Southampton-raised, 21 year old London-based singer, songwriter and producer Laurel Arnell-Cullen reveals a second new song ‘San Francisco’ from the forthcoming Theia Recordings release, after time away concentrating on producing her debut album.
'San Francisco' reveals another side to the young artist, who continues to pull back layer after layer - it's a vivid, involving, exciting look at the trials of loving someone who’s not with you. 'San Francisco' has been solely written, recorded, produced and performed by Laurel in her East London bedroom based studio. It follows her earlier release 'Life Worth Living' which in a month has had over 110k Soundcloud plays and reached #3 on the Hype Machine. Laurel is being championed across Beats 1 and BBC Radio 1 as well as receiving nods from the likes of Chloe Grace Mortez and Lapsley.
For the last few years, UK website Mahogany has been filming bespoke sessions with musicians for their video series. The latest instalment saw Mahogany team up with Laurel who performed 'Life Worth Living', the session was filmed at The Averard Hotel art space in Lancaster Gate.
Laurel will be performing at this year's Great Escape Festival as well as Barn On The Farm Festival - headline dates to be announced shortly. Further news about Laurel's debut album coming soon.
