Swedish extremists Third Storm have unleashed a new track from their upcoming full-length album, A Grand Manifestation. The song, titled "As the Stars Watched the Birth of Eternity," is a scathingly violent example of the old-school black/death onslaught fans can expect from A Grand Manifestation. Stream "As the Stars Watched the Birth of Eternity" at https://youtu.be/D8oEoOCZJtw. An intense hybrid of black, death, doom and thrash, A Grand Manifestation is the continuation of 2015's Taritiya Me, a two-song, 26-minute EP that welcomed Third Storm back from a decades-long hiatus. Third Storm will release A Grand Manifestation November 9 on Dark Descent Records. www.thirdstorm.nu www.facebook.com/thirdstorm www.darkdescentrecords.com darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com www.facebook.com/DarkDescentRecords Romanian new age melodic metallers Scarlet Aura have premiered today their second video "Fallin' to Pieces" exclusively on Metalheads Forever, Alpha Omega’s partner since February 2018. The song is taken from the bands new album “Hot’n’Heavy”, coming out via Sliptrick Records on December 11th. The video was premiered on Metalheads Forever, at this location. http://www.mhf-mag.com/news/scarlet-aura-to-release-second-video-fallin-to-pieces-from-the-new-album-hotnheavy/ Check it here:- https://youtu.be/LBGZk5pms0E The video was filmed during the first leg of the “Hot’n’Heavy Album Release Tour”, “Fallin’ to Pieces” presents touching ballad on the edge of hard rock and metal. Starting with eerie sound the song develops into powerful song full of despair and somewhat anger. Aura Danciulescu’s voice together with outstanding guitar performance by Mihai Danciulescu won’t leave anyone indifferent. “It's a heartbreaking song, with a heartbreaking video that comes as a reminder to always cherish what we have, every second, to be thankful for the love we receive, cause you never know what future can bring!”, explains Aura. https://www.facebook.com/scarletaura https://scarletaura.net https://alphaomega-management.com www.facebook.com/OfficialAlphaOmegaManagement The promising symphonic/alternative metal band from Coimbra, Secret Chord, have just released an official music video for a new original song, entitled “Wraith Of Oblivion”, that will be included on their first full-length record. Little more than a year after releasing their debut EP “Dimensions Of A Dream”, Secret Chord astonish their fans with a brand new song. “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the title of their most recent composition, revealed last September 8th. The new song’s music video, already available on YouTube, was recorded by Marta Malva in Tentúgal (Coimbra) and Amieira (Soure) and directed and produced by Bruno Vale (PubliTV). The recording, mixing and masterization was done by João Dourado at Golden Jack Studios, in Coimbra. You can watch the video at this location: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycEVbl1OAQ “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the follow-up to Secret Chord’s dramatic and melancholic approach in their music about the world they live in, a concept started with “Dimensions Of A Dream”, the four-track debut EP released on April 2017, from which the single “Set The Firestarter Ablaze” stands out due to the theme of forest fires. With “Wraith Of Oblivion”, the band intends to demonstrate that, in today’s society, every single person is compelled to accept an imposed destiny – albeit subconsciously – becoming a product of the status quo and “social normalization”. With a powerful sound and a strong melodic support, Secret Chord continues with their symphonic metal path in “Wraith Of Oblivion”, adding some electronic elements, but always with demolishing and pulsing guitars leading the song’s progression. Raquel Subtil’s voice is once again the main attraction, having reached a whole new level of execution and interpretation, easily demonstrated by the vocal work performed during the recordings, joined by Carlos Pereira and his contrasting and aggressive contribution. The song “Wraith Of Oblivion” is currently a part of Secret Chord’s live set. The most recent gig was in September 6th, during their hometown’s annual handicraft festival “Poiartes 2018”, where they were featured as the main act in a concert that had the special participation of the mixed choir from “Sociedade Filarmónica Lousanense” and the keyboardist João Carlos Ramalheiro, teacher and director at the “Classplash” music academy from Lousã. On October 6th, Secret Chord will be sharing the stage with Henriette B (Switzerland), Shady Gringos (UK) and portuguese bands like The Temple and Tales For The Unspoken at the “Rock dos Romanos” festival, in Condeixa-a-Nova. On their curriculum, Secret Chord counts with gigs at venues like Metalpoint (Porto), Stairway Club (Cascais), Massas Club (Coimbra) and Cabra Negra (Marinha Grande) and shared the stage with bands like Switchtense, Midnight Priest, Terror Empire, 11th Dimension, Inner Blast and Waterland. In November of 2017, they won the first edition of ASMUSITEC Band Contest. Secret Chord’s sound sits between symphonic and alternative metal with clear references to bands like Nightwish, Epica, Delain and Kamelot or even Evanescence and Lacuna Coil. Secret Chord is a Portuguese symphonic metal band, from Coimbra, that was formed in 2015 by Raquel Subtil on main vocals, Jorge Oliveira on guitars and back vocals, Bruno “EkID” Marques on bass guitar and back vocals and Afonso Martins on drums. In 2016, João Conceição (Stigma Sphere) took the role of lead guitarist, right when the recordings for their debut EP “Dimensions Of A Dream” started. This record was released in April 15th 2017, exactly one year after their first live appearance. During the spring of 2017, Secret Chord suffers a line-up change with Jorge’s exit. Carlos Pereira (Mortem Tales, Dark Oath) took his place as rhythm guitarist and back vocalist. At the start of 2018 and after showing their work at several venues around the country, the band decides that it was time to record a new song and a music video. “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the title of the new single, released in September 8th 2018, that will be included on their future full-length record. Today, the band unveils a first video for "Wilder" on YouTube. "Wilder" is Hell In Town's first video outing since their 2014 "Back In The Mud". Its disturbing aesthetics take their cue from 80s/90s horror flicks, thanks to a partial VHS filming by French video-maker Singkipoo. 3Wilder" was shot in the summer of 2017, with a guest appearance from Lea N'kaoua aka Lady Burn. Watch Hell In Town's haunting "Wilder" video at this location Surfacing from the muck and bathed in flames over the great Garonne river, Hell In Town is an historical entity of the Bordeaux metal scene. Conjuring their strong southern roots to produce a groove-laden brand of Heavy, this riff machine is characterized by the powerful and husky vocals of its bassist and founder Matt DMS. Chapter after chapter, this new album takes you into the mind of a dark magus devoted to a ritual watch of Humans. Voodoo, divination, animist witchcraft, mass control: "Bones" poetically brings up stories full of mysticism, while subtly depicting the kind of ordeals the band has gone through since its inception ten years ago. Hell In Town’s firepower is now heightened, down-times are non-existent, for a southern/sludge metal offering that will grab you by the guts. "Bones" can be seen as a transitional record that breathes a wind of change for the pioneer outfit of the French Southern metal scene. The phoenix rises from a pile of buried bones, stronger than ever… "Bones" is out now on CD via vapocalypse.fr and on all digital platforms. It was mixed by Matt DMS, mastered at El Mobo Concrete Studio. Artwork was designed by Ero Cyco. The CD version shall be released internationally on October 17th, while the vinyl version shall follow in early December. And today, Decibel magazine streams the whole album in its entirety. Hear Outre-Tombe's Nécrovortex in its entirety exclusively HERE. To the band’s credit, Outre-Tombe have not attempted to flood the underground with useless releases; over the course of their eight-year existence, the band has released a single demo and two albums, all of which are meticulously written, performed, and recorded. This methodical approach to their work is part of what sets Outre-Tombe apart from the majority of their peers. With this album, Outre-Tombe continue to sharpen their sound, which faithfully captures the essence of late '80s and early '90s death metal. Outre-Tombe’s influences are no secret—they clearly draw inspiration from bands such as Grave, Nihilist, Asphyx, and Pestilence—but rattling off a list of classic death metal influences doesn’t do justice to the impact that Outre-Tombe achieve with their music, a sound that is as relentless as it is morbid. The songs on Nécrovortex are generally aggressive and pummelling, leaving the listener with little or no respite from the assault, but even at breakneck speed, there’s a compositional intricacy on display. These songs reveal the aural machinations of horror and death through riffs that are coordinated, precisely carved and chiselled, and surgically sutured together, tightly, with no room for error. The production is just crisp enough to allow the instrumentation to stand out, permitting the listener to grasp the many memorable riffs around which each track is constructed. The vocals are also unique. Bassist and vocalist Crachat captures the guttural essence of the French language with his vocals, disgorged and spewed across the tracks. Like every element of the band’s sound, the vocals are insistent, commanding attention. Lyrically, the band focuses on horror and the macabre, but with a rare degree of sophistication. For those capable of deciphering French, the imagery conjured by the lyrics is extraordinarily vivid and perfectly suited for the music. Completing the overall presentation of Nécrovortex is cover art masterfully created by Matt “Putrid” Carr. It is, therefore, with tremendous honour that Temple of Mystery Records presents Outre-Tombe’s second offering on black vinyl, as well as a limited die-hard coloured vinyl edition. (description by Jason Campbell) Since 2016 the German Death Metal Institution Dawn Of Disease has been a part of the Napalm Records family, releasing two very strong albums in this relatively short period: "Worship The Grave" and "Ascension Gate” (which reached # 46 in the official German charts. Through numerous shows supporting the likes Amon Amarth, Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Powerwolf, Sodom and At The Gates as well as appearances at festivals including Wacken Open Air, Rock Hard Festival, Party.San Open Air, Metal Hammer Paradise, Rockharz Festival, Metal On The Hill and Summer Breeze Open Air, Dawn of Disease has gained attention far beyond the borders of their home country. Now the band has signed a new contract, which will strengthen the existing partnership and guarantee further great releases. The Band comments as follows:- "We are very happy to have Napalm Records as a strong and reliable partner at our side in the coming years, supporting us in every way possible. Since the release of 'Worsphip The Grave', which in 2016 was a new and important step in the history of Dawn Of Disease after a four-year release break, we have grown more and more together with Napalm Records. With the signing of a new contract we can already look forward to a future that will give all of you Death Metal maniacs out there more wrecking balls with a melodic taste!" Napalm Records adds:- "Dawn Of Disease is the Death Metal flagship! We are very glad to have re-signed the contract! Be sure there’s a lot to come in the near future!” Dawn Of Disease are currently writing songs for their next album, which will be released next year on Napalm Records. www.facebook.com/DawnOfDisease www.dawnofdisease.com Japanese black metalpunks Sex Messiah stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Eastern Cult of Sodomy, at heavily trafficked web-portal CVLTNation.com. Set for international release on October 15th via Nuclear War Now! Productions for the vinyl LP format - the CD version is currently available - hear Sex Messiah's Eastern Cult of Sodomy in its entirety exclusively HERE. Over the last decade, the Japanese underground metal/punk phenomenon Sex Messiah have produced a series of impressive demos and EPs, firmly establishing their wretched presence in the Japanese underground. In addition to the scattered releases they’ve left behind, Sex Messiah have also become well known for the savagery of their live performances. Following the 2016 vinyl release by Nuclear War Now! of a previously nearly impossible-to-obtain split tour CD with the band’s Brazilian confederates Impurity, Sex Messiah turned their attention to producing their debut full-length LP for NWN! At last, after ten years of developing and refining their sound, Sex Messiah presents Eastern Cult of Sodomy. With this album, Sex Messiah have perfected their style, which defies easy categorization, but might be considered an amalgamation of Brazilian black/death such as Sextrash and Impurity, Japanese punk like GISM and Lip Cream, and the occasional riff that hints of evil thrash and early black metal like Sodom or Japan's Sabbat. One might be tempted to think that such a diverse array of influences would turn to mush when mixed; however, Sex Messiahhave proven themselves more than capable of weaving together disparate sounds in the service of something more powerful and thereby avoid sounding derivative and dull. Indeed, Sex Messiah is undeniably pure in the violence of their intent—the songs are succinct, relentless, and abrasive but offer a broad spectrum of textural and atmospheric elements. The ability to simultaneously cultivate ominous atmosphere around the violent core of Sex Messiah’s songs lends the album a unique character, and the writing is diverse such that no riff feels forced or redundant. One facet of the band that sets it apart from many of its contemporaries—although it may also be considered a nod to the aforementioned GISM—is the use of industrial noise intros and interludes. It, therefore, comes as no surprise that Moenos, guitarist and founding member of the band, also has a solo project for her “Satanic Blacknoise”—as she refers to it—which bears resemblance to the noisier passages on the album. With this release, Sex Messiah has perfected their message and stands poised to extend the band’s influence, summoning more adherents to the Eastern cult.
