From the shadows of Ye Olde England comes the latest single from dark symphonic metal titans Ghosts Of Atlantis, which is also the official single to the supernatural thriller / Horror movie "Witch". Recorded at Devil head studios Suffolk, "Devil's Dawn" depicts a tale of witchcraft, religious ignorance, and humanity's constant struggle to find itself. Watch the video for "Devil's Dawn" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdCNcf48qvU When speaking of the single and film, Colin Parks (guitar/backing vocals) says: "Witch is a phenomenal film with twists and turns, immaculate and thought provoking script writing, and a cast of superb talent. This film is a real gem, and the single had to be crafted to meet the feel of the Movie. The song itself, is a departure from the usual GOA mythology and sound, but we feel it truly galvanises our projects together, and we are both over the moon with the outcome, and you will be too!!! We are privileged to work with such a bunch of like minded fruit loops, hell bent on bringing meaningful impactful content to all you lot!!!" Don't mess with Suicide Silence... you might not live to regret it! The band has dropped the NSFW video for "Capable of Violence." The age-gated video is basically a slasher flick condensed into four-and-half-minutes. And it, well, slays!
Watch it here. "What would it take to make you retaliate?," the band states rhetorically. "Even further, what would make you take a life? Is there ever an appropriate time for violence? We live in a world where these questions are unfortunately answered by many all of the time. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind, yet humanity continues to crave death and destruction. Are you 'Capable of Violence?'" As for the blood and guts visual? "This might be the most Suicide Silence video EVER," the group offers. "We hope you enjoy it. Happy Halloween everyone. Heavy as possible." Suicide Silence will drop their seventh studio album, Remember… You Must Die, which was produced and mixed by Taylor Young (NAILS, Xibalba, Vitriol…), in the first quarter of 2023. Stay tuned for more — but maybe with less blood and gore than the "Capable of Violence" video. https://www.facebook.com/suicidesilence/ After 5 years from our latest album, we are finally proud to release our brand-new single: "The Aftertaste"! It’s really been an infinite work, starting from a music idea created by guitarist Mattia “The Skeptic”, back in 2018. We changed the first draft many times in the following months, at the end turning it into a yet melodic and catchy but also harsh and powerful prog-rock song. For such reason, we decided to release this very song, "The Aftertaste", as the first official single of our new upcoming album, Fractals: a Light among Shadows. "The Aftertaste" talks about the passing of time, through the eyes of a worn-out, broken man who looks back at his life and tries to get the meaning of it. As he goes back through time in his mind, seasons such as “spring” and “autumn” metaphorically represent “youth” and “adulthood” respectively, as he is now approaching the “winter” of his life. But, unlike it happened too often in the past, this time something is different: he is now wiser, stronger and with much more self-consciousness that he is ready to face head-on whatever comes. Watch "The Aftertaste" here: https://youtu.be/nO-zCHc1cKw Frozen Sand is Alternative Prog. Metal band from Italy, active since 2010. South African brutal death horde Vulvodynia slam with new single / video 'Artificial Divinity'29/10/2022 Brutal death metal slammers Vulvodynia have released their blistering new single / video 'Artificial Divinity' via Unique Leader Records. One of the most groundbreaking metal bands to emerge from South Africa, Vulvodynia have returned with their first new track since the release of 2021's Praenuntius Infiniti LP. The self-proclaimed 'Kings of African Metal' have released their most earth-shaking salvo yet with 'Artificial Divinity' - the introductory offering from their yet-to-be-announced sixth studio album.
The band commented: "‘Artificial Divinity’ is about the eventual evolution of humanity by means of A.I. The idea of the extinction of all biological matter, as A.I. becomes sentient and runs afoul of all of humanity’s perversions. We decided to use A.I. generated artwork to fully round off the theme! We had been planning out what we thought the perfect single would consist of for a while. Combining elements from our old material, as well as giving the fans something they’ve never heard or experienced from us before, all while staying true to who we are as Vulvodynia. This song is a special one and we can't wait to hear what you think!” Vulvodynia are:

Formed in Hamburg Germany in 2018, the band - guitarists Chris and Julius, vocalist Chris, drummer Max and bassist Tobias - are one of the newest additions to the Arising Empire roster.
The band comment - "We are incredibly proud to share our new single 'Half Me'. This very personal song portrays our most quiet moments to date. It paints the protagonist's final descent into madness and the ultimate manifestation of another persona within their own self. 'Half Me' is as much a total surrender as it is a bonding ritual. You are invited to find out what happens after the ”Wraith” storyline." Watch the video to previous single 'Wraith' here: https://youtu.be/3tPGtDtItJs In the space of just two years, the band have made an impact in the music scene by self producing their music and videos, displaying their intensive and energetic demeanour. Debuting with four singles initially, it was their their single 'Exitwound' (featuring Jack Bergin of Void of Vision) that gave the group a breakthrough and landed the band in the spotlight of Knotfest’s Countdown to Oblivion. Musically, Half Me blend a modern rendition of metal and hardcore with highlights of 90s nu-metal. Pounding riffs and breakdowns are accompanied by brutal, yet sometimes elegant, vocals that all balance together to formulate the band’s own distinctive sound. Riding the high of their recent success, Half Me have sights set on releasing their highly anticipated debut album in 2022. Half Me will support their label mates in The Oklahoma Kid on the Tangerine Tragic Tour across Germany this autumn alongside Liotta Seoul. Recording independently and remotely the quartet is assembling the follow-up to 2021’s successful ‘Psychosomatic’ track-by-track and sharing the material as it completes, along with visually captivating music videos, that again the self-contained group produce themselves. “Perfect Person” is available now for streaming / download at all digital platforms or watch the video HERE https://youtu.be/MRTrNHlC90A “I grew up in a very religious Mexican family. It was a big part of our lives, especially every Sunday morning when we went to church,” explains guitarist / keyboardist Gabriel Guardian. “But one day, our pastor had a heart attack while in the middle of a sexual act cheating on his wife and died right there in the church after-hours. It was absolutely bonkers and I remember it really stirred up the moral point-of-views in our tiny Texas town. We stopped going to church after that and really started questioning why we were there to begin with. You see, some Christians had such a bad taste of the church that they left religion altogether and felt lied to and deceived, while others said the Christian thing to do would be to forgive him and move on and find another church. It was super interesting to grow up and watch both sides of this play out. This made a very interesting topic to write about and it definitely fuelled the spark for ‘Perfect Person.’ At the end of the day, it is about NOT over idolizing and over glorifying religious figures, politicians, celebrities, even musicians, and the like. I wonder if that pastor had just lived his life and died a non-religious man, nobody would have been bothered, but because everyone sought this man’s advice every week, got baptized by him, got married by him, and put his words and lifestyle on a pedestal, it made it that much more devastating. Everyone can pin a local ‘icon’ in their minds as a perfect figure that could do no wrong and preach endless golden words when in fact, he is just a mortal man with mortal sin.” Heavy topics are not unfamiliar to Immortal Guardian whose previous album focused on the COVID pandemic, likely the first full album to be thematically linked to the disease and its effect on the globe and its people. In the past year, Immortal Guardian have revealed three brand new songs -- “Ozona,” “Echoes” and “Southern Rain” forming a basis for their next conceptual piece. The band will continue to share new material as the creative process proceeds building up to a follow-up full-length traditional album planned for 2023. More info will be released by Immortal Guardian and M-Theory Audio in the weeks and months to follow, including new tour dates. IMMORTAL GUARDIAN is:

Noble Demon CEO Patrick Walch adds: "I’ve always been a huge fan of this style of metal, some of my favourite artists come up with killer breakdowns like our Swedish lads in Beneath My Feet manage to offer in its finest way. They grab you by the balls and smash you right back on the floor, lovely! :- ) There are many young metalcore bands around but it’s not easy to find a really good and dedicated one which can still surprise you with their art. And it’s always hard when you sign an excellent band and instantly wanna tell it to the world but have to hold back for a few more weeks until everything is prepared but today is the day where we can proudly tell that Beneath My Feet are now officially part of the Noble Demon roster!" In support of their soon to be released album, Beneath My Feet have released an electrifying & heavy preview of what's to come with the music video and first single "Dig My Grave"! Beneath My Feet's new studio album will be released on January 13, 2023 and deals with themes such as abuse, trauma, anxiety and grief. "Having lived through the events chronicled on the album takes a toll on any person, but through sharing experiences with others and uniting in struggle, we can rise stronger again" the band comments. Benath My Feet about the song: "It’s a hard hitting trip into the mind of someone knowing that their end is near, how it changes them. When stripped of all control and headed straight towards damnation, what’s left to do but embrace your path? What’s more human than reclaiming your agency, commanding; Dig My Grave!" Swedish death metallers Demonical launch "Wrathspawn" music video, taken from the new album "Mass Destroyer", which is out now on Agonia Records. The video features live footage, recorded by Daniel Rathke and Florian Rehn. "Wrathspawn" is the second music video to be released off the album. It follows "We Conquer The Throne", which can be found here. Developed in less than two years, "Mass Destroyer" reflects the energy that spawned its creation, and keeps to the Swede's HM2-beaten track, promising a few twists along the way. Adorned in an old fashioned attire from Mark Riddick (Absu, Arsis), "Mass Destroyer" packs a gruesome punch, embodies organic sounding and delivers a truly fiendish experience, registered at Glashuset and Sellnoise Studios with Johan Hjelm and Jonas Arnberg behind the helm. Karl Daniel Liden mixed and mastered the album at Tri-Lamb Studio (Cult of Luna, Bloodbath). Demonical on-line:

Look up to the sky to see the "Burning Horizon", the next music video for the third single from Italian progressive avant-garde metal MindAheaD in support of their sophomore story album "6119 Part 1" being released via Rockshots Records on October 28th. The band adds about the track: "'Burning Horizon' is direct and catchy both melodically and structurally; it focuses on the voices that intersect and duet, sometimes harmoniously, sometimes aggressively opposing each other. The instrumental part is articulate, but always keeping an eye on melody and easy assimilation. The orchestrations also play an important role, providing a backdrop to the burned horizon that will turn into a desert very soon."
MindAhead's next full-length offering "6119 Part 1" follows their 2017 debut "Reflections" released on Roman label Revalve Records. Just like its predecessor, the band's new offering is once again a concept album with a complex, personal and unusual sound to test the limits of their songwriting. "6119 Part 1" is a continuation of the previous work on "Reflections", which will tell us the story of 6119, the main character, through a surreal, oneiric journey, always poised between physical space and the realm of the mind. Trapped in this dreamlike kaleidoscope, he proceeds heedless of the consequences, hoping to find at the end of the journey (the "Part II," currently in production) the reason why all this is happening to him. Merging different aspects, sometimes opposite, of human feeling, bringing them together in a colourful and personal musical proposal, which has its roots in influences ranging from prog 70s to death metal, the band explains the new album in further detail: "This album is a concept realized with the aim of telling a story that straddles the line between dystopian science fiction and the psychological investigation of the human mind, so the music and lyrics were created in order to reach these goals. We would like the listening experience to be completely immersive. We would like the listener to be able to take a break from the real world and step into another dimension, one that is distant but at the same time well known, not alien, but almost familiar. The listener should passionately follow the events of '6119' in its inner and outer search for reality, in a story that began in the previous album 'Reflections' and will end in the band's next release, so as to complete a narrative trilogy." Having shared the stage with bands such as Jinjer, Vision Divine, Deathless Legacy, Domine, Pino Scotto, MindAhead is recommended for fans of Opeth, Ayreon, Haken, Katatonia and Pink Floyd. "6119 Part 1" is due out October 28th, 2022 via Rockshots Records.

The explosive track takes the listener on a ride through complex twists, turns and ever changing dynamics. Technical, syncopated rhythms and crushingly low guitars give way to an impossibly catchy chorus that soars into your consciousness with an all too familiar lament. Not being able to go to sleep. Lead vocalist, Dan Charlton, crosses effortlessly from vicious screams to heartfelt cleans, genuinely conveying the sheer frustration of insomnia. “We always try to write about relatable things and I think everybody has experienced this at some point. An ongoing battle with sleep can be devastating and really mess up your life” says Charlton. “Brave The Black is about dreading that nightly struggle in the dark and the range of emotions you feel when you can’t get to sleep, like desperation, anxiety, and worrying about how you’ll cope the next day. ” The single is accompanied by an energetic music video that really enhances the drama of the song and the message it portrays. It features the band performing as well as showing an exasperated Charlton in bed, fighting for elusive sleep. ‘Brave The Black’ is the third single from Ironstone’s new EP ‘The Place I Cannot Find’ set to be released on the 26th of October. There will be a launch show on Saturday 29th of October at the Tote Hotel in Melbourne.
