Today sees Jamiroquai release the Charlie Lightening-directed video for their infectious new single "Superfresh," the second official single from eighth studio album 'Automaton'. You can watch itHERE Written and self-produced by frontman Jay Kay and Jamiroquai keyboard-maestro Matt Johnson, the disco-drenched summer anthem marks the band's first single since the album landed at #No.1 on iTunes in 38 countries across the world and top three in 5 earlier this year. Inspired by the visual themes behind Automaton and how we as humans interact with the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today, 'Superfresh' perfectly marries electronic music with bass-heavy classic soul to create the English outfit's groundbreaking sound. It's been an incredible return for the band since the release of 'Automaton', their first record in over nine years, on March 31st. In addition to the album's incredible chart success, the band have sold out their first live dates in over seven years within thirty seconds, have trended globally on each announcement and received massive support at UK radio, including #26 on airplay charts and are #1 on iTunes Pre-Orders. Depeche Mode, one of modern music’s most influential artists, announced yesterday at a special event in Milan that they will be embarking on a world tour in May 2017 to support their new studio album, Spirit, due to be released in early 2017. Following the release of the album, the Global Spirit Tour will provide lifelong fans and new fans alike with an opportunity to see the band’s ground-breaking and intensely emotive shows. The first leg of the Global Spirit Tour will see Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher play to more than 1.5 million fans in 32 cities in 21 countries across Europe. The tour starts at Stockholm’s Friends Arena on May 5th 2017, and the band will play fan-favourite venues including Paris’ Stade de France, San Siro in Milan, and Berlin’s Olympiastadion. Additional tour stops include new stadiums for the band such as London Stadium on June 3rd 2017, Otkritie Arena in Moscow, and Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The European leg ends on July 23rd with a final stadium show in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Please see overleaf for full tour routing and information. Depeche Mode play: Sat 3rd June 2017 LONDON, London Stadium Tickets are priced at £70, £60, £55, £40 and go on general sale Friday 14th October 2016 at 9AM. Spirit will be the musical pioneers’ 14th studio album and the follow-up to 2013’s critically acclaimed Delta Machine, which reached a top five chart position in 26 countries and the number one position in 12 countries. Spirit is being produced by James Ford, founding member of the band Simian Mobile Disco, whose recent production work includes albums by Florence and the Machine and Arctic Monkeys. Spirit will be released in early 2017 via Columbia Records worldwide. Speaking in Milan, Dave Gahan commented, “We’re exceptionally proud of Spirit’s sound and energy, and we’re excited to get back on tour to share it with our fans around the world.” Following the European tour dates in Summer 2017, the Global Spirit Tour will continue with shows in North and South America. The Global Spirit Tour will be the band’s 18th tour and will mark their first live performances in over three years. The band’s last tour, the Delta Machine Tour, played to over 2.5 million fans at sold-out shows across Europe and North America and was one of 2013’s largest and best selling tours. On the Global Spirit Tour the band will continue their charity partnership with Swiss watch maker Hublot, raising money and awareness for Charity: Water toward their mission of providing safe drinking water to everyone in the world. Having sold over 100 million records and played live to more than 30 million fans worldwide, Depeche Mode refuse to become complacent, with innumerable artists citing them as inspirations and critics celebrating them as “still blazing trails” and “becoming more and more significant as time passes”. Spirit and the Global Spirit Tour are poised to continue this history of musical innovation and the band’s critical and commercial success. Coming straight out of the streets of Lisbon, Portugal, Reality Slap is ready to show world that great hardcore music exists beyond the confines of the United States. Reality Slap combine the best of old school aggressive sounds with modern groove based hardcore vibe. Their songs are full of fast riffs, heavy grooves, and they always pack a punch. A trailer previewing Limitless has been issued; check it out RIGHT HERE. The members of Reality Slap are no strangers to the punk and hardcore scene. Collectively, they have been touring across Europe in their previous bands before forming and hitting the touring circuit as Reality Slap in 2009. After the release of their demo and first EP in 2009, they recorded and released their first full-length album Necks & Ropes in 2012, the album featuring appearances from Justice Tripp (Trapped Under Ice, Angel Du$t) and Winston McCall (Parkway Drive). In 2016 Reality Slap signed to WAR Records, owned by Andrew Kline of Los Angeles hardcore band, Strife. The band refined their sound and recorded their strongest material to date, Limitless, at Eyeball Studios in Portugal. Limitless bridges the gap between the old and the new, merging the enduring influence of DMIZE, Outburst, Breakdown, Cro-Mags, and Bad Brains mixed with modern bands like Turnstile, Backtrack, Down to Nothing, and Terror. Limitless is set to be released in the Fall of 2016 on WAR Records... Prepare to get slapped by reality! An official release date, further audio previews, tour dates and more will be posted in the coming days. http://www.facebook.com/realityslap http://www.bandcamp.com/realityslaphc http://www.war-rec.com http://www.facebook.com/WARRECORDS.HC http://www.instagram.com/WARRECORDS http://www.twitter.com/WARRECORDS1 |
