German Hardcore mob A Traitor Like Judas have announced the release of their new album "Guerilla Heart" which is scheduled for a release date of 26th August through Redfield Records.
The band present a mighty, catchy record with their new full length release, which has its feet deeply rooted in the Hardcore scene. With real anthems like ‘What Counts’ or ‘One Way Ticket’, the album is an inspiringly positive call to arms, which urges the listener to change their situation for the better. The new album is an appeal to humanity – to look independently at a situation or event, and to make choices that impact the world in a positive way: “We are no radical activists but we want to see change. We are one of the new generations who are actively able to make a contribution,” says bass-player Tillman Listek. He continues “being in direct contact with a completely new and younger generation has influenced the band in expressing a positive vision to today’s youth.” Check out the video for the first new track ‘What Counts’ here www.facebook.com/atraitorlikejudas www.redfield-records.de We Are The Physics are set to play a free gig in their home city of Glasgow this weekend as part of Merchant City Festival. They headline 13th Note this Saturday (27th July).

Most recently, a 7-inch pressing of album track 'Dildonics' was released alongside the never-before-heard B-side, "Welcome Back, Paul Dirac". What the critics say about "Your Friend, The Atom": "A splendid second album to make you gasp, giggle, and buzz like a broken television" - BBC "Packed with jittery, twitching blasts of pop sensibility, couched in thrashing post-punk, surf-rock twang, dance-floor fodder and alien grunge" - Alternative Press "Almost as great as their titles, and a whole lot catchier" - Kerrang! "Like Devo lost their mind" - The Skinny This year will see the noisy Glaswegians hit the big screen with a role in God Help The Girl, the feature film written and directed by Belle & Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch. July RockStorm 2013 Genres: Punk, Thrash, Black Rockstorm 2013 is the first gig in Kandy to have an international band headlining (White City who hail from Kabul, Afghanistan) and apart from it poised to be a stellar show with 2 senior bands (Forsaken & Paranoid Earthling) it also has a prominent name from the Kandy scene who will be performing at a concert of this kind for the very first time, Mr. Bevis Manathunga. The festival will take place this Saturday 20th July at 5pm onwards at The Sampath Hall Kandy Line-up White City Paranoid Earthling Infernal Goatmunition Forsaken Ancient Curse Mr. Bevis Manathunga Tickets: Its recommended that you get them at the gate. If you want the full Sri Lankan experience then I recommend: For Food: Devon Bakers (noon - 1pm is when you get your rice and curry piping hot and are less likely to be disappointed) & The White House (bakery section downstairs... the upper area is for fancy dining and if that's you're thing then the Nasi Goreng is well recommended, just tell the cook to go easy on the spices) Recommended Travel: Train, when ever you're traveling to Kandy, ditch the bus and hop on a train... it's almost the same price as the bus journey but at least you won't be too cramped and would have an awesome access to lush, green, mountain scenery on your way. Why RockStorm 2013? Kandy has long been underestimated to be a dead city for entertainment but not this Saturday as for once in a very long time, some of the very best musicians from that region congregate for that one off epic show that features quite a few generations of musicians.. starting from the legends to the new comers in the scene... also White City is a band that's a rarity! In a world where Punk seems likely to be resting 6 feet under, they bring back more than a sense of nostalgia.. Sonic Youth meets Republica meets half of The Silver Sun Pickups. Armed with an amazing front woman, this band is worth every coin or paper of value you pay to watch them! This gig is a part of history, why not check it out? On Thursday, fans can score tickets to Rockstorm 2013, tune in at 8pm for the Yes Home Grown Top 15 as it gets co-hosted by White City..
