Serbia's All My Sins set release date for Saturnal debut; reveals first track

7/7/2018

Saturnal Records sets September 23rd as the international release date for All My Sins' highly anticipated debut album, Pra Sila - Vukov Totem. A work of windswept mysticism and pure pagan fury, Pra Sila - Vukov Totem is one which has been brewing since the ancient days, and is now being released into the modern era with a timelessness that's exciting to behold.

Originating from the southern regions of Europe, Serbia's All My Sins was officially formed by Nav Cosmos and V in the year of 2000. The duo gathered a line-up around the idea of claiming its own place among the already-established second-wave black metal scene. Inspired by the spiritual heritage of the land they come from, the band started making records, each of them conceptually placed around the certain mythological symbols.

The first demo, Night Scupltures, was recorded in 2002. It was dedicated to the nocturnal creatures and the driving force behind The Night as a mythological being. The next demo, From the Land of the Shining Past in 2004, focused on the primordial origins of Slavic spirituality and thus was dedicated to The Forest as a mythological entity.

After the several line-up changes that followed, All My Sins was, with few exceptions, barely active for the next 12 years. During this time, V continued his activities  among the ranks of such international acts as Kawir, Terrörhammer, Ulvdalir, and Triumfall.

It was finally in 2016 that Nav Cosmos and V were ready to re-form the band and begin work on a new studio record. The result was the Lunar / Solar EP, which was dedicated to The Sky as a mythic being, centering its basis around the ideas of vanishing, going beyond, and dying as seen through the perspective of southern Slavic mysticism. Black Death Production from Poland released Lunar / Solar on CD in 2017, and the EP quickly got appropriate feedback both from the press and the public.

Already in the second half of 2017, All My Sins were once again in the studio, this time working on a full-length conceptually dedicated to The Wolf as a mythological being. Titled Pra Sila – Vukov Totem (rough English translation: "The Primordial Force of the Wolf's Totem"), the album is thematically focused upon the most important and powerful totem in the culture of southern Slavs.

Reflecting the world of impenetrable places, the symbol of The Wolf carries different, often opposed meanings. In mythology regarded as the ancient ancestor of Serbian people, a creature with unusual attributes is believed to possess obscure divine powers. The meeting of man and wolf is mystically dangerous, yet magnificent at the same time. It is the encounter with demonic being and concurrently the moment when a man meets his native forefather. In the world of wilderness abandoned by man, contradictory and strong, The Wolf represents everything we are not, unknown and terrifying - it is the perfection of a stranger.

With eight individual tracks exploring the metaphysical link between the ancestral prehistoric Wolf and the context of the contemporary age, in order to fully comply with the album's symbolic content, Saturnal Records officially releases All My Sins' Pra Sila – Vukov Totem on the 23rd of September, exactly on the day of the last equinox of 2018.

In the meantime, hear the new track "Vetrovo Kolo" HERE at Saturnal Records' official YouTube channel.

Russian Pagan Metallers Arkona release teaser from upcoming album

22/11/2017

Picture

Russia's leading and finest pagan metal band Arkona, who are set to release their brand new album Khram on January 19th 2018 with Napalm Records, have just unveiled a first teaser and exclusive album preview! Get your ears on this first sneak peak, featuring all tracks from Arkona's upcoming album right HERE!

A Khram, the Russian word for temple, is shrouded in natural mysticism slumbering behind nocturnal treetops, yet open to everyone. The sincerity and depth that binds all five band members together resonates in the sumptuously dark cover artwork and front-lady Masha`s lyrics, that are written in her own blood (which is also part of the artwork)! Arkona may have used sound samples in their early days, but nowadays cellos, brass parts, wind instruments and throat singing are recorded live meticulously and flow naturally into the band's harsh metal tunes: King-sized songs effortlessly shift from blackened pagan metal masterpieces to epic tracks with crystal-clear melodies and piano infusions. So better mark your calendars for January 19th 2018, as Arkona’s Khram is an exuberant and demanding affair that defies genre boundaries with untameable spirit!

Coming as CD Digi Pack, Digital Download and LP Gatefold editions, Khram is now available to pre-order HERE!

Serbian Gothic Doom Sextet The Father Of Serpents are just a a few days away from releasing their debut full length "Age Of Damnation" via Satanath Records (Russia) & United By Chaos (Finland)

Decibel Magazine Exclusively Streamed the Music Video of "Viral", the 10th and last track of the album, which can be found at this location

The Father Of Serpents is an entity consisted of six souls, entwined with admiration for doom metal. Formed in 2015, by the members of the renown bands from the Serbian scene (The Hell/Awaiting Fear, Tamerlan, Rain Delay, Consecration), their purpose was to leave their name within the musical path paved by the old masters like My Dying Bride, Saturnus, Paradise Lost and Moonspell. Father Of Serpents quickly got large amount of attention in Serbia and beyond. Band performed in Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania

First album "Age Of Damnation" contains about an hour of apocalyptic atmosphere, presented through the gentlest of acoustic passages, to the most brutal and vicious parts.

Testimony from the band:

"Viral was the last song we did before recording the album in the studio, just a few days before.
It was almost done in 15 minutes and it went pretty natural and straightforward.
We didn't have the time to overthought or analyse the song, so the energy of the
moment when we were jamming the song is there. It is both groovy, catchy and dark"

Serbia's A|Symmetry's debut full-length album "Fragility" is now out‏

17/9/2016

Picture

Serbian Progressive / Power metal band A|Symmetry released their first full-length album "Fragility". Following successful EP “Room 17: Hours Between Shadows and Light” (2012), "Fragility" is a conceptual story fragmented to 9 songs in total length of 50 minutes of genuine progressive/power metal music with powerful vocals, complex arrangements and strong rhythm section.

Album features guest appearance of Linus Abrahamson (Andromeda, Edge Of A Circle, Metal Station, Nonexist) on lead and acoustic guitars, as well as Dusan Djuric Svilokos (Trigger) and Johan Reinholdz (Andromeda, Nonexist, Skyfire) on solo guitars.

“Fragility was a bit of a temptation for all five of us. Main idea came from a song called ‘Aral Sea’ of the band Burning Circle we share members with. Idea was to broaden a concept and tell a fictional story about fate of a man from Aralsk whose life shared same destiny with dying lake (Aral Sea). It is a musical and lyrical journey that describes a fate of millions of people trapped in a world ruled by dictators, corruption, twisted forms of leadership, malfunctions of society, wars, as well as a critique of both ‘Eastern’ and ‘Western’ way of life. It is also a story about tremendous effect of men on environment and horrible things that mankind does to nature.

We’re sure that album will be warmly welcomed by progressive and power metal fans, but also by people with different musical taste, from hard rock to death metal, since this album has all of that! This album is a huge tribute to all music we love and we are sure that listeners will recognize it.”

states A|symmetry’s front-man Aleksandar Stojkovic.

The album is available through digital platforms such as Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, etc. Physical CD release will be available soon.
