Being voted the ‘#1 Freshest Faces for 2016’ by the Evening Standard, and tipped as ‘One To Watch’ in the Guardian, Independent, The Times, Daily Mail, The Sun, Grazia, and Noisey, the 21-year-old South London born singer and songwriter is quickly proving herself as one of the most exciting breakthrough British artists of 2016. The anthemic White Tiger has now garnered over 4.4M Spotify streams and 800k video plays, with Izzy playing three sold out London headline shows and receiving a 4 star Guardian live review. This is certainly Izzy’s year as she is set to release her highly anticipated debut album ‘A Moment of Madness’ in June.
Born to an Ethiopian mother and English father, Izzy’s rich cultural tapestry has informed her soulful indie soundscape. Growing up on a diet of Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse and Marvin Gaye, Izzy’s delicate acoustica threads those nostalgic funk-and-soul elements with a genuine indie spirit.
