Progressive alternative metal band Auditory Armory have released a stunning cover of Type O Negative's classic track "Love You To Death". The track can be streamed here: http://www.ghostcultmag.com/auditory-armory-cover-love-you-to-death-by-type-o-negative/ "Love You To Death" is featured on the band's forthcoming album Dark Matter which will be released on July 21st 2017. Auditory Armory is not your average female-fronted band. The influences of the band range from alternative to metal to progressive to jazz and beyond. The lyrical scope of Auditory Armory’s songs skims past the superficial love song or pop hit. Auditory Armory is doing what so little in the music industry are actually doing -- writing honestly. Auditory Armory expertly uses the symbiosis of heavy rock and melody to introspectively explore dark emotions about self-worth and one’s role in the universe. Vocalist, guitarist and songwriter April Montallana says, "I prefer to be honest with my lyrics. I don't care about what is popular or mainstream. I just hope that our music will move and touch some people. Music saved my life...I want to do that for others.." Auditory Armory has had the honour of sharing the stage with Full Devil Jacket, Fuel, Straight Line Stitch, Lacey Sturm, Bonz (from Stuck Mojo), Nothing More, Dead Horse Trauma, Bellusira, Mike Tramp (White Lion), Kelen Heller, and Saint Rebel. They were also selected to play the 2016 3rd Annual Kink Music Festiival alongside national acts such as Evanescence, HELLYEAH, and In Flames. Auditory Armory is April Rose - Vocals, Guitar Oscar Garcia - Drums Dennis Burns - Guitar Justice Maynard - Bass

As previously announced, multi-platinum-selling rock band Avenged Sevenfold are expanding their new album The Stage into an evolving body of work by adding a series of new tracks over the course of the coming months. Today sees the release of the album’s latest addition, their rendition of Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo” – click HERE to listen and watch the video here: http://A7X.lnk.to/RetrovertigoVideo . “Retrovertigo” follows the recent release of Avenged Sevenfold’s first-ever Spanish-language release, “Malagueña Salerosa,” a song whose companion video has already amassed over 2 million YouTube views – click HERE to watch. The band recorded both tracks with producer Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool). "We're massive fans of Mr. Bungle," says vocalist M. Shadows. "'Retrovertigo' is one of their softer songs and a particular favorite of ours and we thought it'd be a fun twist to make a heavy version. We hope this song encourages the uninitiated to dig a little deeper into the brilliant world of Mr. Bungle. Mike Patton is one of the greatest vocalists of our generation and it was pretty daunting for me to sing one of his songs, but we had a great time recording this track. More coming." The Stage, available HERE, is the band’s 7th studio album and first for Capitol Records. Co-produced by A7X and Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool), The Stage is a work of immense scope and ambition, featuring 11 panoramic tracks tied together by an Artificial Intelligence theme. Inspired by the writings of Carl Sagan and Elon Musk, the album is the band’s first thematic release. Its epic 15-minute-plus closing track, “Exist,” features a guest appearance by award-winning astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson giving a spoken word performance he penned specifically for the album. https://www.facebook.com/AvengedSevenfold Australian 'Rapcore' horde The Weight Of Silence cover Big Boi's "Shutterbugg" with new music video28/5/2017 Watch The New Music Video Exclusively on idobi Radio Australian metalcore quartet The Weight Of Silence has released their new rap cover from Big Boi's (Outkast) single "Shutterbugg" with a new music video. Vocalist, Jacob Pedersen commented on why the band choose this cover saying, "We've been quite influenced by hip-hop whilst writing the the new record and we decided that, a classic hip-hop cover would be the perfect bridge or transition into the newer sound we're writing. We're very excited about the release of "Shutterbugg" but, what's to come soon after is what we're most excited for." While the band proves their love for hip-hop, they also claim a new shift in their modern metalcore sound, incorporating a range of styles from hip-hop to deathcore, which hints at a new direction for their upcoming sophomore release. "Song To Hall Up High," originally by Bathory, has been re-worked and wholly transformed by MYRKUR and has premiered at Metal Hammer, who called the rendition "a gauntlet thrown down to the foes, but one wrapped in finest gossamer, and more true to the transcendent, spirit-channelling nature of black metal than any number of self-appointed grimness-wardens bashing away at their keyboards." Hear Myrkur's take on "Song To Hall Up High" now at this location. On the one-year anniversary of her critically-acclaimed, masterful debut full-length, M, Danish black metal artist Myrkur unveils a captivating live recording from the historic Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo, Norway. Aptly titled Mausoleum, the album features beautifully dramatic & stripped-down acoustic reinventions of seven songs from M plus one brand new song and a Bathory cover; all accompanied by the Norwegian Girls Choir and Håvard (ex-Ulver) on guitar. Captured in a cold, dimly-lit tomb covered in morbid frescos that depict the circle of human life from conception til death, Mausoleum is an incredible showcase of Myrkur's sublime yet haunting voice in a truly chilling, unrivalled atmosphere. Mausoleum is due out this August 19 on CD / LP / Digital via Relapse. Physical pre-orders are available at this location, and digital versions can be pre-ordered via Myrkur's Bandcamp here. https://www.facebook.com/myrkurmyrkur |
