Today Global Metal Apocalypse has learnt that the vocalist of American Groove/Metalcore band Lamg of God has been arrested. Randy Blythe and co. were going to start their tour in Europe when Randy was arrested on charges of manslaughter in the Czech capital, Prague.
This comes in wake of an apparent confrontation that happened two years ago involving a fan climbing onto the stage and then a fracas pursued between the fan and Randy, resulting in the fan receiving injuries from which he later died from in hospital.
All at Global Metal Apocalypse pray for the rightful outcome, whatever the outcome is, however we wish to state to our readers that nothing is 100% clear at this precise moment in time, we will endeavour to find out what happened as soon as we can.
Support from musicians worldwide has been pouring in, here are just some of the messages of support:
Tom Watling (UK - Silent Descent): "That's mental! Support goes out to our metal brothers"
Mark Alles (Sri Lanka - Dhisti):
"Would like to say heads up sir, as a fan i shall always support the band no matter what happens i will still be Lamb Of God fan, thoughts and prayers out to one my idols. Hope he gets released soon start kicking asses once again onstage. peace LOG for life ! hails and full support from Mark - Sri Lanka"
Kareem Chehayeb (Lebanon - Voice Of The Soul / editor of Metality.net):
"I've been a huge Lamb of God fan for the past 6-7 years or so...obviously it's sad to hear that one of the most influential vocalists in metal is in such a situation. At the same time, we have to wait and see what happens as this case develops. I don't think anyone knows what actually happened or whether anything happened or not. My condolences go to the family and loved ones of the fan who passed away, and I hope the case is a fair one. I can only speak for myself though".
Arif Sablee (Brunei - Hebiimetaru):
"Well it is quite a shock to hear about and I really do hope everything clears up for LOG. I dont think it's something Randy would do...but then again he has been known to brawl with his bandmates".
Ashmedi (Israel - Melechesh):
"Probably they will see it as self defense,
