Oklahoma’s Broncho have released ‘I Know You’, a stirring new track from their forthcoming "Double Vanity" LP, due June 17th via Dine Alone Records.
Where tracks like ‘Señora Borealis’ and ‘Fantasy Boys’ arrived sensual, moody, with a sly, bad boy sneer and predatory swagger, ‘I Know You’ continues to mine the heart. “One guy in the band got married, another got divorced. So in this song we are weighing the pros and cons of marriage,” guitarist and frontman Ryan Lindsey explains of the romantic ideals behind the chugging guitar haze.
"Double Vanity" is an album that sees Lindsey and bandmates Ben King, Nathan Price and Penny Pitchlynn vigorously striding ahead, transforming the raw angst of their first record, "Can't Get Past the Lips", and their irresistible second LP, "Just Enough Hip To Be Woman", into a sound decidedly more layered and complex. Tracks like ‘New Karma’ and ‘Two Step’ riff off the later explorations of punk, culling up refracted images of John Hughes prom nights, love songs echoing from a boombox held high. Elsewhere ‘I Know You’ is simultaneously infectious and brooding, but somehow both exalting and heartsick.
"Just Enough Hip To Be Woman" saw fantastic success, with the infectious ‘Class Historian’ single spending over a month on the playlist at BBC 6Music. The record was dubbed “fresh and invigorating” by the NME, “unequivocally strong in their near mastery of sunny melodies and deft pop sensibilities” by Consequence Of Sound, and received further acclaim from The Independent, Noisey, Mojo and more. Their subsequent debut European tour saw sold-out shows across the capital.
Broncho are set to tour America through May and June with Cage The Elephant and will land in the UK for a full tour this autumn.

Los Angeles hard rock outfit 9electric will unleash their highly-anticipated, full-length debut album, 'The Damaged Ones,' on July 15 via Another Century.
The group is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour alongside label-mates Lacuna Coil, Butcher Babies and Painted Wives. Check out the live performance video for the track 'New God to give you a first glimpse into their music : https://youtu.be/iohbWaa9HiY
"We've had a more thematic approach to our videos in the past, but for a blistering track like 'New God,' a raw live show was the only way to go" says 9electric lead singer Thunderwood, who also directed the video. "Being a band born of the new Hollywood scene, we decided to throw a farewell show for a club that was closing and we shot the video there. The power and energy tells the story here, and also offers a hint of what's to come without giving away too much about the depth and themes of our album."
9electric are not just a product of the Hollywood scene, they are a band that helped build today's scene. They did it with a live show that is bigger than the clubs they pack, a sound that is as big as their live spectacle, and the determination to remind us all that while rock and roll is a celebration, it resonates the deepest when it has a purpose. "We are about empowerment and living with a sense of intention" Thunderwood says of the band. "Whatever you do, do it with some fucking conviction. Make something happen in your life."
'The Damaged Ones' is 9electric setting their conviction to music. It is not a placebo intended to placate the masses, it is intense group therapy for the band and their fans.
"The album describes the human condition - no one is truly safe, because at some point we're all damaged" says Thunderwood, with bassist Casey DC adding "the song itself - the album's title track - is about the process of becoming damaged and how it leads to being socially ostracised, a common feeling amongst bands and fans. This song is about how we band together and become part of the rock scene as opposed to the mainstream."
Detroit rockers Wilson offer a glimpse of their life on the road in their latest video for “Windows Down.” Watch the video premiering exclusively on VEVO by clickinh here. This is the third video from the band’s sophomore release "Right To Rise" (produced by Johnny Andrews), out now via Razor & Tie. The album is available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon. The “Windows Down” video was directed and produced by Ray Rivard & Wilson.
When describing the meaning behind the video, vocalist Chad Nicefield explains, “With this piece we wanted to take you into the belly of the beast of Wilson. We pride ourselves on being 5 doods that work hard so we can party hard. The footage here is mostly taken from our recent adventures overseas, where we headlined shows for the very first time outside of North America. We shared rooms with some incredible people while over there. Embraced our roots of small sweaty venues and even spliced in footage of Wilson at home and in our stank box of a van Betty White. It truly captures our spirit as a band and the objective we have set out to accomplish - Fuckery Worldwide. Buckle in you freaks cause it's "Dicks Up, Windows Down!"...and here comes that sweet, sweet fuckery sound.”
Wilson has come a long way since their bombastic, brash, and ballsy 2013 full-length debut album, "Full Blast Fuckery". Through grass roots efforts and non-stop touring the band emerged on to the scene with a raucous, raw, and righteous rock sound that saw them become a live favourite. Wilson has shared the stage in the U.S. and abroad with everybody from Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm and Nothing More to Motörhead.
