Ivy Crown (former Taras) is an all female hard rock band, with ice queen attitudes and hooks that will get you vibing instantly.
Consisting of a former MMA fighter, a war refugee and a ghetto child these girls are not to be messed with. If that hard core mix doesn’t convince you, then listen to their first single 'Timeout' that will definitely blow your mind. You can watch the video by clicking the link below.
Ivy Crown are driven by heavy guitar hooks and great melodies. The ladies have been a part of the music scene for many years and the ambitions are wide and international. Because of that, the band can already announce being a part of Prime Collective and their first show at Prime Time Distortion in June.
Ivy Crown is this freshly non-written paper, ready to fill a whole new book with their attitude, sound and appearances. Get on the train before it hits you.
Calling the track a “twisted love song,” lead singer Rena Lovelis says that “Break My Heart” was inspired by over-romanticizing the painful part of a break-up. “It’s about how, in a relationship, you go through these phases — the first date, the first kiss, the honeymoon — and then after you’ve experienced all the amazing parts of that love, you want to go to the dark side. You want this person to break your heart so you can feel what it’s like to long for them and to feel so desperate that you’ll do anything to get them back. So it’s kind of masochistic!”
Hey Violet will perform “Guys My Age” on US TV show, Late Night With Seth Meyers on March 21st. They are currently working on their debut album, which will be out later this year via Virgin EMI. In the meantime, the band which is Rena, her sister Nia Lovelis (drums), Miranda Miller (keys, vocals), Casey Moreta (lead guitar) and Iain Shipp (bass) are currently on a sold out US tour. UK fan will get the chance to see the band live this spring, dates below;

“Break My Heart” is the follow-up to Hey Violet’s smash single “Guys My Age”, which was named one of the Best Songs of 2016 by The New York Times and one of the 20 Best Songs of 2016 by V Magazine. The video for the single also racked up over 10 million views. The band are currently featured on the March cover of Alternative Press.
Hey Violet’s current EP Brand New Moves, debuted as the #1 artist album on iTunes in the U.S. and U.K. The Los Angeles Times compared their move “from grimy punk to shiny pop” to the Go-Go’s, while Galore declares front woman Rena Lovelis, “emits an unheard of level of rock-stardom for such a small girl without even singing a single note. But when she does sing, it’s as if Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, and Hayley Williams crashed into each other and made a whole new generation of rock star.”

Popular New Zealand based hard rock band Devilskin has released the Official Music Video for the second single off of their second studio album, "Pray". The video was directed by Tim Van Dammen on location in Hamilton, New Zealand, with the album recorded at Modern World Recording studio in the UK with Producer Clint Murphy (with whom they recorded their No 1, Platinum selling debut album We Rise). Be Like the River is available to stream on Spotify and Google Play, and download on iTunes.
We are beyond excited to be releasing our new studio album Be Like The River on November 11th. The title comes from a lyric of ours 'Be like the river and cut through the stone', the message is about reaching your goals through perseverance and unwavering determination. It has been an incredible journey so far for Devilskin and we feel this album really encapsulates and represents our evolution as a band, as songwriters and as people. - Devilskin
Devilskin has established themselves as a household name in their native New Zealand. Formed in Hamilton in 2010, this four piece rock band are bonded by blood: Paul (bass) and Nic (drums) are father and son, Jennie (vocals) is Nics’ Aunt and Pauls’ sister in law, Nail (guitar) is Pauls evil twin. The band exploded onto the NZ rock scene with the infectious "Little Pills" and "Never See The Light" singles. Their much anticipated debut album, We Rise, released on July 11, 2014 and went straight to the top of the charts, remaining as the #1 Album and #1 Kiwi Artist Album for 3 weeks, achieving Gold sales after only 2 weeks.
The album was certified Platinum in February 2015 with sales exceeding 15,000 albums; an incredible feat in this new age of music. In November 2014 the band released their Live At The Powerstation DVD / CD which captured the band at the end of the We Rise tour, slaying a sold out Powerstation crowd.
After topping the rock charts in 2014 and 2015, The Pretty Reckless returns with their extraordinary third studio album Who You Selling For, due October 21st on Virgin EMI. The new album is the band’s anticipated third studio album and the follow up to Going To Hell, which spawned the biggest rock song of 2014 in “Heaven Knows” and a total of three #1 Mainstream and Active Rock hits. The first single from the new album, “Take Me Down,” premiered worldwide July 15th on iHeart Radio and impacted at rock radio four shortly after. Listen to the new single HERE.
Produced by long-time collaborator Kato Khandwala, Who You Selling For is an arresting collection of rock tunes that expand the band’s sound to encompass soulful, bluesy undertones, written by front woman Taylor Momsen and guitarist Ben Phillips. This raucous 12-track collection puts Momsen’s dark lyrics and raw, charismatic vocals on full display while the band delivers at full intensity with a level of musicianship that raises the bar.
Formed in 2009, The Pretty Reckless released their debut album Light Me Up in 2010 scoring legions of fans worldwide, but it was their sophomore record Going to Hell that positioned the band to become the first new artist to breakout of rock in years, debuting in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top 200. Achieving three #1 Rock hits - “Heaven Knows,” “Fucked Up World” and “Follow Me Down”- was a feat that has not been accomplished by a female fronted group since The Pretenders in 1984, nearly a quarter of a century ago.
Despite feeling the physical and emotional demands from their epic two-year run supporting Going to Hell, Momsen and Phillips jumped right into writing the songs for the new album. “We had so much we wanted to say, it was like shaking a can of soda on tour, and then when we started writing we cracked the seal,” says Momsen. “The touring life is very isolating. You look at the world through a bus or airplane window. But music is the healing factor. It’s the one thing that is grounding and a true companion through the forest. It saved us – again.”
With Who You Selling For the band continues to take bold steps forward, cementing their place at the forefront of rock. The deeply personal album features a diverse set of standout tracks, from the blistering hard rock of “Oh My God” to the classic southern rock of “Back to the River”. Lead single “Take Me Down” features Taylor’s distinctively smoky voice rolling over ‘60s – tinged rock guitar. Loudwire says, “‘Take Me Down’ features a bit of rasp and a soulful delivery from Momsen, while guitarist Ben Phillips gets a solid mid-song riffing showcase that raises the track to a new level. Add in some backing organ playing and you’ve got a blistering new song from the band.”
