French brutal deathcore / death metal quartet Hurakan will release their third album, "Via Aeterna", April 15th on Lacerated Enemy Records! The band has released music videos for the album's three singles, all of which can be viewed at the following links:

Statement from the Band:

"'Via Aeterna' starts a new era for Hurakan, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with all of you after two years of intensive work. We have pushed our boundaries in composition and performance, resulting in a more cohesive, organic and mature music taking the listener through different atmospheres and emotions on a blistering journey. We feel this is our biggest and most successful effort to date, 'Via Aeterna' reflects Hurakan's new state of mind, inspired by the mental problems that everyone can unfortunately endure in their lives, but also about existential issues such as death, the aftermath and the anguish it can bring."

The band's drummer, Thomas Crémier, created the sound design, recorded, re-amped, mixed and mastered the album at his studio, SoundBlast Studios.

UK-based thrashcore outfit Cage Fight share video for "Respect Ends"

21/3/2022

Picture

Hardcore / thrash band Cage Fight have released the video for new single "Respect Ends." Watch it here. The accompanying video, satisfyingly played out by Cage Fight vocalist Rachel Aspe, arrives as a warning to those that attempt to prey on others.

The singer explains:-

"This song is dedicated to men (or in fact anyone) who thinks it's ok to harass, abuse, make inappropriate comments, or not take no for an answer, both in the real world but also online. It's also a message of solidarity to those who have been victims of such behaviour. The video is symbolic of the frustration and damage this can cause, and it's something we, as a society, should not and will not accept. The final message is clear. If this is how you behave, stay the f**k away. Otherwise, you will regret it."

  3. "Killer"
  4. "Hope Castrated"
  5. "Make A Decision"

  7. "Cage Fight!"
  8. "Shine Don’t Fade"
  9. "One Minute"
  10. "Tell Me What Real Is"
  11. "Respect Ends"
  12. "Eating Me Alive" (ft. Trevor Strnad)
  13. "My Dreams"
  14. "Bitch In The Pit" (Body Count cover)

The band's debut self-titled album is due out May 13 on Candlelight. Pre-order it here. One of the most furious hardcore records to emerge from the UK in recent years, the anger and frustration of Cage Fight's self-titled debut album is the perfect catharsis for our times.

The album's artwork — a grabbing hand with the Cage Fight logo tattooed on the palm — visually portrays the violent rage at the core of the band's music. Legitimately inked by Aspe, a tattoo artist by trade, the process of creating the image is as impactful as the final artwork itself.

French ambient groove metallers Mind Imperium sign with Wormholedeath & announce "Nemesis" album

4/2/2022

Picture

Mind Imperium have signed a licensing deal with Wormholedeath for their album "Nemesis", which will be released on March 25th, 2022 worldwide. Hailing from France, Mind Imperium are a groove metal band in which powerful groove riffs blend with dark and melancholic tunes.

The band comments on the album -

"Loss begets emptiness. An infinite void feeding on our hopes, leaving only broken dreams and a growing sadness in its wake. As emptiness spreads like a disease in our mind, it reminds us that our existence is futile, that time will consume all things in the end, leaving an everlasting nothingness.

Nemesis portrays our unspeakable despair, but goes further. It is the unheard scream of our oceans stripped of all life by the hand of men, the bloodstained ashes of our forests whose life is burning away, the cub bereft of its mother’s warmth, the father without a son.

It is the incarnation of a declining world. From this despair, we draw an endless strength and our desire for revenge. We are Nemesis."

Mind Imperium is an ambient groove metal band from France, with Nogh (ex-Obnoxious, Death Of A Dryad) on lead vocals and guitars, Carol (ex-Necroblaspheme, Death Of A Dryad) on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Fabien (Paican) on drums and backing vocals.

The band began in late 2013, with a concept to create a groove metal band in which powerful groove riffs would blend with dark and melancholic ambiences. The band released its first EP – Amongst The Ruins – the same year, under the name My Imperium. Well-received by the public and the press, this first attempt allows them to play live extensively.

In 2016, after a few line-up changes and a small hiatus; while Nogh and Carol focus on other musical projects and the development of the associative label Dark Faery Records, the band resumed its live activities and started working on a full-length album. This project is inspired by artists from 19th century like Poe, Lovecraft or Chambers, but also from the works of Freud and Jung. Consequently, My Imperium becomes Mind Imperium, a name more fitting to the band’s unique universe.

In 2018, they release their first LP "Way To Carcosa", recorded at Vamacara Studio. It explores the diversity of emotions bred by the human mind when confronted with loss, whether it be symbolical or real. It also reflects Mind Imperium sustained engagement in the environmental cause, relating the album theme to damages done by mankind to the living world. In partnership with Sea Shepherd, the band releases a music video for their song 'A War Without End', to condemn the Grindadráp.

Right after their album’s release, Mind Imperium goes on tour in France and Belgium with their friends from Aeon Patronist, in support of both bands latest work. The band continues touring until COVID-19 hits, and spends the end of 2020 bringing "Nemesis" to life. Its recording takes place in Spring 2021 at Tidalwave Studio.

  • Carol Demessieux – bass guitars / backing vocals

So we now know who the winners of the GMA Awards 2021 were, but to wrap up the event in it's entirety and bid farewell to 2021 and usher in 2022, we must turn to the last bunch of awards - 'Metal Release By Country / Area'.

French modern metallist The Algorithm releases haunting new single "Cryptographic Memory"

5/12/2021

Picture

The Algorithm blends his signature glitched out electronics and strong percussion with haunting synths and heavy guitars in his newest single "Cryptographic Memory", which is available now from the independent multi-genre label FiXT.

  • Purchase / Stream:- https://outnow.io/t/cryptomem

The Algorithm's previous album Brute Force, released in 2016 by FiXT, received prominent sales and streaming success.

Picture

Apparently, I have to write something here so people have an idea of who I am. Well. My name's Rémi Gallego, I'm French, I'm 26 years old, I live in Köln (Germany) and I'm mostly known for my award-winning electronic producer name 'The Algorithm'.

So, what happened? It aaaall started during a rainy night on the first full moon of the month, a cold breeze ran into my neck as I was drinking a fine Bordeaux in front of a fireplace. Well, yeah, ok, not exactly like that. I was born in Perpignan in 1989, I had a happy, normal, childhood listening to Daft Punk and Iron Maiden while studying science and guitar. I played in a few metal bands (Sons Of Chaos, Dying Breath, Floating Wood) but quit them all as I chose to focus on my study in networks and computer science. I shortly missed playing music and this is when I began to cultivate my interest about music sequencing and computer music in general.

I started the project The Algorithm in 2009 on Myspace, and my inspirations at the time were mostly driven by a need for controlled chaos and randomness. 2 years and 2 demos later, I played my first live show at Euroblast Festival using a single midi controller APC40 and I initiated a label contract with Basick Records, which led to the release of the debut album Polymorphic Code in November 2012. I met Mike Malyan, drummer from Monuments, at the same period and we played our first live show together in February 2013 at the Camden Barfly.

While progressively playing more shows more often in Europe, Australia (Big Day Out), Japan, Nepal, Israel, and many other countries. I also wrote music for the world's biggest sports TV channel ESPN, video games like Super Mutant Alien Assault or Hacknet, produced a lot of remixes of bands like Born of Osiris, Igorrr or Daft Punk, and helped shape the production value of musician and bands all around the world.

After the release of the second full album Octopus4 in June 2014, Jean Ferry from Uneven Structure replaced Mike Malyan on drums, I got endorsed by Keith McMillen, Line 6 and I picked up an Aristides guitar, all of this with a general goal to bring more musicianship and humanity to the mechanism of the computer music of the future.

In 2016 I joined Celldweller's label FiXT and released my third full length album Brute Force in April. This was followed by tours in Europe, Canada, and China as well as Festival shows at Graspop Metal Meeting, Brutal Assault, and many others.

End of 2016 and early 2017 Brute Force got two DLC expansions with the titles Brute Force: Overclock and Brute Force: Source Code. These DLC are a journey through the dark and warm corners of the Brute Force concept. Writing an album with a consistent atmosphere sometimes means some ideas have to be left off or just cannot be exploited to their fullest. More than a collection of tracks that didn't make it on the album, these EPs are an extension, another perspective on the Brute Force story.

The story continues...

French grinders Massive Charge unveil lyric video for "Capitalism Excesses"

French grinders Massive Charge release lyric video for "Capitalism Excesses", taken from the upcoming album For Those We Hate (out on November 19, 2021 via Music-Records).

Watch the video on Music-Records official YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/h4KeWVfLG60
For Those We Hate is available for pre-order: https://bit.ly/3BuuJLI

Massive Charge was formed in 2004 in Lorraine, the band plays old-school grindcore in the vein of Napalm Death, Brutal Truth or Terrorizer. After a number of concerts mainly in eastern France, the first album, "Silence" was self-released in 2007. The dates will then follow one another, on increasingly important posters.

In 2011, the album Charge This World saw the light of day, still in self-production, and enabled the group to perform concerts and festivals in Europe, alongside bands like Total Fucking Destruction, Rotten Sound, Blockheads, Mumakil, Benighted, Aborted, Nasum, Suffocation, Feastem, Kill the Client, The Arson Project, Brutal Turth, etc...

After a downtime, following the departure of the guitarist / composer in 2015, and some line-up changes, but still with the same rage, the group has composed a brand new album, in line with the previous one, which will be released at the end of 2021, and which promises to win some jaws.

French prog metallers Moonshine Oversight sign with Wormholedeath and announce "The Frame" album

12/7/2021

Picture

French Progressive metal combo Moonshine Oversight have signed a deal with Wormholedeath for the release of their concept album "The Frame".

"The Frame" will be out on 05 11 2021 on all digital platforms worldwide. CD release TBA.

Band statement:

"Moonshine Oversight are very proud to be part of the WormHoleDeath artists. We hope that our collaboration will lead to great things. We would like to thank the label for their trust."

Band statement about the album:

"The Frame" is a concept album about a protagonist living in a dystopian system where certain values have been hijacked creating a world where ultra-competition, ultra-individualism and over-consumption are virtues. To not want to be part of it or to fail, is to be part of the "misfits". Each song describes the dogmas of this System through the eyes of the protagonist who progressively questions its workings and its "virtues", until his exclusion from the System for his contrary thoughts.
The album ends with an injunction from the protagonist to change the System and to join him in this change."

Hailing from Toulon, Moonshine Oversight is an alternative rock / progressive metal band founded in late 2014. Connected to the rock / metal scene, the band stands out for its progressive approach, borrowing the energy of rock, the power of metal, and even the delicacy of folk, creating powerful, introspective, and personal music. The band released their first demo EP in mid-2016, including a preliminary version of four songs from their upcoming debut album as well, and began playing numerous concerts in France.

In 2017, the band began recording their debut album at CoxInHell Recording Studio in Saint-Aygulf( France) with producer Anthony Belguise. The tracks were mixed by Sebastien Gros and the album mastered by François Fanelli at Sonics-Mastering Studio (Marseille, France). "Vanishing Lines", the band's debut LP, was released on December 8, 2017.

This first effort was well received by the music press and the band started a French tour in April 2018. In 2019, WormHoleDeath, an independent label specializing in metal music, discovered the band and offered to join them. This is how the band started to compose our second album. At the beginning of 2020, the drummer Julien Sorel left the band for personal reasons and was quickly replaced by François Mayer, a drummer with a solid experience.

At the end of 2020, the band finished the composition and during the month of February 2021, they recorded it in Italy in Pistoia at The Grid Europe studio directed and produced by Jonathan Mazzeo. The band is ready to share its music with the support of the label WormHoleDeath and to introduce the album with a video clip with the song "Ghosts", the first single from their second album: "The Frame".

“We are thrilled to announce that we are now part of the Napalm Records family. We thank the label team for the warm welcome and are so excited to work with such a dedicated and professional record company!

We spent the last year working on our 8th album, which is for sure the most amazing record we have written and produced so far. You better get prepared for something you have never heard from us before. Something new is coming! We thank our great fans for their trust and endless support and look forward to the cooperation with Napalm Records. Stronger together!”

After putting their stamp on the metal scene with their unique blend of metal and neckbreaking grooves, relentlessly touring and sharing the stage with legendary acts like Metallica, Machine Head, and In Flames, Dagoba’s new single “The Hunt'' features their most ambitious material yet. Punishing vocals, groove and modern metal infused guitars and hard-hitting production make this song feel like Dagoba are on top of their game, pushing their boundaries and incorporating electronic elements seamlessly into their groove metal formula!

“The Hunt” will be available as a stand-alone single, as well as a strictly limited 7” Vinyl that features an exclusive remix of the track, showcasing how far Dagoba can take their electronic influences on their upcoming material – a must-have for true fans of modern metal!
