Today at 12.00 (GMT) / 20.00 (UTC+9), Björk will be performing 'Quicksand', from her current album 'Vulnicura' live in the world's first 360-degree Virtual Reality live stream from Mirakan (the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation), Tokyo. The performance can be watched at http://dentsulab.tokyo/events/20160628/ This public filming / streaming is a collaborative work between Björk and production team Dentsu Lab Tokyo, and is part of the Björk Digital exhibition that opens at the Miraikan Museum Tokyo tomorrow. For the performance Björk will be wearing a special 'Rottlace' mask, designed by Professor Neri Oxman of MIT Media Lab and the Mediated Matter Group which was created with Stratasys' 3D printing technology. A live version of Björk's highly-acclaimed eighth studio album 'Vulnicura' will be released on 15th July, worldwide. The record is a collection of fourteen songs selected and mixed by Björk, Arca and Chris Elms that were recorded on the critically acclaimed Vulnicura tour. As well as original Vulnicura tracks, it includes new versions of Bjork songs including 'Come To Me', 'Undo' and 'I See Who You Are' by Arca and Bjork, and 'Mutual Core' and 'Mouth Mantra' by The Haxan Cloak and Bjork. The album will be available on CD, on double-vinyl and as a limited edition luxury box set which includes CD, vinyl, a set of six live Vulnicura photos and a Björk paper mask. 'Vulnicura' has been one of the most celebrated releases of recent years, being honoured as Rough Trade's album of the year for 2015 and Rolling Stone regarding it as a 'triumph'. Participants can upload their video to an app on Greta's Facebook page until May 11, 2016. Winner is then selected with a voting system, where the vote of the jury weighs 50% to the 50% number of likes. The jury is comprised of Greta Salóme, Fridrik Omar and Yohanna who many of you may know from previous Eurovision Song Contests. The vote of the jury weighs 50% to the 50% number of likes.
