Japanese metal band Bridear have returned with news of their brand new album, Aegis Of Athena, coming next month, alongside an earth-shaking single. ‘Ray Of Chaos’ soars in on feedback and a crushing riff, before unfolding into a melodic epic with the kind of guitar punch that metal fans will love… all topped off with Kimi’s sweetly sensual vocals.
Aegis of Athena is a blistering 11-track opus perfectly blending traditional heavy metal, progressive arrangements, and addictive J-rock hooks. Kimi describes the new album as “an ambitious balance of what inspires us – the new wave of British heavy metal and traditional hard rock bands with strong melodies,” while bassist Haru claims “The arrangements and song writing are really powerful. It will be amazing to play these new songs live!” And ‘Ray Of Chaos’ is a brilliant example of what makes this new album such a huge leap on for the band. “It’s definitely one of our best songs,” says rhythm guitarist Ayumi. “It's a powerful declaration of carving our path and getting the last laugh on those who never believed in us. Bluesy and heavy guitar riffs with a strength conveyed in the lead vocals unlike anything we have done.” Aegis Of Athena is the band’s fifth album, and the second to be available internationally via their deal with Setsuzoku Records. Having become the first Japanese band to tour internationally since the pandemic struck, they won huge amounts of British and European fans last autumn whilst touring their critically acclaimed Bloody Bride album. That record showcased to international fans Bridear’s metallic sonic assault and stunning technical prowess, marrying sincere lyrics with blazing guitars and insatiable pop hooks. Brimming with big riffs and even bigger hooks all tastefully laced with modern metal characteristics, both Aegis Of Athena and Bloody Bride feature furious thrash passages, blistering lead lines and irresistible melodic sensibilities, showcasing J-metal like you’ve never heard it before. Taking on some experimental/progressive influences and merging them with brutal screams, and masterful melodies, Beijing-based modern metalcore outlet Life Awaits are introducing their brand-new single, 'New World Sanity'. The official lyrical video for the track is now exclusively premiering through Dreambound YouTube channel, and is now released worldwide on various music streaming platforms via Famined Records. Stream / purchase 'New World Sanity' here: https://sym.ffm.to/newworldsanity Life Awaits is a 4-piece Post-Hardcore/Alt- Rock band from Beijing, China. Established in May 2015, the band gained massive attention since their first single 'In Descent' same year in September. Although the band is at it’s new-born stage, the band members have experience performing with their former bands all around Asia. This is part of the reason why the band has been named for “The most anticipated and international Chinese metal/hardcore band”. In April, 2017, the band released their music video 'You' which grabbed more than 600 reposts and over hundred thousands of views. The music video was also released on Dreambound’s Youtube Channel and reached over 100k views within a week which also helped to the band to gain significant global recognition. On June 3, 2017, Life Awaits released their debut album "Waves". 'New World Sanity is out now on all streaming platforms Follow LIFE AWAITS on Facebook Hardcore / thrash band Cage Fight have released the video for new single "Respect Ends." Watch it here. The accompanying video, satisfyingly played out by Cage Fight vocalist Rachel Aspe, arrives as a warning to those that attempt to prey on others. The singer explains:- "This song is dedicated to men (or in fact anyone) who thinks it's ok to harass, abuse, make inappropriate comments, or not take no for an answer, both in the real world but also online. It's also a message of solidarity to those who have been victims of such behaviour. The video is symbolic of the frustration and damage this can cause, and it's something we, as a society, should not and will not accept. The final message is clear. If this is how you behave, stay the f**k away. Otherwise, you will regret it."
The band's debut self-titled album is due out May 13 on Candlelight. Pre-order it here. One of the most furious hardcore records to emerge from the UK in recent years, the anger and frustration of Cage Fight's self-titled debut album is the perfect catharsis for our times. The album's artwork — a grabbing hand with the Cage Fight logo tattooed on the palm — visually portrays the violent rage at the core of the band's music. Legitimately inked by Aspe, a tattoo artist by trade, the process of creating the image is as impactful as the final artwork itself.

For Fans Of: Invent, Animate; Make Them Suffer; Spiritbox Motionless In White announce new album "Scoring The End Of The World" + share "Cyberhex" video13/3/2022 Motionless In White have announced their anxiously awaited new full-length album, "Scoring The End Of The World", set for release on June 10, 2022. It is available to pre-save on all streaming platforms today with exclusive merch bundles available for pre-order in the band's official store. To herald its arrival, the Scranton, PA quintet have also shared the first single "Cyberhex," which is available on all streaming platforms and joined by an official music video directed by the band's guitarist Ricky Olson and Logan Beaver — now live on the band's official YouTube channel. Vocalist Chris Motionless elaborated on the ambitious new project stating: "'Cyberhex' is my love letter to you, our fans, for everything you have done for me over the course of some of the most mentally taxing few years I've had to go through. At times where I felt like my world was ending, as well as the world around us, it was always in my mind that I was able to turn to the special relationship we have created together for help, and I cannot thank you enough for that. Outside of my own personal experiences, it has been equally as fulfilling to me to see that in the face of tireless forces that continue to try and perpetuate hatred and negativity towards so many of us coexisting on this planet, we have all stood together to resist and fight back knowing that love and compassion will always prevail. We ARE the resistance. We ARE Cyberhex. I love you. Thank you." On "Cyberhex," an ominous synth melody snaps like the click of a trigger into a pummelling glitchy guitar riff as vocalist Chris Motionless warns, "There's no tomorrow." His apocalyptic verses give way to a robotic sample, "Initiate Cyberhex," before the cataclysmically catchy chorus takes hold. Strings pierce the militaristic bridge, and screams cut through the chaos. In what may be their most cinematic visual yet, the story of the song comes to life on-screen under Olson's deft direction. "Scoring The End Of The World" fully encompasses the expanse of the band's dynamic, deep, and dark vision, and marks the band's first full-length body of work in three years since 2019's Disguise. The latter has quietly made a major impact on rock music and culture. The single "Another Life" stands out as their most-streamed song ever with over 23 million YouTube views on the music video. The record claimed a spot on Loudwire's "50 Best Metal Albums of 2019," plus it ignited the creative renaissance that would set the stage for the statement-making Scoring The End of the World. Last year, Motionless In White unleashed the standalone single "Timebomb." It has gathered 5.7 million Spotify streams and 1.6 million YouTube views on the music video. https://www.facebook.com/motionlessinwhite German metalcore shooting stars Breathe Atlantis announce that their new album Overdrive, will be out March 18th via Arising Empire. Pre-order the record, which comes in limited coloured vinyl and bundles here. The band has shared the video for "Break the Silence", watch it here. The song is an earworm that will have fans singing along. Guitarist Jan Euler talks about the music video:- "With 'Break the Silence', we mercilessly reckon with our past. For us, the song is a catharsis of all the things inside of us that have held us back too many times, and it's a turning point from stagnation and passivity. In the past, we often got in our own way trying to express ourselves and we also let to many people tell us what to do. This has come to an end and the brutality and rawness of the song shows the inner struggle to finally break away from all the bad habits and speak for ourselves." Overdrive serves as a true arrival for Breathe Atlantis. The album was produced by Andy Posdziech (Any Given Day). Breathe Atlantis have played countless shows with the likes of Sum 41, Memphis May Fire, Attila, Bury Tomorrow, Crossfaith, and beyond. Over time, the band has developed its catchy songs that encourage sing-alongs, with brutal mosh parts and that don't sugar-coat anything. BREATHE ATLANTIS ARE:
Australian metalcore outfit Northlane drop new single "Plenty"; new album 'Obsidian' out 1st April2/2/2022 Australia's heavy trailblazers Northlane have shared the visualizer for the new song "Plenty." Watch and listen here. The song appears on their forthcoming sixth album, Obsidian, set for release on April 1, 2022 via Believe. Pre-order it here. One of the more classic Northlane-sounding tracks on Obsidian, "Plenty" is a bleak look at forsaking reincarnation, with its perplexing time-signature bookending a delicately soaring chorus. As frontman Marcus Bridge wrestles with the idea of another go at life, the sentiment will stay with you long after the final breakdown fades away. Bridge states that:- "'Plenty' is a song of pessimism and looks at the idea of reincarnation. As we watch the world deteriorate day by day, it becomes harder to see a way out and begs the question: If I was to start again from the beginning, if I could have a fresh start, would I take that opportunity? At this stage, I've had plenty." Plenty follows the November release of "Echo Chamber." Watch the video here. If you had to sum up Northlane in a word, it would be resilient. In their 12-year career, the four-piece has weathered the kind of storms that would have seen most other bands bow out of the game. Yet through every bout of turbulence, Northlane emerges on the other side with fortitude and a trailblazing body of work that shifts the tectonic plates of heavy music around the globe. Emboldened by the success of their 2019 award-winning album, Alien, Northlane's new offering, Obsidian, is their most expansive and dynamic album yet. Self-recorded and self-produced with the help of their long-time collaborator Chris Blancato, the sound Northlane have been working towards over the span of their career has been fully realised on Obsidian. Sonically spanning the gamut of their entire discography, Northlane's trademark heavy comfortably coexists with techno, drum and bass, intriguing synths, perplexing time signatures, and widescreen choruses. It's this fearless evolution that keeps Northlane light years ahead of everyone else in heavy music. Earlier this year, Northlane gave us a preview of the album via "Clockwork," a frantic and pulsating fever dream that served as an insight into the mind of a musician forced to be creative after a devastating year and the toll it took on him. Throughout Obsidian, Bridge chronicles his despair at the state of the world whilst also trying to pick up the pieces and move forward with his own life after sharing his harrowing life story on Alien. It’s bleak, but that's the point. The release of Obsidian will mark an important milestone for Northlane as the band's first self-released record. Forging ahead as a wholly independent entity, Northlane have shunned machinations of the music industry to take complete control of their career. They recently took another step forward by launching their WORLDEATERS Patreon with the top tier selling out in just 24 hours. Northlane are a chart topping, award-winning metal band from Sydney, Australia. Their critically acclaimed fifth record, Alien (2019), debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart and #6 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart. The record also scored Northlane their third ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album as well as the AIR Award for Best Independent Heavy Album. Alien was Northlane's highest selling debut globally, culminating in a sold out world tour. Light The Torch — Howard Jones [vocals], Francesco Artusato [guitar] and Ryan Wombacher [bass] — are kicking off 2022 in a massive way. The band has just shared the video for "Death of Me." Watch it here. The song appears on the band's latest album, You Will Be the Death of Me, out now through Nuclear Blast. "'Death of Me' is a song dedicated to that one single person or habit you can't shake," Jones explains. "A slow death hurts so much more. Ramon [Boutviseth] did a great job with directing this video and we hope you enjoy it. We're excited to play the song for all of you on the 'Atonement' tour, which starts today!” [started 28th Jan] As mentioned by Jones, Light the Torch's tour with Killswitch Engage and August Burns Red kicks off tonight, January 28, in Pittsburgh. It's their first tour in support of the new album, which arrived last June. All dates are below. LIGHT THE TORCH w/ KILLSWITCH ENGAGE + AUGUST BURNS RED:

Tickets on general sale now - HERE TWITTER | INSTAGRAM | FACEBOOK | WEBSITE Prolific metalcore progressives, ERRA are issuing a deluxe version of their latest album "S/T" on 18th March via UNFD. The album is available for pre-order here. The expanded edition is beefed up with seven additional tracks, including a feature from Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante along with three covers. With touring off the table for most of 2021, the band found other means of creative outlet, and opted to re-enter the studio with producers Carson and Grant around the time of the release of what would go on to become their career-defining self titled album. Now, the band is sharing the video for "Nigh to Silence." - click to watch. Guitarist / clean vocalist Jesse Cash shares his thoughts:- "During the end of 2020 and the start of 2021, we tried to take advantage of not being able to tour and having extra time at home. So while we were rolling out singles and announcing our self-titled record, we were also in the studio recording some new songs for a deluxe edition of the record. This was our favourite of the bunch. Regarding the deeper meaning of "Nigh to Silence", the song is set on an empty earth observed by the moon. I intended to express as much loneliness as I could. Then, I thought of 'walking in the shadow of my own ghost,' which felt like the loneliest visual I could muster. I wrote the first line about how the process of writing music feels and my deeply internal fear of being forgotten or irrelevant: 'Floating song, I caught in a dream and passed it on. Frail and fragile is the ghost that I will carry and time will swallow.'" ERRA S/T DELUXE TRACK LISTING:
Cash also offers some insight into the band's process, saying, "Creative ideas seemingly spring up out of nowhere, are nurtured into complete works, and once that is done, I immediately begin moving on to the next thing, to the degree that by the time the song is out and people are hearing it for the first time, I've already kind of said my goodbye, mourned its loss, and moved on from it entirely. This always feels sad, but also cathartic to hand the song over to the listeners and relinquish ownership of it. It feels necessary for me to grow as a musician and as a person, to constantly acknowledge a lack of ownership over anything but myself. It was really special for me to finally write a song about the quiet poignancy of writing songs themselves, and 'Nigh to Silence' has become one of my favourites." On their career-defining fifth studio album ERRA, the band confront depression, anxiety and desperation throughout. They take listeners on a near-out-of-body journey to Aokigahara, the infamous Suicide Forest of Japan; into episodic storytelling that would make Black Mirror writers proud; and into the literary works of Cormac McCarthy and Hubert Selby Jr. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, it’s a definitive mission statement for guitarist Jesse Cash, vocalist J.T. Cavey, drummer Alex Ballew, bassist Conor Hesse, and guitarist Sean Price, each of them already well-respected players revered for their inspiring technicality and raw, natural talent. ERRA ARE:
