar riffs and powerful operatic vocals of their gorgeous front lady Anna Ganina. For the last five years, the band played dozens of shows in Baltics and Finland. Their debut full-length album "Revival" was released in spring 2016 under Italian label Underground Symphony and received a lot of positive reviews. Red Rivet Records was founded in early 2009 in Japan. Red Rivet Records worked with a lot of metal bands from over the globe as a distributor, organizing Japanese tours as a promoter so far. https://www.facebook.com/Emphasis.Estonia/ Norwegian melodic and groovy death metal combo Mecalimb have signed a distribution deal with Wormholedeath for the worldwide release of their new album "XIII". Release Dates Digital 17th November 2017 (Wormholedeath/The Orchard) US 17th November 2017 (Aural Music Group) Cd 08th December 2017 (Wormholedeath U.S.A.) Japan 28th February 2018 (Wormholedeath Japan/Disk Union Music Distribution) Mecalimb was formed in 2005, when a group of friends in Fredrikstad, Norway, decided to start a metal band, in the vein of bands such as Pantera and In Flames, groove oriented metal with melodic elements. Ole Olsen (guitar) were the main songwriter at the time, and the only member left of the original lineup today. After some gigs in Oslo and demo recordings in 2006, the line-up changed when the bass player and drummer quit the band. During 2006-2007, Dag Kopperud (bass) and Marius Pettersen (drums) joined. Things started to escalate with the band, and in 2008, the first album was recorded, “Mechanical Recipe”, followed by a video release of the song “Still Alive”. Mecalimb got airtime on Norwegian radio broadcast (P3) and played several gigs, up until 2010. At the start of 2010, the original vocalist, Raymond Gammelsrud, and second guitarist Torben Svendsen, quit the band. A new vocalist was hired in March 2010, Kenneth Liljegren. After the summer of 2010, the band signed with Rising Records (London) to produce a second album, which came out in early 2011, “Bound To Fall”. The band hired Robin Larsen as a second guitarist. In addition to more gigs in Norway, including support for Jorn (ex-Masterplan), the band got to play at Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria, in late 2011, and also a support gig with Susperia. In 2012, Kenneth Liljegren left the band, and Mecalimb once again needed to change vocalist. In came Stephan Hay, and the band started to change into a more thrashy/melodic death metal influenced style. After this, there were a long hiatus/writing phase up until December 2013, when local thrash legends, Witchhammer, did a split gig with Mecalimb in Sarpsborg. At the concert, because of health reasons, Tom Angel replaced Robin Larsen on lead guitar. Tom Angel then replaced Robin as a full-time member in early 2013. The band recorded “Chaos EP” in March 2013, released at Oak Metal Festival in August the same year, playing with bands such as Witchhammer and Circus Maximus. More gigs in Norway followed, until the start of 2015, when Stephan Hay left the band. After some months, Robert Arntsen from Gothenburg, Sweden, joined the band. A new writing process started, and during the summer, the band started recording the third album, “XIII”, followed by several concerts with bands such as Tankard, Entrails, Enslaved, Triosphere, Mindtech etc. In the fall of 2016, black metal legends Ragnarok brought Mecalimb as support on their “Psychopathology” Europe tour, playing in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Mecalimb is currently in the writing process of a new album release. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming concept album Decameron. Stream the video here: https://www.decibelmagazine.com/2017/10/25/track-premiere-throne-heresy-liber-secretorum/ The band commented ""Liber Secretorum" takes it's name from the book "Liber Secretorum Eventuum" by John de Rupescissa who foretold the coming of the Antichrist in the 14th century. He was jailed for heresy but managed to survive the Black Death and finished writing the "Liber" while imprisoned. This is one of the most atmospheric tracks on the album. The churning mid-pace of the track conveys a sense of oncoming doom that is resolved in the final part, which is probably the heaviest riff on the entire album. Our video producer Guilherme Henriques did a great job in capturing the bleak morbidity of the track and creating a perfect visual companion for it."
