Exeter trio Muncie Girls have been turning many a head with the first couple of tracks to be taken from forthcoming debut album ‘From Caplan To Belsize’. Now there’s a brand new single, complete with accompanying video, streaming ahead of the album’s release in a mere couple of weeks. ‘Respect’ is the band’s message to any “lad” that has been caught up in the rape culture that’s rife in our current society, particularly on university campuses and online. Vocalist and bassist Lande Hekt decided to record herself reading aloud some extracts from other writers (Stéphanie Genz and Laura Bates) that help express her feelings on the topic. These are included in the bridge of the song.
The much-anticipated full length will be released on 4th March, 2016 via Specialist Subject Records in the UK. Muncie Girls have also announced a trio of headline shows in March in celebration of the record. Performances in Exeter, Brighton and London will see the band tap a different supporting line-up for each date. These precede a stint on the road supporting Tellison in March / April.
Born in punk shows and dive bars to three driven teenagers in 2012, Muncie Girls embodies the classic punk rock story in a modern context. Fueled by discontent and anxiety, they eloquently address issues of modern living as a self-aware young adult. The result is an ambitious and poignant rebellion against social norms that touches on everything from politics to interpersonal relationships.

"We are totally stoked to sign a new long term lucrative deal with Manchester based Rocksector Records that will see this EP and the next album released by the label. In a time when bands jump ship in a heartbeat and show no respect or loyalty to the very people that showed that all important support when it was most needed, we are more than happy to build from our foundations with a label that we trust, a label that works hard, a label that is independent of so much of the corporate bullshit" - singer Dean Foxx
Knock Out Kaine have performed at some of the most prestigious Festivals, such as Download and Bloodstock, toured Europe extensively with Adler's Appetite (Steven Adler from Guns N Roses), Faster Pussycat, Love/Hate and shows with Status Quo, Heavens Basement and many more!
2016 sees the Lincoln based combo head to Belgium for Wildfest (with Crazy Lixx & Crucified Barbara) & Wizzfest (with former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley). They also headline SOS Festival on the Sunday evening, which promises to be a spectacular show!
Mark Appleton of Rocksector Records adds:-
"We're absolutely thrilled to complete this deal with Knock Out Kaine. They're a band that has been around a few years now and undoubtedly earned their stripes on the live circuit, seeing tangible progress during the past couple of years which is testament to their gutsy determination, sacrifice and commitment, as needed in this business. However, don't let that image of the 'struggling musician' pervade all aspects of what they do because hand-in-hand with the grit and determination is a shining talent in song-writing and performance which sets them apart from so many of their peers and is now deservedly paying off"
Formed in 2005, Knock Out Kaine went on to win Kerrang!'s Best Unsigned Live Act in 2008, going on to release a hugely impressive debut album 'House of Sins' via German label DOTT Music in 2012.
They subsequently signed with Rocksector Records for the release of the follow-up album "Rise Of The Electric Jester" on 2nd March 2015 and this review typifies the excellent response..
'quintessentially British, it is uplifting and joyous but has an underlying intelligent maturity that will give it longevity' - Fireworks magazine
'Cruel Britannia' is set to be released on 4th April 2016 via Rocksector Records.

Danny Krash : drums
Jimmy Bohemian : lead guitar
Lee Byrne : bass guitar

Bath indie rockers Bare Knuckle Parade have announced they will release their new single “Diamond Eyes” via their own label Dirty 38 on the 4th of March. The track is the band’s first material since their debut EP “Iron Lungs”. Recorded live at Middle Farm Studios in Devon, “Diamond Eyes” conjures up the raw emotion and infectious pop hooks of The Gaslight Anthem and Augustines and is a chance for fans to explore the band’s matured sound.
Forming in a pub during a drunken conversation between friends, the band instantly became a hit in their hometown of Bath, with their unpredictable chaotic live shows and a vast catalogue of contagious songs. Early fans from the likes of Dermot O’Leary and Rhod Gilbert on Radio 2, appearances at Glastonbury Festival, Nass Festival and 2000 Trees Festival and support slots with the likes of James Bay, The Heavy and Enter Shikari, seen the band recognise they were onto something and set them in motion to become one of the most exciting bands in the South West.
With an album set to drop in 2016 and a massive UK tour throughout spring, Bare Knuckle Parade are definitely a band to keep your eye on.

Indie buzz band Pvris have released “You and I,” the companion video for their brand-new single. The clip, which can be seen HERE, was shot in Sacramento with director Raul Gonzo. The track premiered on the Radio 1 Rock show last night & had a subsequent play on Radio 1 today.
“You and I” is the latest in a flurry of video releases from the trio (Lynn Gunn, Alex Babinski, Brian MacDonald), following the February 10th premiere of “Smoke,” the February 12th debut of “Ghosts/Let Them In”, and the February 16th posting of “Eyelids.” All four videos will be featured in the deluxe version of the band’s debut album, White Noise (Rise). Available on iTunes here this new double-disc set includes a DVD with all of the band’s videos along with a CD that has full and unplugged versions of “You and I,” along with fan favorites like “St. Patrick” (which has over 6.6 million Spotify streams), “Holy,” (over 4 million streams), “My House” (which has racked up over 7 million streams), “Fire” (a BBC Radio 1 “Track of the Day”) and another new track titled “Empty” (both new songs were recorded with White Noise producer Blake Harnage).
The band, who recently made their network television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” is hitting the road with Fall Out Boy and Awolnation for an arena tour that kicks off this Friday in the USA and runs until 26th March. A near-sold-out European headlining tour will follow. alongside a sold out UK run. Pvris have spent the past year and a half playing to packed-house crowds around the world, stealing the show on last summer’s Warped Tour (founder Kevin Lyman called them the tour’s breakout act) before joining the likes of Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar and Deadmau5 on the Reading and Leeds festivals. This June they’ll join Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding and Disclosure on the Firefly Music Festival.
Led by 21-year-old vocalist Lynn Gunn, who the Huffington Post described as “a force that cannot be denied,” Pvris hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart and No. 1 on their Trending 140 Chart. MTV.com lauded the group by writing, “Get acquainted with the mysteriously awesome Pvris before they become the biggest thing in rock. For fans of The Neighbourhood and Chvrches, Pvris are the best thing since sliced bread” and Alternative Press just spotlighted the band with a cover story. To date, the Boston-based group has over 12 million total YouTube views and 15,548,164 total streams in the US alone.
All of which explains why Buzzfeed called the trio an “Artist You Should Be Listening To Right Now.”
The track-listing for the "White Noise Deluxe" CD / DVD is as follows:
