Living Colour is wrapping up work on their fifth album, Shade. In a recent interview with Loudwire, singer Corey Glover said of the new album, “As time progresses, a shadow falls and it’s about the progression of time. We’re trying to dissect and really take the roots of the music that created us and take it to task.” Andre Betts, who worked with has previously worked with the band, returned to produce a few tracks on the new offering.
Reid, in a feature for Guitar World, explained the album is influenced by Reid’s interest in how “the blues, hard rock and metal are connected. We’re not going to do a blues-rock record but the blues is very integral and important. So that conversation has been the underpinning of what we’ve been doing.”
Living Colour is Will Calhoun (drums), Corey Glover (vocals), Vernon Reid (guitar) and Doug Wimbish (bass).
Meghan Trainor has today (3rd March) announced her new single ‘Dear Future Husband’, through Epic Records. The track is the third single to be taken from her UK chart-topping debut album "Title" released earlier this year and well on its way to gold status.
As the biggest new global pop phenomenon of recent years, ‘Dear Future Husband’ is Meghan Trainor’s open letter to her potential soul mates. With a typically tongue-in-cheek lyric among her unmistakable sound of big room brass, finger clicks and funky doo-wop pop, ‘Dear Future Husband’ will have Meghan Trainor lovers throughout the world pledging their troth to their super sassy heroine.

In 1994, Downset released their first album, a self-titled release, on Mercury Records and followed up two years later with a second album on Mercury Records, entitled Do We Speak A Dead Language? Fast forward to 2000, when Downset released the Check Your People album on Epitaph Records, and a few years later released the Universal album on Hawino Records.
Downset boasts an extensive touring resume, having performed with artists spanning several genres. This year’s One Blood will continue the epic tradition that only Downset can truly express – hybridizing hip-hop and crushing riffs with lyrics that touch the world dramatically. One of the more recent highly anticipated new bands, Nightmares, have announced that their début record "Suspiria" will be released June 2nd, 2014, via Rise Records. The band have also released new music in the form of "Cujo" which is taken from their forthcoming album. Nightmares will also hit the road on the Rise Records and Friends tour this spring.
Fans can check out "Cujo" and pre-order the new album here.
The epic and urgently dark new album features eleven of the most viciously powerful songs Nightmares have ever recorded. Carrying the emotional and psychological weight of a horror movie soundtrack, the ride begins with the blistering track "Frontiers" which uses an intricate digital manipulation of cinematic sound effects to set the tone of the record.
Tracks like "Hands of the Ripper", "Suspiria", and "Carnival of Souls" are deeply filled with raw emotions which keep fans on their toes as they explore the various elements and layers that are true to Nightmare's sound.
Front-man Carter Hardin expresses his delight:
"We are thrilled to be announcing our début full-length "Suspiria" today, this record is the product of two years of work and we can't wait to share it with you. Our new song "Cujo" is a personal favourite. I wrote it about a Christian school I attended whilst growing up in a society where they forced their beliefs down our throats and wouldn't let anyone question anything. The main message behind the song it to not let anyone force you to believe something... draw your own conclusions and find truth for yourself, whatever that may be".
Nightmares recorded "Suspiria" over the course of a full year with Drew Fulk at Think Sound Studios in Greensboro, North Carolina. The band also brought in heavy - hitter producer and engineer, David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice and Men, Asking Alexandria) to mix the album at House of Loud in Elmwood Park NJ.
The Atlanta based five piece recently released a provocative new video for "In the Mouth of Madness" featuring Tyler Carter of the band Issues, which saw over 250,000 views within the first week of release. Nightmares will take the stage starting April 30, 2014 on the Rise Records and Friends tour with PVIRS, Alive Like Me, and Tamerlane.
"Suspiria" Track Listing:
02. Let The Right One In
03. In The Mouth Of Madness (feat. Tyler Carter)
04. Tourist Trap
06. Carnival Of Souls
07. Enter The Void
08. The Tommyknockers
