Turkish heavy metallers Pentagram premier their new music video "Damn The War" here: https://youtu.be/aYaIE50Hcwg Tarkan Gozubuyuk, Bassist, states:- "After the Turkish military coup in 1980, we were misfit kids in an authoritarian environment. The music reached out and offered the liberty to express our frustration in a civilized way. We’ve always looked up to great legends and aspired to be like them. Becoming a band was our primary objective. We yearned to mature into fine musicians and belong in the music scene we love. It’s been the case ever since. Fortunately, we’ve endured long enough to see our work relate to a younger generation and feel like a ring of the chain that binds us. Our style is mostly identified with its blend of Anatolian music with heavy metal. The upcoming record is about our generation who still lives under the shadow of guns. We've reunited with all former members for our last stand along the purpose against fascism, with music as our only weapon. The songs on the album are monuments of faith, gratitude, passion, conceit, failure, acceptance and regret in one's life. We were fortunate enough to feature a timeless master, Erkan Ogur on 'baritone fretless guitar' and 'kopuz'; along with Cahit Berkay from the legendary Mogollar, playing the 'yaylı tambur'. Music is a language, magically native to everyone. The world's most ancient tradition and a loyal comrade in each one's own personal struggle. It unites us in shared feelings and insight. We're devoted to this tradition because we trust in its virtue that sustains our grip in life. Besides, it's so much fun, making it more convincing than anything else." Demir Demirkan, Guitarist, adds:- "It's a very unique experience, really. Think about it, a 30 year old heavy metal band reuniting with all of its members on an acoustic "best of" album in 2017. On top of that, touring with 9 people on stage for 5 years and collaborating on a new album with all of the 9 members. Honestly, I do believe that Makina Elektrika is the most collaborative work that I've done in my life, considering 9 members creating together! I'd also like to note that most of the members have had very successful solo careers in performing, producing, film making and in celebrity circles in the past years. Now when we're on the bus or backstage, studio or stage we all drop our last names and find an environment to express our individualities freely just like how we did decades ago when we were in our twenties. I believe it is the magic of that brotherhood that makes Pentagram what it is, and this new album is flooded with emotion, talent, experience, mastery and love."
Pentagram is a heavy metal act from Istanbul, performing since 1987. After several changes in the line up over the decades, the band reunited with all former members for their continued stand against fascism, with music as their weapon. The reunion was intended to be exclusively for an acoustic album, a live tour and a concert video to celebrate Pentagram's 30th anniversary, in 2017. However, the healing outcome of this gathering has driven the band to make their 8th studio record, Makina Elektrika, as a 9-piece band, with four lead singers. The upcoming album Makina Elektrika drops September 9th via Sony Music. A blend of Anatolian music with heavy metal, the album consists of English and Turkish lyric songs and an instrumental track. All songs were written by Pentagram, except two cover tributes; "Dunya" by Yavuz Cetin (a fellow musician who passed away in 2001) and "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica, in memory of Cliff Burton.

Portuguese all-female metal band Black Widows released a second single and music video from their upcoming second studio album "Among The Brave Ones" which is set to be released on October 21st 2022 via Finnish label Inverse Records.
Vocalist/guitarist Rute Fevereiro comments: "More than ten years ago, during a break with Black Widows and when I decided to think about my musical life, I made several songs. Among the Brave Ones theme comes from that period of creativity. At the time, it didn't have that name but it awakened in me a sense of resilience and freedom. When I proposed this theme for us to work on as a band, Black Widows liked it and improved it substantially, giving their input as musicians. Among the Brave Ones was the name given to this theme and the album. This song is about our band returning stronger and more powerful than ever . It honours the brave artists and has many musicians guests promoting our video, as you will see. Are you ready for what's to come?" The band will be unleashing their fifth studio album "The Blood of Creation" this coming fall on November 4th and they are excited to share its cover artwork and track listing listed below along with the record's teaser at https://youtu.be/V-9Cr-ABE3I "This album is quite dark topically, the lyrics speak of war, fear, sacrifice, and pain, and the music although very classical and explorative also has some very evil moments throughout. We were in a dark place due to the pandemic and the music reflects some of those emotions." adds guitarist / vocalist Chris Osterman. "The Blood of Creation" follows Iron Kingdom's highly praised 2019 full-length "On The Hunt", which took the band to new heights with tours across Canada, the USA, and Europe along with topping the Canadian loud radio charts at #5 (Earshot) and garnering such reviews as "Holy Shit! Have you heard Iron Kingdom's On the Hunt? If you haven't you are missing out on one of the coolest albums of 2019. 10/10" (Keeper Magazine),"Classic sound, modern feel" Powerplay Magazine (UK), "a glorious gallop of foot on the monitor, traditional heavy metal that will have NWOBHM fans drooling. 9/10" (Metal Gods TV) and "40 minutes of enjoyable no-frills classic metal." (Angry Metal Guy). "The Blood of Creation" continues the reign of classic heavy metal that Iron Kingdom has been presenting over the years to music lovers of the style along with keeping the flame burning for a new generation. "We wanted to create music in a style of metal that seemed to have been forgotten when we were kids. Since no one else seemed to be doing it, we decided to play metal the way it used to be played in the 70s and 80s. That was the reason for forming Iron Kingdom. Essentially, we wanted to give people an exciting show like an early Iron Maiden, Scorpions, or Saxon show from the 1980s." recalls Osterman on the beginnings of the band. Iron Kingdom has come a long way since their 2011 debut "Curse Of The Voodoo Queen" and their next offering is a potent full force of classic shredding heavy metal thunder and will take the fans into some unique fantastic worlds, but will also show a dark side of storytelling. "I think we started as a bit more of a hard rock band on the first record, taking a progressive metal dive for Gates Of Eternity and Ride For Glory, then for On The Hunt, I’d say we went fully classic metal, leading into this new record being a pretty solid mix of all those styles combined. We also came out of the pandemic, which brought some darker emotions some people may have never experienced previously that I think this album may parallel. In the end though, we want people to get the chance to escape this world for a time and find solace in the music." adds Osterman. The new album also sees new drummer Max Friesen (ex-Ophelia Falling) making his recording debut with the band to add another angle to their song writing for this release. The album was self-produced by Iron Kingdom with mixing done by Andy Boldt and mastering by Greg Reely (Overkill, Fear Factory, 3 Inches of Blood). Recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, and Saxon, the album pre-order for "The Blood of Creation" is available at the following links: In additional news, Iron Kingdom have announced their album launch show for November 4th in Vancouver, BC, hosted by the Invisible Orange at the Wise Hall. Mexican heavy metal band Sagreveht have signed a deal with Wormholedeath for their debut album "Thanatology", due for release on September 16th, 2022. "Thanatology" deals with lyricist composer and vocalist Hiram López personal compilation of interests such as movies, literature, and most of all psychology and the scientific study of death and losses in the forensic field, due to the musician’s health state as well as the COVID-19 pandemic while writing and recording the album during summer of 2021. Sagreveht was founded by Hiram López and Aldo Hernández during the summer of 2021, in Culiacán Sinaloa, a bloody, violent, and hot city located in Mexico’s northwest. The original idea behind Sagreveht’s music was just to have fun and keep Hiram’s mind out of his recently (at the time) diagnosed cancer and the treatment he was going through as well as the pandemic situation happening globally. They recorded their debut album “Thanatology” in Hiram´s bedroom and released it locally, but due to the overwhelmingly good response, the project had various local musicians joining the band such as Sócrates González and Feryn D Diaz on guitars, and Hugo Félix on bass. During the winter of 2022, they got signed by Wormholedeath to promote their debut album this being a game-changer for the band in the foreseeable future. Line Up:
sagreveht.bandcamp.com/releases Almost a year after their first full-length album "Valley Of The Kings", the Swiss old school metallers Crashtime have released their new single / video 'Black Tied Deceiver'. As usual, Crashtime offer full concentrated metal power in the style of the 80s/90s, but with influences of today's metal. The song tells the story of Black Tied Deceivers, who are responsible for arms trade, human trafficking, and other illegal activities. The band made huge efforts into this record and the modern power loaded lyric video reflects both, the violence that underlies the Black Tied Deceivers, and the bad feelings of the victims - mirroring the events. These kinds of stories are characteristic for Crashtime, because they often touch on current or social topics, but always with wide scope for personal interpretations. Crashtime has established a reputation for their old-school metal in the Swiss metal scene. People are relegated back to the 80s/90s, but with powerful sound and a modern touch. So the many old school metal fans are able to hear something new again. Line-up:
The line-up of Crashtime didn’t get together by chance, because three out of the five band members knew each other since teenage years. The foundation for the current line-up was laid between 1985 and 1987. Through the years it became a consistent old-school metal band, who was successfully performing live during the last 14 years. Based on this long-termed friendship, the band is a well-rehearsed team. Endless classic Metal power, that's the elixir, which fans and friends are longing for. Old and new songs invite the audience to sing along and join in. So every gig becomes a big party and leaves satisfied spectators at home. Crashtime are already looking forward to the COVID-free time and to be back on stage soon! Crashtime 2022. Lord of darkness Ozzy Osbourne confirms new album "Patient Number 9" will be released 9th September26/6/2022 Ozzy is back. Mark September 9 on your calendar as the release date for "Patient Number 9", Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne’s new album and the first since his critically acclaimed, worldwide, chart-topping 2020 "Ordinary Man" release. The album’s self-titled first single and video have today (Friday, June 24) been released worldwide. Listen to “Patient Number 9” here and watch the video Grammy winner and multiple Grammy nominee Todd McFarlane-directed here. “Having worked with Ozzy in the past, I jumped at another opportunity to do so again…especially on the music side this time,” Todd McFarlane says. “In the harsh business called the music industry, any creative person who’s sustained a multi-decades career has shown the skill, talent and tenacity that will always garner my admiration. Ozzy has shown many of us creative folks that it’s indeed possible to make a living doing what you love for nearly an entire lifetime. Go, Ozzy!” Produced by Andrew Watt (who handled the same duties on Ordinary Man) and set for release on Epic, the new album marks Osbourne’s 13th solo studio album. It’s heavy, it’s hard-hitting, it’s historic--it’s everything you’d want from an Ozzy Osbourne record and maybe more. “Patient Number 9” was written by Ozzy, Watt, Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith and Ali Tamposi and features a riveting solo from legendary guitarist Jeff Beck (one of the notable guest stars on the album, additional details below). The video marks the first collaboration from the project with Emmy-and Grammy-winning director/producer Todd McFarlane. It is highlighted by McFarlane’s signature illustrations interspersed with live Ozzy vignettes in the role of “Patient Number 9,” which the revolutionary creative force in the world of comics and toys also filmed. In addition, this is the first-ever video to incorporate Ozzy’s artwork: his hand-drawn demons were animated and can be seen during the Jeff Beck solo in the song. Working with producer Watt for the second time, Ozzy welcomed a dynamic A-list supporting cast. The record boasts guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and longstanding righthand man and six-string beast Zakk Wylde who plays on the majority of the tracks. For the bulk of the album, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers held down drums, while the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters made an appearance. Old friend and one-time Ozzy band member Robert Trujillo of Metallica plays bass on most of the album’s tracks, with Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction supplying bass on a few songs. For the first time ever, Black Sabbath co-founder, guitarist, and riff-lord Tony Iommi appears on an Ozzy solo album. An exclusive version of "Patient Number 9" with a limited-edition special McFarlane-designed comic book will be available for pre-order; a limited-edition comic with foil cover is also available with a special deluxe box. Both can be pre-ordered here. Pre-order PATIENT NUMBER 9 here.
OZZY OSBOURNE ON ‘PATIENT NUMBER 9’ Q: This is your first album to be released after the pandemic. What was going through your mind during the early days of the pandemic and are any of those feelings reflected in these songs? OZZY: “Well, I was vaccinated and boosted and I still caught Covid in the end. My last album (Ordinary Man) was released just a few weeks before the pandemic started, and I was just about getting ready to go into the studio to work on this new one when the world shut down. It’s no secret that the last four years have been very difficult for me but making this album took my mind off of my problems.” Q: The album features some players with whom have history. What was it like to be reunited with Tony Iommi musically? OZZY: “It was really great working with Tony. He’s the riff master. No one can touch him in that respect. I only wish we had these songs for Black Sabbath’s 13 album.” Q: Zakk contributes a lot on this album--how was the decision made to have him play since he didn’t play on the last album? OZZY: “Zakk is part of my family and always will be. The album needed that weight that his playing provides. He just came in and really sorted things out.” Q: Tell us about the first single, “Patient Number 9,” which features Jeff Beck. What do you feel he has contributed to the song? OZZY: “The song is about a mental institution. Having someone like Jeff Beck play on my album is just incredible, a total honuor. There’s no other guitar player that plays like him and his solo on ‘Patient Number 9’ is just jaw-dropping.” Indian heavy metallers Illucia to release new album "A New Reign" & video "Walls Of Desire"12/6/2022 Illucia is a heavy metal act from Bangalore, India. Get the digital album at their bands Bandcamp page here: https://illuciaindia.bandcamp.com/music "Tripwire" is the second stand-alone single from Perfect NME, following 2021 full length album "Remains To Be Seen". The song has all the trademarks of a Perfect NME song - heavy riffs, a healthy blend of intense and organic, a large chorus - all delivered within a diverse musical framework. Lyrically, it deals with the inevitability of change, of trying to move on and the scars it can leave us with. Perfect NME are currently hard at work on the follow up to their debut album. More details to come! After years spent carefully honing their sound and live performances, Perfect NME have proved themselves a force to be reckoned with. Their debut album «Remains to be Seen» was released to critical acclaim and helped pave the way forward. Hard grooves, atmosphere, blistering instrumental work, aggression and melody are the keywords. Born from a desire to transcend more traditional metal genres, Perfect NME first saw the light of day in 2014. From the start the members’ diverse musical backgrounds helped sow the seeds to create something unique, and with a conscious view to moulding these various influences into a new kind of monster, incorporating elements of modern metal, thrash, in-your-face beats and big choruses, Perfect NME have managed to forge a sound identifiable and relevant, while staying true to their musical inspirations. 7 years on, and the band have seen two ep’s and a full album all released to great reviews; 2014’s self-titled “Perfect NME”, 2015’s “Monument”, and the debut album «Remains to be Seen», released via Wormholedeath records. The band have played numerous gigs up and down the length of Norway, both as support for larger acts and as headliner, earning them a reputation as a solid live band and attracting a large support base. They have been frequently featured in the press and have received radio play rotation. The band partnered with Wormholedeath records for the release and worldwide distribution of their debut album "Remains to be Seen". The album, pre-produced at Ronnie Le’tekrø’s (tnt) studio captures the essence of the band and its vision, and also includes the song «legion» with special guest vocals by Bjørn Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra). Thematic at its core, «Remains to be Seen» covers much musical ground, yet remains a cohesive metal experience, while lyrically exploring the concept of loss and its lingering influence on the present. The band is currently working on the follow up album, and are also set to release several singles in the near future. With the release of «Remains to be Seen», and with the follow up album in the works, Perfect NME are poised to take their brand of metal to a wider audience, both at home and abroad, and have set their sights firmly on the future.
