Japanese metal band Babymetal have released the first single, “Divine Attack” from their forthcoming concept album "The Other One", out 23rd March 2023. The song is accompanied by an official visualiser, available to watch here.
Last year Babymetal were “sealed” from the world after a successful 10-year journey. In April 2022, "The Other One" restoration project began to recover the Babymetal we never knew existed within a virtual world called the Metalverse A total of 10 songs have been discovered within "The Other One" restoration project, with each song representing a unique theme based on 10 separate parallel worlds that they have discovered. One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is Cavalry, and their new single “Divine Attack” centres around this theme. As if this song is a hint into the future, alluding to a cavalry preparing for their next battle, we can feel a new sense of power from not only the sound but also the lyrics that have been written by SU-METAL for the first time. In addition, the official visualiser includes never-before-seen cuts of the members from "The Other One" - Black Box - and conveys the power and dynamism of the song. Five pre-release digital singles will be available worldwide for download and streaming, each respectively scheduled to release in October, November, January, February, and March. German metal quintet Half Me have released their new single 'Half Me' via Arising Empire. Formed in Hamburg Germany in 2018, the band - guitarists Chris and Julius, vocalist Chris, drummer Max and bassist Tobias - are one of the newest additions to the Arising Empire roster.
The band comment - "We are incredibly proud to share our new single 'Half Me'. This very personal song portrays our most quiet moments to date. It paints the protagonist's final descent into madness and the ultimate manifestation of another persona within their own self. 'Half Me' is as much a total surrender as it is a bonding ritual. You are invited to find out what happens after the ”Wraith” storyline." Watch the video to previous single 'Wraith' here: https://youtu.be/3tPGtDtItJs In the space of just two years, the band have made an impact in the music scene by self producing their music and videos, displaying their intensive and energetic demeanour. Debuting with four singles initially, it was their their single 'Exitwound' (featuring Jack Bergin of Void of Vision) that gave the group a breakthrough and landed the band in the spotlight of Knotfest’s Countdown to Oblivion. Musically, Half Me blend a modern rendition of metal and hardcore with highlights of 90s nu-metal. Pounding riffs and breakdowns are accompanied by brutal, yet sometimes elegant, vocals that all balance together to formulate the band’s own distinctive sound. Riding the high of their recent success, Half Me have sights set on releasing their highly anticipated debut album in 2022. Half Me will support their label mates in The Oklahoma Kid on the Tangerine Tragic Tour across Germany this autumn alongside Liotta Seoul. Recording independently and remotely the quartet is assembling the follow-up to 2021’s successful ‘Psychosomatic’ track-by-track and sharing the material as it completes, along with visually captivating music videos, that again the self-contained group produce themselves. “Perfect Person” is available now for streaming / download at all digital platforms or watch the video HERE https://youtu.be/MRTrNHlC90A “I grew up in a very religious Mexican family. It was a big part of our lives, especially every Sunday morning when we went to church,” explains guitarist / keyboardist Gabriel Guardian. “But one day, our pastor had a heart attack while in the middle of a sexual act cheating on his wife and died right there in the church after-hours. It was absolutely bonkers and I remember it really stirred up the moral point-of-views in our tiny Texas town. We stopped going to church after that and really started questioning why we were there to begin with. You see, some Christians had such a bad taste of the church that they left religion altogether and felt lied to and deceived, while others said the Christian thing to do would be to forgive him and move on and find another church. It was super interesting to grow up and watch both sides of this play out. This made a very interesting topic to write about and it definitely fuelled the spark for ‘Perfect Person.’ At the end of the day, it is about NOT over idolizing and over glorifying religious figures, politicians, celebrities, even musicians, and the like. I wonder if that pastor had just lived his life and died a non-religious man, nobody would have been bothered, but because everyone sought this man’s advice every week, got baptized by him, got married by him, and put his words and lifestyle on a pedestal, it made it that much more devastating. Everyone can pin a local ‘icon’ in their minds as a perfect figure that could do no wrong and preach endless golden words when in fact, he is just a mortal man with mortal sin.” Heavy topics are not unfamiliar to Immortal Guardian whose previous album focused on the COVID pandemic, likely the first full album to be thematically linked to the disease and its effect on the globe and its people. In the past year, Immortal Guardian have revealed three brand new songs -- “Ozona,” “Echoes” and “Southern Rain” forming a basis for their next conceptual piece. The band will continue to share new material as the creative process proceeds building up to a follow-up full-length traditional album planned for 2023. More info will be released by Immortal Guardian and M-Theory Audio in the weeks and months to follow, including new tour dates. IMMORTAL GUARDIAN is:

They grab you by the balls and smash you right back on the floor, lovely! :- ) There are many young metalcore bands around but it’s not easy to find a really good and dedicated one which can still surprise you with their art. And it’s always hard when you sign an excellent band and instantly wanna tell it to the world but have to hold back for a few more weeks until everything is prepared but today is the day where we can proudly tell that Beneath My Feet are now officially part of the Noble Demon roster!" In support of their soon to be released album, Beneath My Feet have released an electrifying & heavy preview of what's to come with the music video and first single "Dig My Grave"! Beneath My Feet's new studio album will be released on January 13, 2023 and deals with themes such as abuse, trauma, anxiety and grief. Benath My Feet about the song: "It’s a hard hitting trip into the mind of someone knowing that their end is near, how it changes them. Swedish death metallers Demonical launch "Wrathspawn" music video, taken from the new album "Mass Destroyer", which is out now on Agonia Records. The video features live footage, recorded by Daniel Rathke and Florian Rehn. "Wrathspawn" is the second music video to be released off the album. It follows "We Conquer The Throne", which can be found here. Developed in less than two years, "Mass Destroyer" reflects the energy that spawned its creation, and keeps to the Swede's HM2-beaten track, promising a few twists along the way. Adorned in an old fashioned attire from Mark Riddick (Absu, Arsis), "Mass Destroyer" packs a gruesome punch, embodies organic sounding and delivers a truly fiendish experience, registered at Glashuset and Sellnoise Studios with Johan Hjelm and Jonas Arnberg behind the helm. Karl Daniel Liden mixed and mastered the album at Tri-Lamb Studio (Cult of Luna, Bloodbath). Demonical on-line:

'White Portrait' the debut single is out now on all streaming platforms. The lyric video for the single is on the band's YouTube page. The single was released on Sunday, the 16th of October. https://youtu.be/1NWryTL2HAw Ryth is a 4-piece Metal band from the Middle Eastern Kingdom of Bahrain. The band’s style can be described as blackened death metal with a technical and progressive edge. Their main influences are bands such as Gojira, Dark Fortress, Shining and Opeth. Ryth’s innovative song structures incorporate clean and aggressive vocals with progressive and dynamic elements. Ryth, were formed in 2008 and have been very active in the Bahrain live metal scene since. However, due to the hardships facing Metal musicians in the Middle East, the band did not record or release any official material for many years. Although Ryth’s first studio recordings will be released in 2022, the band have spent years perfecting their musical skills and forging their own unique and brutal blend of extreme metal. Titled "Power in Your Hand", the new release features 11 tracks of classic heavy thrash tunes that tackle subjects on society, war, politics and pseudo-psychological concepts. The band recently dropped their first single accompanied by a music video for the track "Prey". Check it out here: https://youtu.be/pJEtWzdl0wQ The band comments on some of the tracks that will appear on "Power in Your Hand": "Some of the lyrics are more obvious, such as First to Fight: "Ready to fight, ready to strike...", where it is clearly about the fight, war, and resistance. The song itself is also fast and makes you quickly decide if you don't have time to think about what to do at the moment. The best defence is attack. The track "I Deny" was supposed to be a manifesto of opposition, but due to the quite positive and energetic riff, the message may be perceived differently than intended, but that's good - the track has evolved. Regarding the evolution of the tracks, it is due to the fact that the album was created quite a long time, the tracks just changed over time and just evolved just like us. The subject of the songs is a bit anti-war, a bit anti-political, pseudo-psychological, eccentric, energetically lyrical, trying to force some reflection or reflection alongside hi-speed riffs." "Power in Your Hand" will be released independently on November 18th 2022 on CD and digital streaming platforms. For more info, head to: http://www.airstrike.pl Members of the band:
Female Dark Metal band Upon Shadows premiere their new track and video called "Light and Shadows" to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The song combines the raw sound of guitars, bass and fierce vocals with the poetry of the lyrics and the extremely dark atmosphere, emphasized by the keyboards. This single will not be part of the new Upon Shadows album, which is in the process of being recorded and will be released next year. As a curious fact, it should be said that the releases of Upon Shadows are always on the same date, and this is because October 18 is the birthday of Tamara Picardo, leader of the band. "Light and Shadows" was recorded mostly in Oulu, Finland and the bass in Montevideo, Uruguay. Mixed and mastered by Mika Pohjola at Soundmix recording studio, Oulu, Finland in 2022, and is now available on music platforms. Tamara Picardo comment about the song: “For this single we wanted to go for a more raw sound, this decision is based on the concept within "Light and Shadows". It is a song that somehow evokes the spirit of our first albums and at the same time unites it with who we are now. In a way it is "proof" that we are still the same dreamy rebels, that 20 years ago got together to make dark music, and our flame is still furiously alive. There are no political or philosophical references in this song... I wanted this song to be a bit of fresh air, among so many bad news and constant tragedies. Among so many people trying to convince another of something. This is poetry and extreme metal with all our passion and our blood”. US metalcore group Fragmented Tranquility release the first single taken from their forthcoming album This Entity. Here’s what the band had to say about the track; “The Fall is our political view of the corrupt and deceitful government and, in our eyes, the downfall of our country. Band links: Facebook | Youtube | Instagram | Twitter | On Sliptrick Brutal death metallers Bonecarver have released their esoteric second single, 'Ancient Atrocity', ahead of their new album, Carnage Funeral, due 11th November via Unique Leader Records.
The story behind new single, 'Ancient Atrocity,' and accompanying video, has been concocted by the band and their friend SVICIDVL, who helped them to mould the ongoing chronicle. Bonecarver commented on the new single: "Alk Yabar is an ancient alchemist obsessed with an ancient prophecy. According to writings of the Demonomicon, the arrival of the herald of chaos is very close, but for completing the rite that initiates the balance of shadow and light in the world must find an ancient arcane item lost in the vastness of the desert of Yalbalah. Alk begins a journey through the ancient ruins and tunnels of the forbidden tombs of the kings of the last dynasty of Fenhkrir. This ancient and advanced civilisation disappeared overnight without leaving a trace of its glory and its mighty civilisation."
Formed from the ashes of Cannibal Grandpa, Spanish masters of ultra-modern brutality, Bonecarver, have been at the forefront of the extreme scene in their native Madrid since 2014. Combining stories about infamous serial killers with their own take on brutal death metal, the band received worldwide praise for their Unique Leader debut Evil in 2021. Returning with their highly anticipated sophomore album, Carnage Funeral, Bonecarver have spawned a skull crushing monster. The nine tracks offer an oozing, infernal masterclass in bone-splintering death metal, a true statement of intent from the start, showing this new iteration are serious about establishing their own legacy whilst taking extreme metal to a new level.
