Denmark's Forever Still discuss the dystopian concept of 'Breathe In Colours' in first album trailer10/2/2019 After recently presenting the first single off their upcoming album 'Breathe In Colours', out on March 29th via Nuclear Blast, Denmark's high-flyers Forever Still unveil further details about their sophomore full-length release. In this new trailer - once again created by band with their long-established DIY ethic - frontwoman Maja Shining explains why the band developed the concept of a dystopian future for 'Breathe In Colours' and decided to focus the musical content on the problems of the modern world instead of writing songs with a very introspective point of view like they did on their predecessor 'Tied Down'. The Interbeing have just dropped their first song since their 2nd album 'Among the Amorphous' was released in July 2017. The new single “Depressor” is an energetic and fierce industrial, pulsating “slap-in-the-face” that shows a new and more sinister face of The Interbeing. The story about The Interbeing continues, front-singer Dara Corcoran explains: “'Depressor' is the first song on our new venture. The song follows the main character from our two albums 'Edge of the Obscure' and 'Among the Amorphous'. After finding his true form at the end of 'Among the Amorphous', The Interbeing becomes the necessary Depressor.” Stream the single here:- https://prime-collective.lnk.to/tE2UOPR Originated in 2007 The Interbeing has from the beginning won several prizes in their native Denmark. Their debut album from 2011 was acclaimed “Album of the Year” by the biggest Danish music magazine, GAFFA. The album was re-released in Japan, and two tracks were used as a soundtrack in a Japanese game. The second chapter 'Among the Amorphous' from 2017 is an album that lifts the bar in regards of storytelling and songwriting in the world of Technical Metal. The Interbeing has had the honour to be the main support for massive international names such as Stone Sour (US), Meshuggah (SE) and Parkway Drive (AU), and during the fall 2017 the band toured as main support for Twelve Foot Ninja (AU) through six European countries. Danish Melodic Metalcore outfit Ivy Crown unveil first video single for anticipated debut album27/1/2019 Danish Melodic Metalcore quartet Ivy Crown have released their video single for ‘Lonesome & Cold’. The single is the first track of their highly anticipated debut album ‘Echo’, due to be released on March 29th. ‘Lonesome an Cold’ introduces new vocalist Maria Kjær and the new, darker sound the band has come to represent since their first two singles. ‘The song is about the demons and inner struggles of an addict’, explains Ivy Crown, ‘A battle that is lonesome, cold and makes you feeling trapped within your own mind.’ Moreover, the song features a guest appearance by MØL vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf, giving the song an extra dimension. Ivy Crown has risen from the ashes of Taras which was a well-known Danish all-female punk rock band, and after releasing two separate singles, ‘Timeout’ and ‘Enemy’ in the summer of 2017, the girls are set to release their debut album in March 2019 through Prime Collective. Recorded and produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt and with assisting vocal production by Mirza Radonjica-Bang. The black metal quintet Morild was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark, January 2016 and in September 2017, the band released the EP entitled ‘VI’. Morild’s debut album “Så kom mørket…” was written following the release of ‘VI’ in the transition from summer to fall to winter and recorded through the spring and summer of 2018. The album consists of six songs - one for each line in the album title - which Morild has recorded, produced and mixed themselves. ‘Så kom mørket...’ will be released February 1st 2019 on black vinyl and digital formats via Indisciplinarian. "The Blackening Tide" is the new album from Danish epic melodic death metallers Heidra and the follow up to the band's first full length album "Awaiting Dawn͛" from 2014. "The Blackening Tide" is a concept album continuing the epic narrative and story arc that started with "Awaiting Dawn", and building upon Heidra's musical trademarks of twin lead guitar harmonies, soaring orchestral passages, growled vocals mixed with powerful clean singing and a relentless barrage of crushing metal riffs The story of a king deposed and his attempts to reclaim his throne continue and the album opens with the dawn of the day of reckoning and the march to the battlefield, where the two armies clash in a murderous fury. With victory seemingly at hand for our hero, events suddenly take a turn for the worse as he and all his army is cast into a hellish realm. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Mastrobuono (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse) at Kick Recording Studio in Rome and is out now via Time To Kill Records. The EP is recorded with Cabal-guitarist and renowned producer Chris Kreutzfeldt and is to be released on January 25th 2019. On this first release the band displays their trademark sound, combining groovy and heavy riffing with captivating synth melodies and some fearsome vocals (watch their lyric video above). Check it out here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed8thFuvKqA Vocalist Marc Buch tells us that:- “The title 'Filth' revolves around the emptiness that most of us feel within us. Mankind has always had a tendency to fill this emptiness - the void - with fear and animosity, which in turn, is blindly causing wars and the ruination of society. Instrumentally, the song draws inspiration from the black metal genre, as well as the deathcore genre, with a hint of classical inspiration in the chorus.“ Hanging the Nihilist formed back in 2016. Inspired by like-minded brutal bands such as Angelmaker, A Night In Texas and Make The Suffer, the young collective started working on a release of their own. With ‘Crow’ set to be released on January 25th, the band is aiming to break necks and grind some bones! HANGING THE NIHILIST Black Metallers Blodarv have inked a deal with the Dutch record label Soulseller Records for the release and world-wide distribution of the band's upcoming full-length album "The Illuminating Darkness" which will be available in CD, Digital and 12" Vinyl formats in 2019. Commenting on the decision to sign with Soulseller Records, Blodarv had this to say:- "We have to say that we are really looking forward to working with Soulseller - a cooperation that will greatly benefit both the band and the fans. Soulseller have proven themselves to be a label of some note with a great many quality releases over the years, and we are more than satisfied to be working with them on the upcoming album. One of the things that was very important to us was that this album should also be released on Vinyl. Not only because many of our fans prefer vinyl over other formats, but also because as soon as we had written the first track, we all felt that vinyl was where it belonged, and, as a consequence, the whole album was created with that particular medium in mind. Another aspect to signing with Soulseller was the availability issue. Up until now, once we had sold out of our releases at the official Blodarv store in Denmark it has been extremely difficult, not to mention very expensive, for our European fans and followers to get their hands on them. Ordering from Mexico, where our previous label and their distro were situated, meant that fans in Europe were hit with taxes, customs charges and prohibitive postal costs, whilst we ourselves could only stock a very small number, as all our releases had been limited to 1,000 copies. With Soulseller this will all change. There are, of course, a few more reasons why we are looking forward to this co operation, not least of which are trust, shared visions and goals, dedication, artistic freedom, and the excellent communication we have with Soulseller." More info about "The Illuminating Darkness" will be available soon, but in the meantime Blodarv recently gave fans an insight into what they could expect from the album by premiering the track “A dark trail of Death" which is available to stream or download at the following: Bandcamp : www.blodarv.bandcamp.com/track/a-dark-trail-of-death YouTube : www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMU5XMwyc28 Soundcloud : www.soundcloud.com/blodarv/a-dark-trail-of-death/s-FjszF www.blodarv.bandcamp.com www.blodarv.net www.facebook.com/blodarvofficial www.youtube.com/huginofblodarv www.soulsellerrecords.com https://soulsellerrecords.bandcamp.com https://soulsellerrecords.aisamerch.com Danish progressive doom metal band Alkymist will release their self-titled debut album on October 5th via Indisciplinarian. The label has issued a trailer and pre-orders for the vinyl version of the record, as the band announces several fall dates. See the trailer for Alkymists debut album HERE. Alkymist is a new force in doom metal - a force which, in its own manner, seeks to bring the hope of change into a time of turmoil. The band was formed in 2016 by guitarist Stefan Krey (Gas Giant) and bass player Kaspar Luke (Düreforsög) with the intention of creating the heaviest possible music within a progressive and atmospheric universe. In 2017, the lineup was completed by singer Peter Bjørneg (Detest) and drummer Philip Kjær Morthorst (The Ritual) and, subsequently, the quartet recorded their debut EP, Element, which was released January 2018 to notable national buzz. Now, Alkymist is ready to issue their eponymous debut album, which consists of six grandiose metal compositions over forty-four minutes produced by Lasse Ballade (Solbrud, Orm, Slægt). The music on Alkymist's debut album can be defined as progressive doom metal being both crushingly heavy as well as melodic and dynamic conjuring up a simultaneously strange, beautiful and terrifying expression. A general theme on Alkymist is an existence which is parallel, wrong and expelled, and an existence from which the suffering subject seeks to be delivered. Alkymist will be released on October 5th via Indisciplinarian on LP and digital formats. The vinyl edition of the album, limited to 500 copies, can now be pre-ordered HERE. Alkymist has recently announced a free release show on October 3rd on Loppen, Christiania in Copenhagen, where the band will perform the entire album, and will be joined by special guest Leila Abdul-Rauf (Vastum, Hammers of Misfortune) as part of her Scandinavian tour. Alkymist will also play a November show with epic metallers and labelmates Rising, with more dates to follow soon. The video is now playing in our official media partners for this premiere: Classic Rock Germany (DE, AU, CHE) MyRock (DK) - premiere + airplay New Noise Magazine (US) Friedhof Magazine (ES) Metal Roos (AU) Ultraje Magazine (PT) Kvlt Webzine (PL) You can check it also in the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbU78UHqfew Singer, Bjørn Bølling Nyholm, says: "We chose «Bitter Harvest» as the first single for «Distant Thunder» because we believe it represents us as a band in the best possible way - it has a catchy and bluesy main riff, a strong southern vibe, and memorable hooks both melodically and lyrically - and the video shows both the energy that the song sparks in us as well as the main theme of it". Black Swamp Water features Kim Langkjær Jensen, former drummer of death metal bands Dawn of Demise, Illdisposed and Koldborn. Other than Kim, the band consists of singer Bjørn Bølling Nyholm, bass player Jeppe Birch Friis, and the two guitarists Jan Geert and Martin Lykke Hansen. Black Swamp Water is old school hard rock and heavy metal with obvious references to the bands like Black Sabbath, Ozzy and Corrosion Of Conformity with a howdy to the southern rock scene. The Tue Madsen produced- & mixed debut album «Chapter One» from 2016 gave the band a reputation as a highly energetic live act with great reviews and airplays to follow on both MyRock and National Danish Radio. Two years after the debut album Black Swamp Water is now ready to release their second album «Distant Thunder» to the world through Mighty Music on August 24th. Line-up: Vocals: Bjørn Bølling Nyholm Guitars: Jan Geert & Martin Lykke Hansen Bass: Jeppe Birch Friis Drums: Kim Langkjær Jensen www.facebook.com/BlackSwampWater Manticora will release their eighth album, "To Kill To Live To Kill", on August 3 via ViciSolum Records. The Danish thrash/power metallers have unveiled the video for “Echoes Of A Silent Scream”. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/rnzKB67Q7sI Another Manticora concept double effort, it is based on the thriller/horror novel that lead singer Lars F. Larsen has written. The novel itself is scheduled for a May 2018 release, while the two concept albums will be released as two separate albums, one year apart. "To Kill To Live To Kill" cover artwork is a stunning picture, painted by the extremely talented Danish painter David Troest, and it resembles the stories of the novel. Larsen explains:- "We have always tried out new cover artwork artists for each album, so when looking for the perfect person to give justice to the novel and the two albums, we wanted someone who'd be able to grasp the essence of the stories within the book, and when looking at David's pictures in general, it's evident for even the feeble-minded that he's that exact guy. He also lives less than an hour away from us, so it was a win-win situation for everyone to be able to meet up and do corrections on the front cover and all the other pictures that'll appear in the booklet. We're already beginning the work for the second album as well, so we can follow the release schedule of having the albums out 12 months apart."
