Sun, hot tubs and the full portion of metal instead of little snow and much cold and rain. It’s not only because of this that the visitors of this year’s 70000Tons Of Metal may right now reminisce last
week. This year, the World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise travelled from Fort Lauderdale in Florida to Labadee in Haiti and back – and aboard were 3000 celebrating and headbanging heavy metal sailors and 61 bands that made the world’s biggest open air stage at sea tremble with their 123 shows in four days. Bands like Anthrax, Overkill, Striker or Arch Enemy rocked the sold out luxury cruiser at its seventh round through the Caribbean.
In times of national compartmentalisation and purposefully stirred xenophobia, the big heavy metal family aboard the Independence Of The Seas impresses with its own alternative draft. As every year, the amount of nations who conjointly mosh, romp around or relax in the hot tubs has increased again – to 74 this year!
The organizers thank this “United Nations Of Heavy Metal At Sea” for four unforgettable days – and also utter appreciation for the crew that helped to arrange the concerts and special events like signing sessions or meet and greets.
And after the cruise is before the cruise: The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise will set sail next year from February 1 - 5 – and sails from Fort Lauderdale to Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos and back.
Nail Records are happy to announce that Dalriada joins 70000 tons of Metal - the biggest metal cruise ship in the world - this February! Anthrax, Testament, Gojira, Therion, Death Angel, Arch Enemy, Testament, Moonsorrow, Pain, DevilDriver, - just to mention some of the 60 bands playing.
Official statement from 70000 tons of Metal:
“We've got three more solid contenders for the Cripper Award for you Sailors! Throw your horns up for Dalriada from Hungary, Striker from Canada, and Witchtrap from Colombia! They will join you and 2,999 other die hard #Headbangers on board 70000 tons OF METAL, The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy #MetalCruise! That brings the count to 59... which means there's only one more. Who will it be? You will know... SOON!”
Dalriada about the news:
"70000 Tons of Metal is definitely a huge step up for us. Cruising in the Caribbean, hanging out at the pool, slurping ridiculous cocktails while literally TONS of metal are shaking the boat! We didn’t even dream about a scenario, where one day WE, a bunch of drunk guys from Bumfuck Nebrahoma :) are gonna play at one of the most prestigious and exclusive metal festivals of the planet. Well, I guess there’s still a lot more to come. "
So get ready to check the leading folk metal band of Hungary! Historical themes, folk instruments, unique style. Ravishing melodies intertwined with the vast heritage of ancient Hungarian songs, thrilling legends and sagas which will make you weep and cherish life at the same time.

With heavy hearts, notorious NYC Deathcore mob Emmure have announced today that their upcoming UK and European dates have been postponed. The band put out the following statement on Facebook:
“To our European Supporters, It is with our most sincere apologies that we will need to cancel the upcoming Torch The Earth tour. Upon the initial planning of this tour our goal was to return to Europe in 2017 pairing a new record with the tour. Unfortunately some unexpected delays have hindered our chances of releasing the record in this time frame.
We appreciate that our fans understand how important this release is to us, it is a record we have put so much effort into on every angle, and we feel we would be selling our fans and ourselves short if we compromised the overall release of it. We promise to be back at a later time in 2017, and with a brand new record. Refunds will be available at point of purchase for all cancelled shows”.
Stay tuned for further information on Emmure’s touring in 2017.
Emmure recently announced their worldwide signing to SharpTone Records / Nuclear Blast for the release of their 7th studio album, due in early 2017. This album will mark the first appearance with their brand new line-up.
Stay tuned for further details on the upcoming record very shortly…

The announcement comes ahead of the release of their ‘Live At Wembley’ album, which is released this Friday 9th December via earMUSIC, and marks great piece of news in what has been a massively successful year for the band.

Award for Best Live Band, with July seeing the girls pair up with metal god and Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford at the Alternative Press Magazine Awards for a once in a lifetime live collaboration.
September brought another UK award for Best Live Act, this time courtesy of the Association Of Independent Music, just a couple of weeks before their biggest headline shows to date; Babymetal attracted 110,000 people over two nights at the huge Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Babymetal recently announced the release of a new ‘Live At Wembley’ album (December 9th via earMUSIC). With a carefully selected tracklisting, the CD captures the spectacular performance recorded at Babymetal’s first ever UK Arena show, 'Babymetal World Tour 2016 kicks off at The SSE Arena, Wembley’. The KKKK rated album was described by Kerrang! Magazine, who last week gave the band their first Kerrang! cover, “proof of what a devastating live force they are”
