Finnish metalcore band I At Last released their new single 'Wake'. The track is taken from the upcoming debut EP "Magenta" which is to be released on March 26th 2021 via Inverse Records. Although I At Last declare themselves representatives of the metalcore genre, the EP embodies the band's distinctive sound, breaking the prejudices associated with said genre. Guitarist Roope Lappalainen says: "Influences for the EP can be found in several different genres, but in the end when someone asks what I At Last sounds like, I would say it sounds like us. The sound of ‘Magenta’ creates a good overall picture of who we are and what kind of music we want to create." The five-track "Magenta" EP reaches just over 26 minutes and is released entirely in digital form. Listen to the Wake single on:

The EP will be released this week on Thursday, Oct 22. The Descent EP is the band’s second release in 2020 and follows on from the debut “Ascent” EP, released in March this year. Descent features 5 tracks of varied material, recorded during the same sessions as the Ascent EP & once again the 5 tracks were mastered by Dan Swano at Unisound. Artwork fo the EP was created by Slava Gerj. Formed in early 2016, The Grief features members from Cork-based metal bands Corr Mhóna, For Ruin and Soothsayer some of whose members had originally played together in a Katatonia tribute band (Katatonik). The Grief plays a mixture of doom-tinged metal with influences from many of the classic British doom metal bands & made their initial live appearances in 2017 before recording an initial unreleased demo with the initial line up of the band:
When the drum position was vacated by Farrow (who moved abroad), the band decided to focus on recording their first 9 songs during 2019 at Murphy’s home studio in North Cork. Recordings were completed in late 2019 with Murphy performing the drum parts until new drummer Con Doyle joined the band in March 2020. UK TOUR DATES – SEPTEMBER 2021 21st – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro 22nd – Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena 24th – Sheffield, FlyDSA Arena 25th – Birmingham, Utilita Arena 26th – London The O2 Arena Mumbai-based death metal multi-instrumentalist, Sahil Makhija aka Demonstealer, is all set to release his next solo EP titled ‘And This Too Shall Pass’ on the 11th December, 2020. The 4-song EP is being self-released with the help of a crowd-funding campaign that Makhija personally set up in July earlier this year. Three years after The Last Reptilian Warrior, it was the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown in the country that provided Makhija with a new perspective and the inspiration to write new music. And This Too Shall Pass sees Makhija return to his absolute roots. He adds:- “I guess this is me at my most vulnerable. It’s just me, no incredible musicians to back me up, just me putting my expression and feelings and thoughts into songs for the world to listen to”. An extreme music old-timer Makhija has long been a crucial part of the Indian metal scene; be it founding the country’s biggest extreme metal band (Demonic Resurrection), or starting up an independent record label (with releases by Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir) or setting up a premium recording studio dedicated to extreme metal – Makhija has had an enormous role in shaping the country’s heavy music landscape. After a successful third album, which saw collaborations with Kévin Paradis (Benighted, Svart Crown), Romain Goulon (Necrophagist), Kerim Lechner (Septic Flesh, Decapitated) and David Diepold (Obscura) amongst others, Makhija has resurfaced with a brand new Demonstealer release. The release was mixed and mastered at the esteemed Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Decapitated, Vader), a first for Makhija who is otherwise known to mix all the Demonstealer releases. The glorious artwork for the EP was provided by Indonesian artist Adi Dechristianize (Embalmer, Disgorge). All music on And This Too Shall Pass has been written, played and recorded by Makhija — making it truly a solo effort — a feat he hasn’t performed since his debut album released in 2008. The re-release will include bonus EP - "Live in Madrid (2020)"! Band comments about the re-issue: Diva Satanica: "Bloodhunter was my first studio recording as a vocalist. It was a hard process during which I learned a lot and for that I'm especially fond of it. When we realized that physical copies were selling out, we started to think of the idea of making a reissue further on, as a gift to the fans, and that's how this reissue came up, with new artwork by Gustavo Sazes and 6 live bonus tracks from the concert we played in Madrid last year." Daniel Luces: "Bloodhunter, our first album, will always hold a special place in our hearts. The experience in the studio with our engineer Pedro was eye opening, and I personally learned a lot from him that shaped me both as a bass player and a sound engineer, which consequently spilled over to our second album when we took most of the engineering duties on our own hands. When considering the idea of a reissue with a new cover and layout, we decided to use the tracks from the live show we recorded in Madrid in March 2019, which I think makes a great contrast in showing where we were as a band in 2014 compared to 2019 with a second album and several big festivals under our belt. We hope everyone enjoys the new design and the bonus tracks, and maybe it also gives new fans the chance to rediscover our early work!" Dani Arcos: "We have been thinking about reissuing our first album for a while, as it has been sold out since 2015, but we didn’t want to just release it again, so we tried to record a couple of shows in order to add some live bonus tracks to this reissue. We usually have positive comments from our fans saying they love our live shows, so this is a compensation for their support in these hard moments. We have very good memories when we were recording this album with Pedro Mendes in Braga (Portugal). There were many changes in Bloodhunter since we recorded this album, but the core of the band remains the same." Credits:

The song was produced by Federico Ascari at Wavemotion Recordings. Listen "Water" HERE. Speaking about the new track, the band says: "'Water' is the second single taken from the EP called “Elements”. The song talks about the feeling of loss of a loved one. Through moments of denial and desperation, the song explores the path to deal with this feeling. This drives to the epiphany: we can’t erase the pain but the love we felt will remain as a guiding light above our choices. In order to represent this setting, a melancholy and melodic sound pervades the entire song supported by a leading orchestral section". The End At The Beginning is a Metalcore band born in Bologna (Italy) in 2011. The band released its first EP in 2012 while In 2014 released its first unsigned LP: "Appearances". In 2016 the band signed with Famined Records the release of "Revelations", the second LP. They have also started to gain international attention winning the "Unsigned Artist Of The Month" competition by Artery Recordings in April 2015 and starting to play European shows. After a long break started in 2018 that saw the leaving of the singer and guitarist, the band announces the return in 2019 with a new line-up with Nicolò Bazzani as the singer and Massimo Bontempi as the guitarist. The band has been writing new material, pushing the boundaries of the modern metal sound and incorporating strong melodic elements thanks to a particular attention in the arrangements and vocal production. Crossfaith are thrilled to announce their brand new EP SPECIES, out on May 22nd through UNFD. The five-track offering features recent single, "Endorphin," as well as today's new track "Digital Parasite." The opening track "Digital Parasite" sees the band getting "dirty and heavy. I felt an explosion from the song and I knew the lyrics should be aggressive and offensive," starts vocalist Kenta Koie as the band look at "people selling their soul to get fame. We need to be honest to the music, to ourselves and to our audience but some people are happy to start cheating and I don't care for it." "Playing heavy music is how I feel alive. We want Crossfaith to be the band making music that no one has ever heard before." And from the opening battle cry of "Digital Parasite" through the unifying anthem of "Truth of Insanity" to "Your Song"'s glitching sorrow, their SPECIES EP sees them breaking new ground. The industrial rave of "Endorphin"is about finding yourself in a world that makes you doubt everything and champions the idea of facing those questions head on while "Truth of Insanity" is a call to arms. "In Japan, there are so many contradictions from the government. There will always be a minority of people who only think about themselves but we can fight. We can think. This song is a trigger to start a war against the world of contradiction." Crossfaith have a history of working with their peers, Enter Shikari, Beartooth and Ho99o9 have all appeared on previous releases, but there are more new adventures to be had on SPECIES EP'. "None of Your Business"sees them team up with Jin Dogg, a rapper from their home town of Osaka for an explosive meeting of minds. "That song's about straight up anger. So many people are fuelled by jealousy and I know the most important thing is to push forward but those people bother me, so this song is about telling them to shut their fucking mouth. It's very straight forward," he grins. "Plus you can learn Japanese from Jin Dogg's verse." The closing track on the EP is "Your Song." No, not an Elton John cover but "the most emotional Crossfaith song of all time. It's about the emptiness and sorrow of a time that will not return," whether that's death or the loss of a friendship or a lover. "It's about farewell. I feel sadness but those emotions make me strong and teach me to not take things for granted. It's not a ballad but it is a very beautiful song. I think people will be surprised by it." And surprising people is exactly what Crossfaith want to do, even after eleven years of making music. "That's the main role of the band," promises Ken. "I hope," he continues before deciding on a more forceful word, "Actually, I believe this EP will set the course for the band for the next ten years. We've already started making more new music. We're not going to stop."
