Actress and singer Lea Michele has launched the preorder for her upcoming album Places. The 11 track album, which is set to release on April 28, features the previously released “Love Is Alive” and new song “Anything’s Possible,” which USA TODAY says is an “anthem that’s ready to inspire.” Lea performed “Love Is Alive” on The Late Late Show with James Corden yesterday and will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, March 16. “When it came time to name my album, I settled on ‘Places’ because this album for me represents a return to form, a return to the stage, and a return to the place I belong,” Lea says. “When you perform on Broadway the word “Places” is the last thing you hear over the loudspeaker before a show is about to begin. “Places” I thought was the perfect title for this music and how it reflects who I am as an artist today and where I come from.” Lea is set to release her second album ‘Places’ on April 28. http://www.leamichelemusic.com

Calling the track a “twisted love song,” lead singer Rena Lovelis says that “Break My Heart” was inspired by over-romanticizing the painful part of a break-up. “It’s about how, in a relationship, you go through these phases — the first date, the first kiss, the honeymoon — and then after you’ve experienced all the amazing parts of that love, you want to go to the dark side. You want this person to break your heart so you can feel what it’s like to long for them and to feel so desperate that you’ll do anything to get them back. So it’s kind of masochistic!” Hey Violet will perform “Guys My Age” on US TV show, Late Night With Seth Meyers on March 21st. They are currently working on their debut album, which will be out later this year via Virgin EMI. In the meantime, the band which is Rena, her sister Nia Lovelis (drums), Miranda Miller (keys, vocals), Casey Moreta (lead guitar) and Iain Shipp (bass) are currently on a sold out US tour. UK fan will get the chance to see the band live this spring, dates below; UK TOUR DATES IN MAY 8TH – LONDON, THE GARAGE 9TH – GLASGOW, O2 ABC 2 10TH – MANCHESTER, SOUND CONTROL “Break My Heart” is the follow-up to Hey Violet’s smash single “Guys My Age”, which was named one of the Best Songs of 2016 by The New York Times and one of the 20 Best Songs of 2016 by V Magazine. The video for the single also racked up over 10 million views. The band are currently featured on the March cover of Alternative Press. Hey Violet’s current EP Brand New Moves, debuted as the #1 artist album on iTunes in the U.S. and U.K. The Los Angeles Times compared their move “from grimy punk to shiny pop” to the Go-Go’s, while Galore declares front woman Rena Lovelis, “emits an unheard of level of rock-stardom for such a small girl without even singing a single note. But when she does sing, it’s as if Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, and Hayley Williams crashed into each other and made a whole new generation of rock star.” Website / Facebook / Instagram / Twitter http://heyviolet.lnk.to/BreakMyHeart The official ESC YouTube channel has released the song 'My Turn' that will represent the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.- view it here:- https://youtu.be/ZlwKm-_jvQk Martina Bárta is a young, ambitious, and talented singer – a new discovery on the jazz scene, endlessly travelling between Prague and Berlin, a combination of respect for the classics and a love of everything modern and innovative. With her song, "My Turn," Bárta brings immense enthusiasm, positive energy, and an exceptional style of expression to Eurovision. She captured the attention of the ESC Czech Team's management both with her strong and captivating voice as well as with her energy and musical sensitivity. Czech fans know Martina from her performances with the legendary Felix Slováček Big Band as well as from the successful project, Sinatrology. She also often performs with her older sister, Kristina, who is a successful jazz pianist and composer. Together they have won such awards as the "2016 Best Jazz Composition" at Bohemia Jazz Fest. However, she truly came into the limelight thanks to her win in the television casting show, " Robin Hood – cesta ke slávě" ("Robin Hood – The Path to Fame"), which offered her the opportunity to play the leading female role of "Maid Marion" in the musical Robin Hood by Ondřej Soukup and Gábina Osvaldová in Prague's Divadlo Kalich Threatre. It is in Germany, however, that Martina has experienced her most significant success and popularity. She performs regularly with various musical projects, has appeared at many jazz festivals, works on her own project, "Scotch and Soda," and makes guest appearances with the band of German rock legend, Henning Protzmann, famed member of the bands Karat and Panta Rhei. Her artistic activity abroad has earned her the privilege to meet and collaborate with global musical leaders such as the Roy Hargrove Quintet and American percussionist, Gregory Hutchinson. Last year, she had her first opportunity to travel to the United States of America, when she participated in the Jazz in Port Townsend workshop under the leadership of American contrabassist and Grammy Award-winning arranger John Clayton. A large share of the brilliance of her expression can be attributed to her studies in classical music and French horn performance at the Gymnázium Jana Nerudy grammar school, popular vocal performance at the Prague Conservatoire, and, most importantly, her studies with leaders in their field at the prestigious Jazz Institut Universität der Künste in Berlin. http://www.martinabarta.com/ http://www.eurovision.tv/page/multimedia/videos?id=259353 Australian singer-songwriter Gretta Ray today releases her brand new single 'Drive' in the UK. The finely crafted, hook-laden track was co-produced with Nashville based Australian Josh Barber (Goyte, Archie Roach) and award winning composer Jonathan Dreyfus. Gretta won triple j's 'Unearthed High' competition in 2016 and subsequently saw 'Drive' reach #27 in triple j's 'Hottest 100' last year - the highest debut by any 'Unearthed High' artist in history. You can listen to 'Drive' HERE. Described by Beat Magazine (AUS) as 'the new face of Australian songwriting', Gretta displays a talent far beyond her years, influenced in part by growing up on a musical diet of artists such as James Taylor & Joni Mitchell. Aside from her success with triple j, 'Drive' also won the 18-year-old the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition at the tail end of last year - an amazing feat considering Gretta only released her debut EP 'Elsewhere' at the beginning of 2016. Opening her new single "Take off my clothes and it's me underneath them, this is full time not just me on the weekend", Girli's statement of intent is as strong as ever. 'Not That Girl' sees Girli's characteristic vocal comes to the forefront of the track whilst Black Butter singer and producer King Henry (Major Lazer, Beyoncé) provides a stripped back, slick beat. The 'Feel OK' EP also sees London grime MC Lethal Bizzle jump on the title track with Girli with production from Diztortion (Lethal Bizzle, Tinie Tempah) as well as finishing with the Dimitri Tikovoi-produced 'Find My Friends', which recalls the frenzied chaos and everyday observation of her earlier track 'ASBOys'. Speaking on the track, Girli explains "'Not That Girl' is a shout out to the smirks I get on the tube for wearing what I wear, the horror in strangers' faces when they see my pink hair, the sneering guys outside the pub who think that I care. It is the quiet knowledge that as long as I continue to be who I am and not the girl that others would like me or expect me to be, that I will overall come out on top. It's a mockery of mockery, a song of low-key empowerment in knowing that you're the only one who understands why you do what you do." One of London's most polarizing artists, Girli has been garnering a loyal fan base since the release of her debut double A side "So You Think You Can Fuck With Me Do Ya / ASBOys" in 2015. Since then Girli has come in leaps and bounds, working with a series of incredible producers and writers whilst being championed by the likes of i-D, DIY, Noisey and the Guardian. Girli's live shows are a raucous whirlwind of teenage chaos from start to finish. Following a support tour with Oscar and a series of sold out headline shows (including a partnership with UK collective Girls Against) GIRLI will be heading out on the road again for two headline shows this April at London's Electrowerkz and Glasgow's Stereo. 11th April - London - Electrowerkz - Tickets 14th April - Glasgow - Stereo - Tickets 'FEEL OK' EP TRACKLIST 1.
