After spending some time with the brothers relatives in the deep south of Louisiana bayou, taught how to make moonshine, fixin old rusty cars, fishing and of course playing some music with the locals. They went back home to deliver a heavy mix of hard rock, metal, hardcore and a twist of blues or as they say Hillbilly metal.

Their debut single “Hillbilly For Life” was self released in 2015, produced by Kristoffer Folin at Purple Skull Media in Stockholm. Followed by a music video available on YouTube. Since then they have been touring around Sweden and played at some of the biggest Rock Festivals such at Sweden Rock Festival and Skogsröjet. They also toured the USA in 2015 travelling from east to west through of course the south.

Now the fearsome Swedes unleash their new music video 'Blood Sweat & Shine' - watch here

Fearless present a full energy live show hard to forget topped with self-designed instruments in the form of a pitchfork guitar, a shovel bass and a tractor like drum kit. Fearless musical influences are: Hellyeah, Black Label Society, Texas Hippie Coalition, Lamb of God, Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Kiss.

Crack open that bottle of Jack Daniels and chew on some straw.

Anciients are now premiering their complete forthcoming full length 'Voice of the Void' which has been scheduled for release on October 14th.

The album is exclusively streaming via the official media partners listed below.

Metal Obsession (AU)
Spark (CZ)
Deaf Forever (DE)
Noise (FR)
Rocking (GR)
Lángoló Gitárok (HU)
Andfari (IS)
Metalitalia (IT)
Never Mind The Hype (NL)
Kvlt (PL)
Terrorizer (UK)

Guitarist and vocalist Chris Dyck comments on behalf of the band:

"For me, 'Voice of the Void' is the logical progression, musically and lyrically from 'Heart of Oak'. It goes further in each direction that we explored on the debut. Heavy parts are heavier, fast parts are faster and so forth. In terms of theme and lyrics, this record is far more cynical and less hopeful than the debut. It metaphorically addresses some life choices and paths, and what we see happening in the world. It is a darker and more pissed off album. I feel like we have hit our stride and I am stoked as hell to get on the road and play these songs live. Thanks to everyone for all the support so far!"

Tracklisting

1. Following the Voice
2. Buried in Sand
3. Worshipper
4. Pentacle
5. Descending
6. Ibex Eye
7. My Home, My Gallows
8. Serpents
9. Incantations

You want an album that delivers smoking hot rock and delicious heaviness in equal measure? 'Voice of the Void' does exactly that. An avalanche of brilliant riffs comes crashing down your speakers, driven by a relentlessly pounding rhythm section. Vancouver's Anciients have no time to spare, no fillers, no hesitation, they are just pushing and pulling and banging those heads from start to finish.

With their sophomore opus 'Voice of the Void', the Canadians are fulfilling all the glorious promises that 'Heart of Oak' (2013) already made. In comparison to their critically acclaimed debut full-length, which already contained the musical equivalent of the warm flow, solid earthiness, and beautifully dark undertones of whisky matured in ancient oak casks within an intoxicating song-writing, the new songs have exponentially boosted the tasty formula unique to this band.

Zakk Wylde debuts "Sleeping Dogs" Fe

25/8/2016

Guitar icon Zakk Wylde has debuted an all new music video for his latest single "Sleeping Dogs" featuring Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor. The track has gone on to become the most successful active rock radio single of Wylde's career reaching as high as #22 in the U.S. and #11 in Canada. Directed by long time collaborator Justin Reich, the video can be seen here.

The new video is being released on the heels of Zakk Wylde's memorable performance in Glendale, AZ  opening up for Guns N' Roses last week on their current "Not In This Lifetime" tour.

Zakk Wylde is currently on the tail end of a a U.S. and Canadian tour in continued support of his new LP, Book Of Shadows II. Wylde is hitting over 40 cities spread out across the U.S. and Canada which included a highlighted performance at Heavy MTL Festival in Montreal on August 7th, a first for him as a solo artist. Tickets are on sale now
here, including VIP upgrades in all markets. Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and Jared James Nichols will serve as support.

Wylde will continue touring through the end of October, this time with Zakk Sabbath serving as support for Clutch. Zakk Sabbath includes himself, bassist Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzing, QOTSA) performing only BLACK SABBATH songs. Click
here for more info.

Book Of Shadows II was released on April 8th, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music), Zakk Wylde's first solo release in 20 years. This release is the highly anticipated follow up to 1996’s Book of Shadows LP, a classic album Wylde released between his work with Ozzy Osbourne that has since become a fan favourite. The album debuted at #2 on the Independent Chart, #3 on the Rock Chart and # 6 on the Current Albums Chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The fearlessly introspective melancholy and melody of Book of Shadows helped to make its follow-up one of Rolling Stone’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2016. As fierce and diverse as his work in Black Label Society and as large as his accomplishments as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne have been, Book of Shadows II offers an even richer look into the spirit and psyche of one of the most beloved pillars of the hard rock community. Brand new tracks like “Sleeping Dogs,” “Tears of December,” “Darkest Hour,” “Harbors of Pity,” and “The King” are bold proclamations of intense feeling and powerful catharsis.

Zakk Wylde’s powerful pipes, mayhem-inducing charisma, mischievous humour, and instantly recognizable pinch-harmonic driven blues based histrionic guitar shredding have made him the world’s most beloved American Guitar Hero.

Mexico's Excellion stream new EP "Unsean" ahead of release‏

Mexican metal quartet, Excellion, stream their new, fourth EP titled Unsean ahead of its release which is set for August 6th.

Speaking about the level of creativity the new EP reaches compared with the previous efforts, bassist and backing vocalist Adrian Vilbel commented:

“On ‘Unsean' you can find this maturity in the sound that is very unique actually, all instruments converge in a way that it just was’t in our previous releases, that’s why this new material it’s really a breakthrough for us.

“We were trying to express ourselves in the way we felt at the moment when we moved to Mexico City, it was a moment to adapt and learn a new way to live, so we felt the urgency to write some riffs and melodies that made people feel those expressions, that’s how the whole concept came to mind,” he continues.

Unsean is the fourth EP release the band put out to date, and it was originally planned to be a full-length release, but Excellion decided to split it in two shorter releases. Vilbel also talked about the reasons behind that decision.

“Nowadays it’s kind of hard that a person listen to a full album from the beginning to the end. There would be a lot to digest and they just don’t want that, at least a lot of people, so yeah, ‘Unsean’ was actually a full-length, but we wanted people to give the same weight to every song and not just one or two. We wanted to write songs with high quality too and not just fillers so we decided to make this release in two parts. This is part one and you can expect part two some time around 2017. This way people can sit and listen the whole EP and it’ll be easy to digest too.”

Unsean is out on August 6. Listen to the EP in its entirety through a YouTube stream. The EP is available from iTunes and Google Play.

MEMENTO MORI
Out September 23!

Get a first taste of the new album HERE.

--

“Mortality closes in.
Evils of fanatic religion.
21st century imperialism.
Destruction campaign against the earth.
Immortal idols pass away.
Cancer in our minds.
In our way of life.
In the veins of those we honor the most.
It is in our darkest times we realize how swiftly life can end.
We all die.
Everything dies.
Memento Mori.”

Picture

In a time when threats of religious hostility and environmental decay loom heavily over the world, we have no choice but to acknowledge the inevitability of death. Not only does it spread fear, stigma and hatred, but it also reminds us of the grasp our own mortality has on us. Death is just a heartbeat away and our fear of the unknown is apparent now more than ever. Thus the title "Memento Mori" (Latin: remember that you must die).

The heavy rock powerhouse Sahg have since their beginnings in 2004 delivered grade-A hard rock of the fist bumping and heavy-leaded sort. When elements hoisted from the depths of doom converge with the realm of progressive rock, one can draw parallels to greats such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Mastodon. Sahg procure a unique blend of the aforementioned while resting firmly on a heavy metal base. The crisp sound on their fifth and latest effort "Memento Mori" defies the idea of simple genre categorization in favour of delivering a damn good heavy metal album!

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). The fearsome foursome are not stopping anytime soon. “Our drive to bring heavy metal back has not lessened,” concludes Michael Starr. “It’s actually gotten stronger. We’re not going to stop. Last in Australia for Soundwave 2015, the band played main stages at the festival and drew massive numbers to their bombastic set, simultaneously offending and salaciously delighting all in attendance. In recent times, they have almost entirely sold out their UK tour, which included Wembley Stadium and played main stage at Download Festival.
