Norwegian black metallers Ragnarok have today unveiled a new video for a track from their upcoming ninth studio album, "Non Debellicata", which is due out on November 15th on Agonia Records
The video, for the track "Chapel Of Shadows" features footage from the band's 2019 performance at Norway's Inferno Festival and can be seen at https://youtu.be/qSzAfgTDtpo
For over two decades the seasoned veterans have been giving fans their uncompromising take on Norwegian Black Metal, both in the studio and on stage, and, for with their latest album, Ragnarok's entire line-up of founder and frontman Jontho, guitarist Bolverk, bassist Rammr and drummer Malignant, have had a significant input.
Recorded in Sweden's Endarker Studio, with Marduk's Devo at the helm, and with artwork by Nestor Avalos and photos by Arash Taheri, "Non Debellicata" will be available in Jewel Case CD, Limited Edition Digipack CD (with bonus track), Digital, and both Red and Black Vinyl editions and is now available to pre-order from https://www.agoniarecords.com/ragnarok
The band recently had this to say about their ninth full-length album:
"Our new album, "Non Debellicata", is the result of an extensive process in which all the members of the band participated creatively, both musically and lyrically. We put a lot of work into this album to make it as extreme and violent as we possibly could, pushing the borders of our musicianship and song writing skills. Originally we started out with 20 songs, out of which we rehearsed 16 and whittled it down to 13 for recording. We eventually chose 10 for inclusion on the album, because we wanted to ensure the highest possible quality of every song."
As for the title itself:
"'Non Debellicata' refers to a phrase used as the motto for our home town Saropsborg in the olden days. It is taken from a letter Jarl Alv Erlingsson sent to the Scottish Government in 1286. Aside from being a nobleman and the Jarl (Earl) of Sarpsborg, Alv was also an infamous pirate who was in the habit of robbing Danish and German merchant ships.
The Scottish Government had confiscated a number of Norwegian ships and Jarl Alv wrote them a letter, in which he said that maybe they were under the impression that Norway was weak after being at war for several years. But assured them that they would learn that the Norwegian people were not weakened by the war and would never be defeated."
NON DEBELLICATA. The people of Norway would never give up - and neither will RAGNAROK!"
Canadian Modern Metallers Juliet Ruin premiere 'Fight To Win' lyric video and announce Jinjer support dates
Edmonton, AB's Juliet Ruin recently released their first full-length album "Old Stardust, Love and Chaos" on September 6, 2019 to follow their 2017 debut self titled EP. The release promises to be more technical with heavy instrumentation, including some dabbling in low tuned 7 string guitars to create an original sound chock full of catchy hooks that convey a fresh and emotive feel to their heavy music. Lead vocalist Jess Ruin has added more screams, but also more clean techniques with her pop-esque power vocals. Fans of forward-thinking modern metal such as Evanescence, System of a Down, and Killswitch Engage should take special note of this powerful and emotive Canadian band.
Teaming up with GhostCultMag.com, Juliet Ruin is excited to premiere their latest lyric video for the track 'Fight To Win' at the following link HERE.
The band adds:
"'Fight to Win' is probably one of the more unique tracks on the album. It begins softly and quickly changes pace, flowing into our most experimental vocals in the verses. FTW is a wordy and exciting track with an array of vocal styles. The verses of this one are special vocally because of creative on-the-spot thinking in the studio by Diego Fernandez. The last-minute change to make the verses more spoken the entire mood of the song different. FTW is an ode to owning up to a vengeful nature just to flaunt it proudly as a warning sign."
Digital stream and download of Juliet Ruin's debut album "Old Stardust, Love, and Chaos" is available on Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon.
Music Video 'Spite' here.
Lyric Video 'Seasons' here.
In additional news, Juliet Ruin will be supporting Ukraine's Jinjer in Calgary on October 29th and Edmonton on October 30th.
The band adds:
"We as a band are absolutely honoured to be opening up for Jinjer, we are all fans and their meteoric rise has been a pleasure to watch."
Oct 29 - Calgary, AB - Dickens w/ Jinjer, The Browning, Sumo Cyco
Oct 30 - Edmonton, AB - The Starlite Room w/ Jinjer, The Browning, Sumo Cyco

Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week are Russian Instrumental Folk Metal / Progressive Hard Rock trio Helena Aleksandre’s (we prefer Avant-Garde Folk Metal).
The group is led by Helena who was born in Kostroma, Russia. She started playing guitar at 15 and took the next 5 years learning to understand her music and discover the talent to create music in her own style. Helena is joined by vocalist Vera Moore who also writes the text for the songs and Stasy Short who plays classical guitar and is also fond of playing bass guitar and synthesizer.
Helena Aleksandre’s music combines several styles. There is no framework for the compositions and the music specifically tries to avoid copying anyone. In any song, you may find a lot of non-recurring moments, which makes each song interesting and makes you want to listen to it several times. Influences include Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and Kipelov while the sound has elements of folk, metal and progressive hard rock.
The all female line-up was created a year ago in 2018 with the band accumulated tracks ready for their debut album due to be released worldwide via Sliptrick Records.
Helena Aleksandre’s are:
Helena Aleksandre – Composer/Lyrics/Guitarist
Vera Moore – Vocals/Lyrics
Stasy Short – Guitarist

Greek Death Metal cult Vultur premiere the new track "Postmortem Lividity" via NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the title track to the band's highly anticipated second album, Drowned in Gangrenous Blood, set for international release on October 31st via Memento Mori. Hear Vultur's "Postmortem Lividity" in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Spawned from the sick brain cells of several past and current members of other deadly Hellenic entities (Ectoplasma, Resurgency et. al.) back in 2013, Vultur have been exhibiting an unquenchable thirst for sanguine death metal fluids ever since, revealed in all its putrid and vicious glory both in their Vulture's Beak demo (2016) and their Entangled in the Webs of Fear debut album (2018). Theirs is a timeless ilk of bludgeoning death metal that's stuffed with assorted tempos that go from relentless eruptions of savagery to torturous and doomed-out passages replete with morbid harmonies and through mid-paced onslaughts of sheer heaviness, influenced by the likes of Morbid Angel, Gorguts, Monstrosity, Immolation, Brutality, Suffocation, Morpheus Descends, and Incantation.
Salaciously titled Drowned in Gangrenous Blood, Vultur's sophomore strike sees them sticking to that crushing course - and indeed drowning the hapless listener in gangrenous blood! No compromise, no quarter, no progression: Drowned in Gangrenous Blood is 100% undiluted DEATH METAL spawned from the most righteous of eras, the very beginning of the '90s. Even down to its bassy, shit-thick production - courtesy of Haris Vougiantzis, of Embrace Of Thorns fame, who also handles the mixing & mastering here - Vultur's second album reeks of totally thorough authenticity. Its songwriting is creepy, lurking, and most definitely SICK, spewed by diseased minds who LIVE FOR THIS. And it's also further proof that Greece's death metal underground is criminally unsung, but soon shall devour unbelievers...
And what better way to garnish utter sickness than the literally viscous cover art courtesy of Gargoylekelly? Vultur have wasted no time in eclipsing their cult debut album - drink up! Take the next sip with the brand-new track "Postmortem Lividity" exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. Also sip the previously revealed title track "Drowned in Gangrenous Blood" HERE, courtesy of MetalBite.com, as well as the previously revealed "Groans of Excruciating Terror" HERE at Memento Mori's official YouTube channel.
Ancient Black Metal upstarts Temple Ov Perversion stream the entirety of their striking self-titled debut EP at Decibel magazine's website. Set for international release on October 18th via Clavis Secretorvm on classic 12" vinyl format, hear Temple Ov Perversion's self-titled EP in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from Switzerland, Temple Ov Perversion are a young band with old souls. The band's first demo, Rehearsal MMXVII, was a rough 'n' ready display of their ancient, witching metal, suggesting salacious glories to come. Alas, they have arrived with Temple Ov Perversion, a veritable bounty of black filth, lust, and sleaze. Despite its release in the year 2019, one could mistake Temple Ov Perversion's true opening salvo as some long-lost relic of the early '90s, announced on fliers that a release was forthcoming on Deathlike Silence Productions; cult names invoked include Hadez, Imperator, Mortem, and Hungary's Tormentor. Four songs in 20 minutes, each as stout and swaggering as the next, and what you altogether get is a loose 'n' lawless expurse of sonic sodomy that's immediately headbanging and evil as fuck: no scenes, no rules, NO LIGHT! Temple Ov Perversion play black metal in the old vein exclusively!
Even though it's international release was yesterday, you can still hear Temple ov Perversion in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Finnish Industrial Metal / Hell Electro act King Satan is releasing their second full length album "I Want You To Worship Satan' on 22nd of November 2019. They also have released third single and music video from the upcoming album called All Magick Is Chaos Magick.
Check the music video "All Magick Is Chaos Magick": https://youtu.be/cM6a9fLW8v0
Listen to the single:
Vocalist and the director of music video King Aleister Satan comments:
"For ”All Magick Is Chaos Magick” single we wanted to present more occult & mysticism oriented side of our works, and since it had been a while since I had directed a story-based music video I wanted it to be for this song. This said, the same goes with the song itself. I have been asked many times during the King Satan’s existence that ”what is Magick and Chaos Magick for you?” and ”how it is related to the Devil?” which led into the birth of the song, where I answer all this through the orchestration of industrial metal and electronic body music amalgam!"
King Satan is industrial metal band from Tampere, Finland founded in the end of 2015 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist King Aleister Satan. The band serves eccentric and over-the-top style of harsh extreme metal which is heavily infused with different elements all the way from hard rock and death punk to aggrotech and electro-industrial.
The band gained international attention in the underground metal circles with powerful live performances, controversial music videos and genre-bending debut album "King Fucking Satan"(2017). The band’s outspoken attitude towards occult and spiritual anarchy was served in unique blend of electro-metal which appeared to be not alien to neither satire or philosophical sedition.
With several festival shows and touring in Finland and mainland Europe in 2018 together with series of club shows while supporting or sharing stage with such acts as PAIN, PERTURBATOR, CARPENTER BRUT, HOCICO, TURMION KÄTILÖT and VELVET ACID CHRIST the band promoted their debut album and gained themselves reputation for being distinctive and energetic live band. With full band line-up, babalonian female voice of keyboardist KATHERINE BOSS and powerful demonic vocals of band’s mastermind KING ALEISTER SATAN the band delivers fierce soundscapes full of excessive synths and bass, electro beats, live drums and heavily distorted guitars that can be consumed both in dance floor and in a moshpit, and which most surely bows to nothing and to no one.
KING SATAN’s second full length album titled I WANT YOU TO WORSHIP SATAN (2019) was set to be released in 22nd November 2019 by INVERSE RECORDS and which will be introduced to the world once again by singles with impudent music videos all written and directed by band’s KING ALEISTER SATAN himself.
