Every song from this band is a separate and sad history with its philosophical implication and sense. The band was created as a studio project of one man (vocalist Andrey Baranov) but actual themes and music quickly found the response, so there came a desire to play this music live. https://www.facebook.com/absence.betrayal/

Scottish Atmospheric black metal project Ruadh to release debut album "Sovereign" 12th April9/2/2019 Ruadh (which is pronounced "Roo-Ah" and translates to "red" is a one man Atmospheric Black Metal project from Glasgow, Scotland. Drawing from the vast well of history, culture and mythology, musician and songwriter Tom Perrett set out to compose music purely to taste, creating an unmistakable atmosphere with the beating heart of old school Black Metal favourites of his, such as Windir, Bathory, Burzum and others, which should also appeal to fans of Saor, Winterfylleth, Panopticon and similar acts. Tom was born and raised in one of the oldest Burghs in Scotland, which translates to "The red glen". The derivation of the name of the town is un clear but one theory is that the area was once a settlement of Reuther, an ancient king of the Scots, who ruled between 213 and 187 BC. Ruadh’s debut album “Sovereign” will be released digitally and as collector’s edition in CD digipak (limited to 1000 copies) on 12.04.19 PRE ORDER THE DEBUT ALBUM "SOVEREIGN" www.ruadh.bandcamp.com www.northern-silence.de facebook.com/ruadhofficial twitter.com/ruadhofficial Jyväskylä-based Finnish atmospheric metal act Lucidity as released a new single and music video to a track "Surface". The single is a first piece from their second full length album "Oceanum" to be released next year. Compared to their well received debut album (The Oblivion Circle 2015), Lucidity dives deeper into dark waters as ever before. The lack of bright colours has been replaced with versatility, by pushing far ends further away from each other. There are also some unexpected influences and elements. This time the material is a lot more carefully planned and finished, down to the soundscape as well. https://www.facebook.com/finlucidity/ http://www.lucidityband.net/ https://www.instagram.com/LucidityFIN/ https://twitter.com/LucidityFIN https://www.youtube.com/user/lucidityband Singaporean two-piece atmospheric doom outfit Onset's debut EP, Unstructured Dissemination, bridges a fine line between doom, post rock and even death/black metal elements. The EP was previously only made available on bandcamp and now it will see a proper release on CD format under the banner of Japanese doom specialized label Weird Truth Productions. This EP Features Sigh mastermind Mirai Kawashima and Singaporean darkwave prodigy Microchip Terror on synthnoises. Stream "Unstructured Dissemination" On Bandcamp AT THIS LOCATION Formed in early 2017, to simply pigeonhole Onset as a “doom band would” just be scratching the surface; the influences brought forward to the band are extremely diverse, with an almost no-holds-barred attitude and seeping in emotive passages surging into post-rock territory while still staying remotely under the radar of the doom genre itself. The tempo and the vibe embody the feeling of melancholy and dread. The “Unstructured Dissemination” EP showcases two imposing tracks clocking at over 25 minutes in length, as well as an undaunted attempt to record them in a completely live and rehearsal-like environment. Another very integral part of the Onset sound comes from the collaborative effort of synthwave artist Microchip Terror, who provided a very cinematic approach amongst the wash of fuzzed-out guitars and wall of drums, thus giving the entire EP an incredible spectrum of soundscape. Also featuring Mirai Kawashima from Sigh on additional keys/synth on both the intro and outro tracks. The cover artwork for “Unstructured Dissemination” was designed by Branca Studio (Paradise Lost, Marty Friedman, Foo Fighters, Confrontational, etc) teaming up with the band’s concept and vision perfectly. “Unstructured Dissemination” will be released on CD version under Japanese seminal doom label Weird Truth Productions on November 28, 2018. As a prelude to the release of Mother Culture, Dark Essence Records has released the title track as a single, which is available from and can be heard at https://avastband.bandcamp.com/track/mother-culture. Hailing from Stavanger, Norway, Avast consists of Hans Olaf Myrvang (Agenda) on bass and vocals, Trond Salte (Agenda), Ørjan Lund (Nag) on guitars, and Stian Steensnæs (Lik) on drums, Avast is a band that reviewers and promoters place in a variety of genres. Whilst the band's roots lie in punk rock and hardcore, it would be safe to say that blackgaze and post-black metal are genres that could be applied to Avast, given that Avast's lyrical themes are not centred around the usual black metal topics, but tend more towards a philosophical and poetical take on social and environmental issues. The members of Avast themselves describe Mother Culture as:- “a concept album that examines the myths upon which modern civilization is based”, and “an apocalyptic tale about the rise and fall of human civilization, and how we have exploited the Earth’s resources to such a degree that we are now standing on the brink of our own extinction. Musically the record borrows equally from the black metal and post-rock genres, and lyrically it draws inspiration from Daniel Quinn’s philosophical novel Ishmael.” Artwork by Ole Nymoen. Now playing courtesy of New Noise Magazine, the hymn comes by way of the band's People Used To Live Here full-length released last year via Pelagic Records. Issues the band:- "The video is based upon a recollection of a dream, filmed within the house that the record People Used To Live Here was originally written, and is intended as both a literal and metaphorical reflection on ideas relating to the subjective limits of self, perspicacity, and self-determinism." It would supply a degree of freedom and mutual musical understanding, something that most bands could only dream of. Spook The Horses, from Wellington, New Zealand, are such a band. Perhaps it's this multi instrumentalism and virtuosity that explains the vast musical territory that is explored among the band's three albums: while 2011's debut album Brighter was defined by sweet post-rock crescendos, 2015's Rainmaker was a much heavier affair that would appeal to fans of Cult Of Luna or Amenra. The band's forthcoming People Used To Live Here, in quiet stark contrast to the aforementioned, sees the band turn the distortion knobs way down, to a mildly saturated crunch tone, at most. The band's most daring effort to date, People Used To Live Here explores the natural and immediate. Written and conceived in relative isolation over several grim Southern Hemisphere winters, Spook The Horses is defining their own sonic trademark with this album: an atmosphere of quiet desolation, raw and real, desperate and unsettling; the post-apocalyptic soundtrack to abandoned places, where people used to live, at one point in time, long ago. Fans of Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Mogwai (Come On Die Young), and Amenra (acoustic), pay heed. http://www.facebook.com/spookthehorses http://www.pelagic-records.com http://www.facebook.com/pelagicrecords Canadian metal band Malacoda are to release the brand new album via Rockshots Records this coming fall! Following on from the release of the EP "Ritualis Aeterna", Malacoda will be releasing a new full length album "Restless Dreams" via Rockshots Records in this coming fall. The album delivers a full musical experience inspired by the horror video game "Silent Hill 2". Malacoda first introduced their fans to the "Silent Hill 2" storyline with the track "I got a letter" which featured on the band's sophomore release, "Ritualis Aeterna" (Rockshots Records, 2017). "Restless Dreams", inspired by the horror video game "Silent Hill 2", is a musical journey through dark, tormented themes of doubt, loss, guilt and terror. The plot of the album follows a broken man’s journey through the ghost town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his dead wife asking him to meet her there. Malacoda brings a fresh interpretation of the themes within the ground-breaking video game classic "Silent Hill 2". Malacoda artfully bring to life the oppressive, claustrophobic aura of the fog consumed town with deviously clever song-writing and mind-cacthing lyrics, Malacoda truly understand the importance of meticulous production, and appreciate the masterful mix by Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Imonolith), "Restless Dreams" is a musical release unlike any other. Fans and new listeners alike, prepare for an atmospheric and melodic metal descent into a world of horror and despair. The new album "Restless Dreams" is set to be released via Rockshot Records on October 19 in North America and October 26 in Europe. www.rockshots.eu http://www.malacodametal.com https://www.facebook.com/MalacodaBand https://www.instagram.com/malacodametal/ Catalan atmospheric metal band Foscor have revealed the details of their digital album 'Les Irreals Visions'', to be released on August 24, 2018. Furthermore, a new lyric video for the track "Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)," from the upcoming record has been published. The video can be viewed below. Link - https://youtu.be/IVKYVHMLr7U 'Les Irreals Versions', the title aptly translating to 'The Unreal Versions', can be seen as a continuation of the album 'Les Irreals Visions', released a little more than a year ago. Six tracks, taken from previous albums, have been re-arranged and recorded from zero. Foscor introduces different instruments to the compositions, creating a more intimate feel and ambient approach, ultimately taking the music to new boundaries. Foscor comment: "Our creative foundations call for a transformation of all moments to eternal, reaching a reconciliation between the far beyond and the here, matching the spiritual and earthly level of our nature. As we set during the creative process for 'Les Irreals Visions', common things must acquire a new meaning, and so this compilation of songs digs into this aim. The world must be poetized, and taking our own songs to the most intimate level, we were able to expand its dimension and memory. A pleasant experience shared with pure artists, which today we are more than proud to present you with this first visual and acoustic approach. This time-lapse video experience sets a metaphor of a personal and individual experience. "Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)" translate as "Shavings of Death", is based on our vocalist Fiar experience during his grandfather’s last hours. Watching him touch a sort of invisible sparks or falling leaves in front of him, gave him the idea that perhaps by catching these invisible things in the very last moment you are saving some life shavings: memories, experiences and moments you love but that Death asks you to leave behind." https://www.facebook.com/foscor.official/ New Zealand's Spook The Horses new music video "Made Shapeless" premieres via Svbterranean29/5/2018 Svbterranean is pleased to offer up the North American premiere of "Made Shapeless," the interactive new video from New Zealand-based atmospheric metal unit Spook The Horses. The ethereal tune comes by way of the band's People Used To Live Here full-length released last year via Pelagic Records. Issues the band, "The video is centred around an abstract odyssey that presents itself in three stages, progressing and regressing through ambiguously symbolic landscapes and scenarios. This cryptic and dreamlike 360° video examines the familiar and unfamiliar ideas and memories that lurk and merge within the subconscious. The medium of VR was a very deliberate choice, simultaneously allowing the viewer the autonomy to frame the scene as they wish, yet also presenting zero ability to influence or adjust what is there. As the viewer, you must make the choice of deliberately turning toward or away from what is hurtling toward you." Experience "Made Shapeless" at Svbterranean at THIS LOCATION. Decibel Magazine unfolds the premiere of the second track "Pole cicha šaptała kałossiem..." from the upcoming album, which is based on poems from the beginning of the 20th century. Listen to it RIGHT HERE. "With lyrics and music based on and inspired by Slavic poetry, I Miortvym Snicca Zolak enfolds the listener in a blinding maelstrom of spellbinding riffs, weightless but imbued with that special brand of Eastern European melancholy that makes bands from that part of the world so singular, and so irresistible." — Dutch Pearce, Decibel Magazine The Band informs: “The song “Pole cicha šaptała kałossiem” is taken from the poem (having the same title) of Michas Charot — the Belarusian poet, playwright and writer who was shot in the framework of the repression, committed by the Soviet leaders in October, 1937. Michas dedicated this to Tishke Gartnoy (real name Dmitry Fyodorovich Zhilunovich), another prominent poet from Belarus. The poem fits perfectly into the music of Raven Throne, thus forming one of the most powerful and piercing tracks from this album.” PRE-ORDER:
