Having supported Stacey Solomon, female footballer Becca B kicks off RnB career with new single11/2/2016 Becca B is kick-starting a promising career with her smooth R’n’B release ‘“Ready and Waiting” featuring rapper MceBisi. Having honed her skills over the years by supporting acts such as Gareth Gates at Party In The Park and Stacey Solomon at The Ashfield Show, the exuberant singer from Nottinghamshire is now ready to embark upon a rosy future in the music industry with a repertoire of suave and laid-back pop beats. Her new single “Ready and Waiting” is a sophisticated R’n’B track that, underpinned by a flawless production and additional rap interlude by the brilliant MceBisi, has got some definite hit potential. She says: “This song is also about new steps. It is about the flirtatious engagements between two new people wanting something more form each other.” Becca B is not fussed about hiding behind an alter-ego. She believes in the principle of ‘What you see is what you get’ and wants the world to know what she is about. She feels that her music gives her a chance to be truly authentic. After having experimented with different styles in the past she has now found her sound and explains: “I feel R’n’B gives me a more intimate platform to put across my feelings, fantasies and loves of life.” With this approach her musical end-product draws upon inspiration from artists such as Pink, Jason Derulo and Rihanna. During her time as a singer Becca has come across some important life lessons when it gets to making it in the music business. Having missed out on the chance to sign with a major label in the past due to the discouragement of her mentor at the time, she has started to learn more and more about how the industry works and taken on a warrior-like spirit in terms of her ambitions. Determination and eagerness are not only part of her musical career – Becca is also a football player for the local women’s team. Her potential for fame doesn’t prevent the singer from staying close to her fan base. Being active on social media allows her to build a direct connection to her followers as a way to keep them updated and interested in her latest work. The single “Ready and Waiting” is out on 12th February 2016. https://www.facebook.com/BeccaBOfficial https://twitter.com/beccab_official

Once Upon a Dead Man, are a new indie electronic band; the sound of three well known brothers and an old friend making a foray into new territory together. It’s an excursion that’s been some time in the planning; brothers Edd, Charlie and Will Simpson had long talked about collaborating, but their respective careers (in Brigade, Busted, Fightstar, More Dangerous Animal and Union Sound Set) meant it was a few years before the project came to fruition. Along with long-time friend and collaborator Simon Britcliffe, the Simpson brothers will release 'Concepts and Phenomena' on 1st April 2016. The EP is a deft blend of beautifully constructed vocal harmonies and washes of electronica. The band consciously stepped outside the traditional label structure to record the EP in their own time, with no predetermined musical direction, no defined roles within the band, and no commercial objective. Converging on Suffolk's Old Jet studios with co-producer Jesse Quin, each member found themselves using more sequencing and synths than ever before during a series of relaxed sessions. The resulting recordings are the perfect product of a group of musicians who’ve known each other for decades, balancing bouncing beats and glacial soundscapes with plenty of fraternal warmth. Once Upon a Dead Man are Inspired by artists such as Jimmy LaValle and Mark Kozelek, The National, American Analog Set and the Postal Service, amongst many others.
